Im so upset : ( Has anyone goten themselfs into this yet and if so how to get out?
Avengerki replied to postgresql's topic in General Discussion
You can try logging in the corner, sometime that works. -
So how about instead of killing on sight, I hold up a person. I get him to lay on the ground and handcuff him. Instead of looting him I then give him everything I have, except maybe a canteen and a can of tuna. I then tell the player how to break free from the handcuffs and run away cackling maniacly as I go to find more stuff to give the next person.

So I respawned near Electro this morning, ran through doing some quick looting and eventually had a mosin, and a fire axe. Ran into a newer player and offered him my fire axe and anything else I had other than the mosin as I was wanting to take out a hunting group I kept hearing gun fire from. He did not want anything and was happy with his splitting axe. About 10 minutes later from a high vantage point I finally spotted the hunting group using a fire station, I kept seeing people run into the fire station and then heard a barrage of fire and no one leaving. So I kept watching the fire station and there is the guy I offered my stuff too heading into the fire station, gun fire and he was dead, at least he opened a door so I could see in. Took out 2 guys from a distance, as I kept watching saw a couple more players run in followed by gun fire. I was getting tired so headed over there came around a corner shot 1 and then a guy with an M4 hiding in the corner turned and started firing at me, I let off a round and just before I died saw him go down. It was a good day. Hopefully a new spawn was able to get what he needed off of the 10 bodies I saw in there, plus mine.

Well I did it yesterday sort of. I had died from a fall and then respawned near Balota. I ran through collecting stuff, melee weapon, M4 with 30 rounds, backpack, cargo pants and some other stuff. I see a person and run up saying hello. I get the "I need help I'm thirsty and hungry" from him. I say "Here take my stuff" as I proceed to strip and leave everything I had on the ground and as I am running away in my underwear and sun glasses I hear "Thank you"

Bullet proof vests and Night Vision goggles.
Avengerki replied to Smoothshoes's topic in General Discussion
I am not against NVG's but it would need to reduce the FOV as others have said. Of course I would also like to see if someone shines there flashlight at a person wearing NVG's that they get blinded, but not all NVG systems have that issue. And the same thing if a person has just been sitting in the dark waiting for someone and then a person runs up shining a flashlight at them and they get blinded like real life. -
Well I was going to say something but Jsharp pretty much nailed it and with more detail than I was going to provide.

An idea for Green Mountain, and some background. [warning, reading involved!]
Avengerki replied to Stiptikspec's topic in General Discussion
I love it. When I playing with my friends and a navigationally challenged friend joins and want to meet up with us we use Green Mountain. I mean if only they could mark this mountain with some type of beacon so we can find it. Your idea is great and I could totally see your vision, or at least my vision of your vision. -
Make pistol holster mounted to belt and compatible with vests.
Avengerki replied to roguetrooper's topic in General Discussion
I like being able to carry my pistols western style. If the pistol is across the chest how can you have a shoot out at high noon? I think finding a hip holster would be a lot more likely over the chest holsters. Seriously just looking at how I do things in real life I would prefer to have a pistol on my belt. I wear cargo pants all the time and have items in the pockets. When it is cold out I wear up to 4 jackets at a time with the jacket that has the most capacity on the outside, and I still utilize the other pockets as needed(my wife calls it my man purse as she is amazed at everything I carry on a daily basis). I utilize my belt to carry a knife, cell phone and other stuff. I sometimes even rock a fanny pack(but mostly when doing photography). I even regularly use a backpack. My item hoarding does not just happen in game. It is not uncommon for me to be carrying 45 pounds of stuff, although for most day to day activities it is under 25 pounds. I already know I am not normal, but I am not alone either. -
If you are running with buddies that have a high bandwith due to using some of the container bugs this has also been found to be causing the issue. One way to tell is if their bandwith is really up there.

He did not make it up. It is a statement I have heard from a good number of years from many different sources. As has been stated the Israeli military employs its use. The mafia in New York were known for doing a double tap to the back of a persons head with a .22 when eliminating a person. While not exactly proof it is covered in detail: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080818140047AA41Gc5

I never said it would be easy. Probably be easier to sneak up and handcuff them and then do it. But I think I will definitely try it the next time I am on and see someone at least gunless. I have kinda gotten to the point already I don't care if I die since I keep actually trying to find bugs and issues and reporting them. After dying so many times from just trying different things until there is more to do this should be fun. Of course this means I need to spend more time near a coast. The other day I did have fun playing ring around the town with the entire towns zed population following me after I had spawned until I could ditch them. I then went back on the otherside of town to find food and drink it was great.

EZ mode. Popular with the kids these days...
Avengerki replied to jjw100's topic in General Discussion
Just curious if you mean the original Wolfenstein 3D(1995), or the game it was based off of Castle Wolfenstein(1980's). While both would be considered FPS, Castle Wolfenstein was a blast to me back in the early 80's. I like trying to survive, when I am with my group we go hunting mostly KoS people. When I am by myself I either leave you alone or run by you but have been thinking of changing it up some lately and doing reverse banditry. If I see a freshspawn holding them up, handcuffing them and then giving them all my stuff along with how to break out of handcuffs(eventually) and running away maniacly. -
Just spawned near balota airfield and hit the tent site at night. (First time being there by the way) Decide it was to dark to look for items so turn on my flashlight, suddenly start hearing a "get on the ground" like twice and then he appeared in my flashlight beam with an M4 in his hands but not pointed at me. I turn around aim myself at the door, shutoff the flashlight and run outside and break into another direction as I put the flashlight away and then sprint around the tents blindly while hearing the guy unload the entire clip at I don't know where since none of the bullets came anywhere near me, probably shooting straight out the tent in the direction I had headed. I then went prone under a tree waited a little bit and after not hearing anything logged off for the night.

Ever hear of the game called knockout? It seems all the cool kids are doing it now adays and there has even been arrests over it.

I like the idea of the rain poncho's. Personally I do keep one in my backpack IRL and have quite a few stashed around the house and car. They don't take up alot of space, are light and provide protection even if you don't always look cool.

You can eat food to help recover blood loss. If you think you have ate plenbty of food and should be seeing colors again you can try going into your video settings. It some times corrects the issue.

I should of tried pulling the suppressor and firing. But my buddy couldn't hear me firing it halfway down the airfield with a pristine suppressor.

Some of you guys sound like a person I ran into the other night at the tent city near balota. It was night and I had just spawned, decided to follow train tracks and noticed the tents. Went into one and thought way to dark can't see anything pulled out the flash light and started to look around and hear something like "get on the floor" then the guy was in my flashlight beam pointing a gun at me. So I turned around pointed myself at the door began to jog and turned off the flash light. Stashed the flashlight and started sprinting between and around tents hearing random gun fire. Then I dove and hid behind a tree. -
As a zombie survival game having a large map is an advantage, it gives you places to roam and hide and try to make a life for yourself without zombies at your feet. If all you are looking to do is to PK you want the small maps, like most of the games you listed. This game has only recently been released as a standalone alpha after being ported from a mod. Buildings which in the mod you could not enter are now enterable with some interaction. Zombies which were very light the first couple of days on release are already being spawned more although they still only happen on server reset right now, its alpha the respawn is currently not working but fixes are being put in place. I do find it fun exploring these large maps and finding the hidden little extra details they add into places. This is a truer alpha than I have seen in many of years. A game in Alpha means it is in the first of its design really, things will start off light and by the time they get ready to go to beta will be closer to what you are probably expecting. A game in alpha will have many broken parts and a horde of glitches, by the time it goes to beta a game should have no broken parts but will still have bugs and glitches that need to be worked out. By the time a game is released in theory you have removed all of the issues and the game is perfect, in reality you will still have bugs and glitches that will need to be patched. The more people are involved in testing and ACTIVELY reporting any bugs, glitches and other issues they find the easier it is for a developer to know what needs to be fixed. As more features get added in the greater the chance of an issue appearing which is why they do things in stages. When you take two programming systems one being the core engine and the second being the mod things will be broken and need to be changed and altered in order for it to function. No matter how easy you may think it would be there are always issues when modifying a core engine. The engine is being modified to better support the overall picture the developers have for the game which may very well include a number of the items on your list but first they need to be developed. The more graphic intensive you make a game, especially a large multiplayer sandbox game such as this the less you can really offer the end user. Could they possibly optimize it so that the client is receiving every detail for the entire map and render a smaller area sure but then they would probably be handing over more control to the client(you) which can add in more lag, can you say CoD where you should someone 5 times in the head and then they turn around and shoot you once and your dead.

Zombies with Character, a Rare Disturbance
Avengerki replied to Frost20's topic in General Discussion
I have seen some zombie already that will leap attack at you. There is a little bit of difference in them now but a larger variety would be good. I heard that Rocket was talking about making it so they will walk various paths and possible form mobs like the walking dead. That would be cool. I also keep waiting to see a zed wearing one of the payday masks or even a hat. -
I have found some clothing items will deteriate over time but not always, that or I am being much better with them. The one thing I have found seems to constantly deteriate is my headlamp. I will get a pristine headlamp and a few hours later look and it is badly damaged. Find another one and it happens again, yet my clothes stay pristine. I have noticed being hit by zombies deteriate my clothing and backpack. If I have a weapon and attachments at pristine they stay pristine all the time.

Yep two of my buddies disinfected each others clothes in the middle of the forest yesterday. They were just messing around with the disinfectant spray. I have heard but can't confirm that disinfecting rags and bandages with the spray will help keep you from getting infections.

I find if I eat till it says I am stuff and then continue to eat 2-4 more times after that and also drink till it says I am stuffed and then 2-4 more times after that I will get either the healing or the healthy. When it shows healthy all the colors become much more vibrant. After that eating and drinking on occasion helps you to stay healthy. If it stops saying healthy eat a couple cans of food tend to bring it back to healthy along with drinking. If you get hit by a zombie and were bleeding out eating a can of food and drinking some will help you stay at top health, that is after bandaging yourself. I also try to use the alcohol tincture or antibiotics after being wounded. It really feels like the further you are away from being full on food and water the less the colors show, the same as blood loss.

I ran into 2 random people today. While I didn't say hi I just ran by them and continued my business. When one started looking for me I hid behind a zombie and when I heard his footsteps walk off I ran off to find another town.
