I heard that that they changed the spawns again so Elektro isnt a TDM game. My friend is getting the game today and I want to know where I should head to meetup with him.

So should I go to Berezino and hope he gets a spawn there?

Dude, calm your tits. Just get a new computer. That's your only hope. If you can't run DayZ I doubt you can run any game. So no, your not paying $600 for one game. Your paying $600 for a ton of games. Save up your penny's and buy a new computer. Or just get a $500 laptop that runs the game at 20 fps on lowest settings, like me.

Hello, my friend has been wanting DayZ standalone for a while now but he has to wait to get it because his parents are saying no. Is there any way I can share the game on steam with him for the time being? The steam sharing is weird and I can't seem to find any good tutorials on it. Can somebody help?

My friend tried it and it won't work. He has the game in his games library now but it says "purchase"

Now, as we already know, vehicles will come a bit down the road. But I'm hoping my idea can get a vehicle in here sooner. Either they can just copy/paste the vehicles from Arma 3 or Arma 2 into the standalone, or they can for now just add a bike. While bikes aren't super fast, they're better than walking everywhere. This shouldn't be too hard to implement and can hopefully come soon. I think this will stop alot of the complaining for vehicles if we have bikes to ride around for now.

KOS can be annoying and I try to trust everyone I can. I do this because I like to roleplay. In a real apocalypse I'm not gonna go on top of sniper hill in Elektro and wait for people to come by. I do KOS though when I'm in high-traffic areas such as NWAF. If you don't want to get KOSed then don't go to places like Cherno, Elektro, and NWAF. There are plenty of other places to loot that people don't tend to go to. I doubt they'll ever put rules on KOS.

They're not gonna add any of the stuff you wanted to the mod. This is because they don't support the mod anymore. The reason they don't support the mod anymore is because standalone's out and they want people to pay for it.

That would be nice, but the issues it could cause..... If someone kills you but your friend kills them, TP back would be no issue. The issue comes when someone kills you and your friend and that person who killed you are in combat. You could TP to your friend and distract the enemy, or you could die, come back, loot your body and have 2 people again. This could be good if it happened when you first joined a server, or if there's been no gunshots recently or no people within a certain radius of the person your about to TP too.

I usually just go on low populated servers till I can gear up enough to actually have a chance at not being wrecked by someone with an M4. I usually loot Elektro (on low populated servers) to get an axe and maybe a pistol. then I go to the Balota airfield for some military supplies (usually just get an M4 and a mag or two) then I go hide in a safe area and play on a more populated server. All this can all be done very easily if you know how to play and if you know the map well. I also recommend you play with a few friends because most people play in groups, and the bigger your group, the stronger. If you have any questions just message and I can answer them. If you ever want to play with me or something to learn strategies and stuff we can do that.

Fortifying bases would be good, and I think this should come when vehicles come since you don't really need bases until there's vehicles. They should also add epoch to DayZ. Just the building part though. I don't think they should add the traders from epoch. Security cameras would be realistic, but need to be extremely rare, and hard to get the materials to make them fully working. Since it's a zombie apocalypse, anything with working technology should be EXTREMELY rare. The rarest items in the game in my opinion.

Yeah, I agree. I don't want them adding all this gimmicky stuff and I'd prefer they'd stay on the main point of the game, which is a zombie apocalypse survival simulator. I don't want all these security cameras and stuff. I like what you said they should add, like tents, cars, and heli's, but I also think they should try to add more reasons not to be a bandit or at least not to KOS. While bandits are needed for the game to thrive, I think there should be a nice balance.

No. I only get like 20 fps on lowest settings without shadows. If shadows was required, I wouldn't be able to play.

I feel as if it's too hard to find food. I often find myself dying of hunger more then anything. I know to look in houses for food, but it just doesn't spawn enough. Starvation is my #1 cause of death. I think it would improve the game much more if food was more common. Also, sometimes I find food, but I can't open it even with a can opener. I'm only able to inspect it. It doesn't say it's empty or anything, I just can't do anything with it.

Still having the issue, I even uninstalled the game, this is getting extremely annoying now. The thank I would give to the person to help me fix this would be insane at this point.

At NEAF I usually find weapons, Soda like no other, and an occasional can of food that I for some reason can't open
