    My Issues with the 1.7.1 Changes

    yes. the game is all about raising stakes. so that the taste of each can of beans would feel as a miracle. you are counting bullets and fill your flask with trembling hands.

    Difficulty levels??

    as far as I remember, it concerns bots in general ARMA. they don't see that far away and shoot sharp. also, it's about interface. you can spot them by markers on the lower difficulty level. anyway, nothing to do with Day Z
  4. well, I suggest taking the inventory system from the graceful "1.13" mod. instead of a global inventory, we have a few slots for specific type of vest\holster\pouch (alongside with backpack, where you can carry anything) depending on type of vest, you can carry only certain items (AKM ammo clips for russian military vests, more place for slugs in hunter's vest, etc), and have a bonus to the number of those items. but you can't take anything else instead in those slots. wich means, you can't carry toolboxes, mines and stuff like that if you don't have some utility vest, and etc. this would make players plan more carefully (or deal with what they have came across), without introducing some crappy conventions like "classes" P.S. I also would like to see fireworks or signal flares, and more health issues. like distillation of water, performing surgeon operations (taking off bullets, cutting off limbs (like in ancient PC game on survival - "Robinson's Requiem")), etc

    I'm against any "planning" from above. there must be only a few rules, and they already exist. I don't want Day Z to turn into RPG

  8. getting good equipment is the only long-term objective for most players as for now. I think, having good stuff makes you already paranoial enough these dayZ. making it even more harsh? well, it's all trial and error, I wouldn't mind to try this in some next patch, but I doubt it would work. I mean, it works already

    I think the only solution for PvP "problems" (I don't consider it so) - is to introduce some non-lethal weapons. if you don't want to kill people, you can stun them or something (because we often don't want to kill but don't trust strangers either). but it's all your decision. don't make it a rule for everyone, or else choose another game to play

    or you can give it a serious thought, that maybe people like this mod precisely for the lack of all those "classes" B\S? precisely for authentic experience? you try to plan player's lifes and how they should behave. I know your intents are good, but not every person wants everything made up for them

    Disconnecting to avoid death

    I think there always will be exploits like this, and creating "zones" or time-penalties won't solve the problem. after all, people who disconnect or jump from server to server would leave (as it is no fun at all, from this perspective the game is meaningless), and the rest of us will be playing more adequately
