So I have noticed a huge increase of stream sniping lately. Apperently there is a group that has been started on 4chan to go and stream snipe many streamers. It doesn't matter if you play offline on steam or change your name. All they have to do is find your name once and then track you though external tracking, eg: server tracking websites. These websites also have a way to see previous names of players so changing your name doesnt help. Is there anyway that external tracking could be disabled for SA? That way you can stream and be offline on steam and not get stream sniped.

Desktop CPU: Intel i7 4770k @ 3.5Ghz boost @ 3.9Ghz Mobo: Asus Maximus Formula VI RAM: 16Gb G.Skill Sniper Gaming Memory @ 1866 GPU: EVGA GTX 660 superclocked w/ 2Gb Vram SSD: Yes but games are on a 1Tb westerndigital Black @ 7200RPM PSU: EVGA 750watt Supernova 80+Gold I know my system should be able to run this game no problem, however, with the settings on normal i get very poor frame rates. Is it possible that the alpha is just not optimized for my particular setup yet? If anyone knows some settings i could chage to get better fps and still have the game look good please let me know.

Massive database or hive lag but great server ping?
Mojomaster001 replied to synystr's topic in General Discussion
Yes this is a bug that is happening to everyone currently. I do know that earlier today there was a tweet by hicks saying that they were doing database maintenance to fix some of these problems. I don't know if they are finished with the maintenance however. Hopefully the database lag will be fixed after they are finished. -
You can give whatever criticism you want to. However, all these people who say that they are entitled to all these things is the problem. There was plenty of warnings about the game be unfinished before you bought it. If you didn't do your homework before buying the game then that's called being an uniformed consumer and no ones fault but your own.

Wow this is amazing how many people just don't understand the game development process. Most games are in development for around 4 years before they even hit alpha. The fact That they gave us an alpha in less then 2 years given the fact that they scrapped the whole project at one point and started from scratch again. To all saying they don't deserve a break and it took to long for them to release the game, get over yourself. You can go try and make a game and come back and tell me how it goes. Because i bet you that in the amount of time they have been working on SA you couldn't even come close to what they have achieved.

I agree on the fact that number of post in the forums have nothing to do with any of this. However, what you and most people complaining in the forums don't realize is how long it actually takes to develop a game, especially one that you create a whole engine from scratch. As for the question of ":How would i know anything about it?" I work in a small independent game studio as lead programmer. Fixing bugs and other issues with a game takes time especially when the majority of the staff is on vacation. Everyone just needs to stop complaining about how "Unfinished" an alpha is. To be honest Rocket didn't even need to release the alpha for public test. Hell, most companies do all the alpha testing internally. If you don't like the game don't play it. It's that simple.

Security Vulnerabilities fixed by Patch #2 and Character wipe
Mojomaster001 replied to rocket's topic in News & Announcements
Glad to see your making it harder for hackers and scripters. Keep up the good work Rocket. And for all the people complaining about the wipe. Issues with the servers and security on this level can't be tested without a decent number of players playing on them. It's an alpha things like this are bound to happen.
