I don't understand your use of "meta cheats". Are you saying that anyone who plays with people they know is cheating?

Would anyone else like to see a second alternate public hive? I play with a group of friends, but I also like to run around solo and join up with randoms. Currently with just 1 hive it is very difficult if not impossible to do both. If I decide to run off and find some randoms then I risk losing all my gear AND a long travel time to get back to my friends. Even if I don't die I will still have a long travel time to get back to my friends. Tents will help out with losing gear but it could still mean an hour of travel once my friends log in. Currently I find myself not playing at all until my friends are on since I don't want to risk the travel time.

Make sure your microphone is set to be the default recording device in Windows. Programs like TeamSpeak and Skype can be set to use a device other than the default. My default was set to "What You Hear" and direct com did not work until I set my microphone to be the default in Windows.
