I've updated the pros and cons to give a clearer view.

I like the idea don't see why not but can see why it has not been done yet.

If you know its alpha then you should know better than to moan about silly things like this, and just take it in stride if your not willing to help test the game come back when it is finished.

just load the game tab out and do something else whilst you wait to die of starvation, nothing else can be done you can respawn as soon as you become unconscious. Also how can you be sure this is a hacker and not just an unfortunate bug a lot of bugs have been recently mistaken for hacks.

Don't waste your time playing if these alpha bugs annoy you just come back when the games fully released right now we need people to test the game and bring up constructive points rather than just moan about it.

I am the Same, when I played the mod we played on one private hive for the entire time and got to know the regulars on there, it was great as we probably were the first on the server when it first began and our group was known so that if people needed help or bandits killed they would just ask and it gave you something to do at end game.

You probably won't find any concrete answers when it comes to that, optimization is a slow process normally and hard to predict when your not the dev how well it will improve performance but what you do have to go on so far, Dean has done nothing on optimizing the client so when they do get round to optimizing it which IMO is so far not a priority then you will likely see a little bump in FPS or more likely a smoother performance.

It really surpises me that people combat log I just don't see the appeal in shooting people, then any time someone gets the drop on you, you log out ASAP these people do not ruin the game on the level of hackers but they sure are on the same scumbag level as hackers. Now in the past when people combat log on me, I'm genrally not annoyed it is their choice to be that low but I find it impossible to enter there frame of mind or even understand them.

If you get close enough just shoot them in the knees to break their legs, or enough to render them unconscious then proceed to rob them much safer and a lot less chance of them getting an axe into you or a few bullets off. But then it's up to you to help them back to health or just leave them there. I'm under the belief that an awful lot of people would prefer to take thier chances rather than be held up, I would personally go along with it because most of the time it is fun to do so but the people I have held up and have not gone along with it I just think are fools, not one has ever got close to killing me because if they don't press F2 they get shot and I tell them so which I think is silly as I would prefer to live than die just to keep my character the longest I could.

A rather simple question with a somewhat complex answer simply put I would love to see this in DayZ and I do realize this might exacerbate KOS, I also believe that there should be some health issues with long term consumption of human meat not sure if this happens IRL or not, need to do some research and come back to that. Disclaimer I understand that there is a millions things that take priority which I fully support, this is something I would like to see in the distant future when major things are fixed and alpha is finished. /Edit I forgot to mention I know it is confirmed just wandered about peoples impressions this isn't a lobby to get it into the game.

Well this has gone totaly off topic let's try and keep it to the point instead of educating those that don't want to be educated.

I believe exactly the same keep it the way it is. I don't want this to be like WarZ and be able to have 5 character slots, there is no point in that.

Now this thread does not include your friends, what I mean is who was the first random person you came into contact with and what did you immediately do following initial contact. Did you poo your pants and run or did you have a gun and shoot the poor sod in the face. My first ever contact with a player in the SA happened when I couldn't find any weapons or food in the high rises behind Cherno at the time I was more worried about the food as this was on release day and I had no clue really how the food and water system worked at the time and it was rather buggy, so I made the brave move to enter Cherno proper and see if I could make my way towards the fire station on the west side of the city, at this point having played the mod for just over a year on and off and knowing how dangerous it is to enter cherno or any city for that matter, I rather sneakily or at least I thought, made my way slowly there. When I arrived at the fire station, having stopped of in some buildings to search for food and water as I was getting the 'you are feeling tired' and 'you are getting hungry' mood-lets. I finally got there hoping to find a gun or even a can of food to slow my inevitable demise as I had found the fabled can opener in a building on the way towards the fire station. When I heard a quick succession of foot steps followed by someone saying over their mic "STOP! press F2 please" not knowing what he meant at the time and realizing he had a gun an M4 to be exact I reluctantly did what he said when he asked me to drop my axe which I had found minutes earlier, I only replied to his demands with ok's and yes's as I thought well wtf I don't really have much, if he is gonna kill me he would have done it already he's probably just wants some food so is planning to rob me, with this thought in mind I inform him that I have none to give and then I was surprised by his next comment. "no worries just wanted to make sure you were safe, ill drop some food and water on the floor and then I'll leave through the back you can pick up your axe now" And he was right by his word when he left I picked up a can of spaghetti and TWO full canteens, at the time I could not be happier I went on my way with optimism in my heart following the road to Balota and at around 30 seconds into sneaking into Balota I heard two gunshots and saw YOU ARE DEAD pop up. I learned two things that day never go to Balota and this game will always have nice people and douche bags and some days I will be a nice guy and help people out and some days ill be a douche bag and shoot you barcause you have some food or a weapon I want that is just the way the game is and its bloody amazing for it I accept it for what it is.

I have nothing against it being implemented, it would just be the biggest troll though to be discovered because you farted.

I have not heard anything about it but It's not impossible to input an action that allows you to cut someones throat if you come up behind them.

I definitely do not think it is a priority but servers like this should not be allowed because it goes against how the game is meant to be played and it attracts the wrong sort of player the kind that wants to gear up to end game in 20 minutes and go kill people.

You might be an adult but you sure act immature anyone who needs to prop there maturity up with an age is laughable, people judge you on what you say and do and going by what you say it's not hard to come to the conclusion that your rather immature.

Never I can see why people do this but they are playing the game for all the wrong reasons as Chernaraus is such a big place there is always loot and never any need to exploit the game to get more.

Thirty seconds is a good amount of time to discourage combat logging I believe, but I voted for 30+ and wouldn't mind it being a bit more just to discourage it further.

No circumstance permits a combat log, so no never but if people wanna do it, it is annoying but it is there choice to be a douche.

I don't think that 3rd person should be removed as there are still people out there that enjoy the game in that perspective besides the ones that use it to ghost, In my opinion all that needs to be done and has been done is allow for 1st person servers so you cater to both parties and then everyone is happy.

I would consider hacking to me the mortal sin in this list, although comparing to the mod I have not seen that many hackers in my personal experience of the game so far or anything that i can instantly say is a hack and is not just a bug, a lot of my friends say they same so in comparison to the mod I think hacking has been greatly reduced even though people still come on the forums to moan about it which I can understand I still think there cases are rather isolated. I can imagine though that all your list can at least be reduced if not totally fixed e,g play on a 1st person server to stop ghosting

What a pointless thread many games have outsold Dayz it is not big news, I'm just glad that Dayz did so well, issues will be fixed people just have to stop being so impatient.
