I see there is a 75% discount for arma 2 + operation arrowhead (5e) https://store.bistudio.com/arma2-games but i cannot find information for how many days this will last, because i have no money on my account currently and i need to wait for monday to cash in. There should be more events like this, but the devs doesn't want to implement "side chat/channel" like in the mod, with which these events could be easily aranged, bur instead one must write in the forum for such a thing, because it "kills immersion". -

^ They dont know where to hit. I have a friend that i saw fighting multiple times, and he usually wins with one hit to the chin and he is not even a boxer. For this game i think this is fair as you need to get really close to your (armed) target and hit it precisely, also account for retarded movement controls/animations limitations we got currently. -

This is the third time for one week that i see hackers/cheaters on the same server, but this time i got them recorded. Server name: [FR] LES ENCULES DE L ESPACE !!! | 24/7 DAY | 2H/RS | HIGH LOOT Around 20:00 gtm+1 if it matters. Maybe desync can cause this? :P WTF BattleEye??? I see more and more stuff like this, infinite ammo, speed-hacks, people run thru walls like there is nothing... -

This was on stable, current 0.42 build. Some pbo/glitching cunt shoot me near atc tower and my body fell half thru wall, and i adjusted brightness/gamma to be able to see him: and then he moved a little back prone and aiming at my friends that were near small building near atc: -
^ This. When you hit someone move to cover and wait for it, they will fall. Also you might notice if you fall from ~1m height, character just pauses there for a second, like it needs that much time to calculate if player should take damage or not.

I see that you dont play this game that much. 1. Reloading Mosin while there is more ammo in it, you should know that doesn't work. 2. Called him "decked up" while he have pretty basic gear. -
Warning: in this video i am playing on Regular servers, if you dont like 3pv, dont watch it. :P After watching some video where a guy (freshspawn) is handcuffing a sniper and taking all his gear near Electro firestation i deicided to try and do the same thing for fun. I spawned near Svetlo, found some disinfectant, empty bloodbag there, then visited new town north of NEAF where i found hancuffs in firestation and headed to "sniper hill" near airfield to try to find someone. idk how this guy did not hear me while i was moving near him. And here is some failed attempts (ignore my friends talking on the TS): 1. Saw some movement in the bush and though there is only one guy there but... 2. Same thing as first fail. There was 3 guys with same clothing, duping maybe? What do you think?

Sometimes i hear people talking while joining some servers.

Sometimes i play alone and sometimes i play with my friends. Depending when we get free time our numbers varies from 2 to 8 people, tho i would not call us a "clan". Usually we spend our time on and around NE airfield, because most of the guys that come there are "geared" up, and IMO it is not fun to hunt fresh-spawns on coast or coastal towns. Since there is not much interesting to do in this state of the game, we camp/wait/flank around and shoot everybody that comes near. So i guess i am none from the above choices. Never heard about you before, are you some kind of "badass" guy like Itchy and Mucky (might forgot exact names) that likes to brag about themselves? Ego much?

Saw a lots of bodies and cleared all the rooms inside prison building few seconds later some guy come out of the wall/glitch (inaccesable room above front door) and shoots me dead. I dont know how they do this, but please, please, i beg you fix this crap exploit. At least put some extra inverted polys/triangles inside those areas so they at least cannot see us.

Mark my words, this will never be implemented, tho maybe when they allow modding but that will be "broken" as shown on video from first post, and then i doubt majority would want to play on that. This is so complex to pull out right that and it does not worth the performance penalties it brings. Similar thing is for "flashlight seen thru walls". I see only two solutions and they are both very expensive: 1. Good: all objects affected by flashlight cone should cast shadow. 2. Inaccurate: custom software rasterizer (cpu intensive, gpu stalin/waiting for work) on downscaled resolution with proxy objects (occluders/occludes) to sort & search which objects should be lit. -

Help with tactics, and avoiding miscommunication

^ This. Me and my friends are using this same "tactic". Make up short names for field quadrants, treelines, buildings... Always update (tell) your position when moving, there is no time for questions like "is that you?", "who is this?"... so you can react fast. No need for specific clothing. -

I set my character to be "black" guy as default because i think it is better camo in bushes/grass, tho i am not black IRL. Once when i was running down the coast as fresh spawn, i met two guys that started to chase and try to hit me with fists (they were also fresh spawns), and from the accent i think they were americans. They start yelling a lot of things like "slave", "nigger", "are you from Iran"... (and other racist things i will not mention), tho i never responded on my mic. This make me really sad, i would never say such things to anyone as it is plain stupid.

What are the cons of having higher Field of View

It depends on the distance, player can been seen as few pixels on the screen, and when you lower your FOV that might squash it and look like it disappear. Tho i am guessing as their ingame FOV slider might change some other things beside fov.
