I have a request from the Lord-King Syzai, ruler of the Five Dimensions. If you have not heard of this land, do not fret, our king will soon rule over all that is made up of matter and anti-matter. I digress. The request he has sent me to give you is as follows: Add instruments into this mod. Now, my king understand there may be naysayers; those who will sooner strike this to the ground in the name of the sanctity of this game, rather than understand the reasons for this request. Reasons that are sound. (No pun intended) 1: There is much long distance travel on foot. Most of the time, my group is frosty and wired-tight, constantly checking our surroundings and half-expecting to encounter another group of players over the the next hillside. The rest of the time, we're cracking jokes and taking potshots at zombies while traveliing to Northwest when the server is empty. Adding instruments will add even greater oppurtunity for hilarity to ensue during our long journey. I do think it will add much more fun to the game overall, however. Not that the game is lacking in fun. 2: I'm rather rusty on my history, but I do know in the American Civil War and previous wars, there were flutists other such infantry musicians. These musicians kept morale up and added some entertainment while traveling long, strenuous distances to fight and kill other people. If instruments were addded to the game, I can garuntee that there will be individuals in other groups that are purely dedicated to playing music, even in a large firefight. This can ensure that instruments are not forgotten after such a stressful coding process. 3: I mean, do you need a third reason why being able to play music in Day Z will be fun? All in all, I understand why this wouldn't be a priority, especially this early on in development. At the very least, please add it to your list of future content. If this does happen, a lot of people will have TONS of fun with this, and you work will not be in vain. I think you (the developers) will be surprised what people will do with these. Day z boy bands?!?!?!?! I think so!!! For the Great Lord-King!
