I actually made a whole thread on this idea alone the whole black powder rifle addition as i think it goes well with hunting

I don't see why everyone screams optimize optimize all the time alpha is for adding things beta will be for optimizing things and as far as release id assume adding and fixing as some things are added. The only time you should be working on bugs in an alpha is if its absolutely game breaking not because it makes it kinda hard to play if you can "play" the "game" i use those words loosely because its and alpha test not some AAA hype fest beta thing. if its not 100% unplayable you should be fine this is meant to be a test nothing more.The notion that it is gonna work flawlessly in an alpha state is just bad and shouldn't be seen that way at all. They know exactly what they are doing Like one other said you shouldn't make the chair look pretty till you have added all the legs.

Black Powder Rifles I know this will be shot down faster than a clay pigeon at a elitist target shoot, BUT I wanted to voice my opinions on why and how this would be a neat thing for Dayz. Know i have seen threads about reloading brass and all that on these forums and think wow that's a great idea and people have voiced there opinion on it so that's why i want this thread to be made I WANT to see the opinions of the community. Now with hunting and such being a thing in the future of the game and the whole going back to basics game attitude i think these items would go hand in hand! Infact I have heard in russia they have tons of Black powder rifles on display in museums and im sure that people could also have collected these rifles or even made them in their spare time and as this game world is Russian-esque it will make a great fit and isn't to far fetched in my eyes. Now i am American and am not sure of what is legal in hunting terms in Europe and the like but i would love to see this happen. Now onto the meat of this subject!! Manufacture of black powder: Black powder in reality is simple to make but requires a great deal of perfecting to get right. BUT thats why we play games am i right to break the boundaries of what reality is and have fun. Recipes can be found for it all on the internet and the likes and the ingredients arent hard to come by. Usually black powder is a mixture of saltpeter, sulfur and charcoal. Also a black powder without any sulfur yields good results and produces even less smoke. A reasonable recipe is a mix of: 100 parts of saltpeter, 18 parts of charcoal, and (Parts given by weight) 16 parts of sulfur If you want to make a powder without sulfur, then mix 100 parts of saltpeter and 24 parts of charcoal. Now if we can find medicines and weapons and all that good stuff around the wasteland we can find ingredients In fact we could use the already existence of the charcoal tabs in game to fill the role of the charcoal in the ingredients.(Yes i know its not the same but its also a game so we can make it work) and that means that would have 2 uses in game. A lot of people also talked about making lead shot for rifles to reload old cases in game that's a neat idea and that's what i'm talking about next. We can mould our own balls for shooting in these black powder rifles in fact i think i read in a history book that soldiers would reuse shot balls and just melt and remould them (correct me if i'm wrong) But once again its a game you can do what you want this isn't reality so you can skimp on the details. I mean in what world does morphine heal broken legs :) Now Many people will shout nay and say that this has no place in Dayz but that will not stop me from voicing y opinion and suggesting things i would like to see in Dayz but in closing If people can ask for helicopters and hi end military gear then myself and others can ask for this. Its not a farfetched idea and i think it suits the survivalist nature of the game quite well but its a suggestion and this is a forum and i am prepared for the naysayers and the supporters alike. I made a huge post in suggestions about what i wanted to see already But i want to see a Black powder rifle and such for hunting seeing as we need more civilian weps and not all that mil spec stuff

You can try verifying the game cache that may help and it might also be your card i'm not sure also the card you are using is on the bare minimum of playing this so even if you get it working it may not be a playable experience. But just try verifying the integrity of cache in steam to do that just right click the game and got to local files tab and click verify game cache that's about all i can help with

I love the ideas being thrown around its awesome to see new topics pop up everyday. And before i get flamed for saying it but even tho dean wants an authentic feel he never elaborated in what way. So to the people always saying no that's wouldn't fit in the universe why not is that not why we play games to escape reality so when bringing up topics why argue it couldn't happen because reasons? I enjoy things being realistic but at the same time if we limit ourselves to only what would be realistic I can't see there being that much to get or do. So keep on posting dem topics :D

Yeah i made a thread like this once about gear becoming damaged and losing gear like it falling out if you dont repair with a sewing kit or such so i love these ideas and i guess it would be easier to just make it lose slots lol Also JTHM for the win man :)

Yeah I like the setting a lot already but i would really love to see seasonal changes and the like because it would make it seem like a living breathing world. IMHO I think it would benefit from it plus it could add for odd weather and the like. Kinda like the mod for skyrim called Frostfall it adds life to the world through adding elements of cold and stuff with seasons you could do the same there would be extremes and cause ppl to think more on the survival side instead on the KoS side it would just add to the PvEviroment ppl keep saying is there it would make it a reality. Also I realized you mentioned hot and cold but yeah an ever changing world is what i want. But that just my 2 cents. Kruger287 out.

Yeah a lot of people would skip over it but of course i want it more of a hunting thing as you would waste less of your rounds for defense and of course you could pvp with it if you wanted but it would be a primary hunting tool.

The only guns currently in are the Mosin Nagant FNX 45 M4 and the 357

I look at it this way in real life i gotta look out for myself i cant just be like hey im friendly and the random guy who broke in my house to murder me will have tea with me. Take it like real life be cautious,Really cautious in real life they have some crazies that would love to wear your skin. And with a game like this that simulates the world gone to hell in a hand basket with NO repercussions they can do it. So instead of getting mad about pvp pve just remember we cant turn off pvp in real life and i wouldn't expect it any other way the only way to stop someone from killing you is killing them first or running away plain and simple

I Honestly can agree with this If people don't like it they can go elsewhere and no i'm not 12 or a teen but, its stupid to tell someone who obviously has permission that he can't also this is about steam. Man with the money people shell out for Next gen consoles. You can build a budget gaming build that will run games fine you don't need a supercomputer to play most games (that's only to max em and still have em run good XD). But i hat when i see a topic i can only buy ps4 and Xbox 1 plz we need Dayz on it. It bugs me to no end. look around use the money and build a budget gaming rig and such its not hard. Go round forums ppl will help you get the best for your money. TL;DR- If you can afford Xbone or PS4 you can get PC

We are not his parents. So we can't dictate what he plays and what he doesn't that's his parents job not ours. If his parents let him get it then he is fine. But on a side note he types pretty good. Also what Weparo said don't say you are 12 that will help.
