Go to Supermarket in Elektro or Cherno, also if you had flares in your inventory you might have pressed f.. which toggles Flares and youu may have accidently pressed left mouse button, which made you throw the flare on yourself and thinking it was someone else. You asked for tips, ill give you some tips :D 1. Never trust another person unless you actually talk to them trough skype or some other program, and they have prooven to be your friend. But they can still backstab you, this happens often but the risk of someone you know backstabbing you is significantly less than someone you just met.. 2. When you spawn, Always try to spawn close to Elektrozavodsk or Chernogorsk, these towns are usually lowly populated (according to my runs trough there) and have alot of high yield buildings very close. I prefer Elektrozavodsk because the supermarket, hospital, appartments, offices and orange brick residential is all within 100 metres from the supermarket, while in cherno its mostly spread out trough the town, but if youre going to cherno then hit up the supermarket first, then go to the military camp north east of supermarket, in the northmost corner of the town. 3. some things that have saved me alot of times is Good headphones with surround sound. Good internet, 120HZ Screen (Higher HZ screen shows you about 0.3 Seconds earlier than an 50-60HZ screen, this is good if someone is coming outside a corner and you can see them 0.3 seconds before they see you, which gives you more time to react. Good mouse with buttons on the mouse (incase you are using sniper rifle you can change the controls so that you have Zeroing UP and Zeroing DOWN located at your mouse, much better than Page up and Page down.) 4. Most people dont run trough open fields, i do this all the time without dying, just run zigzag, stop, do a 360 spin with your mouse, this will make it really hard for snipers to zero in correctly and get their crosshair at you and shoot where you will go, since the bullet have flight time. 5. Go north for good military stuff. 6. at start, if you find a Makavor and M1911, go for the m1911, because the ammo for m1911 is the same as the revolver (same goes with revolver and makarov :P you take the weapon with the most common ammo) Dont bother with double barreled shotguns, Winchester is a good shotgun but atm the only ammo for it is slugs :D Some people prefer Lee Enfield because its a 1 shot kill, but it makes alot of noise and the fire rate is not very good. I prefer the winnie because of its firerate and accuracy :) And you said you wanted to find a group of people to play with. The difference between going solo and going with other people is the feelings you get from playing, The heartbeating you get when you're all alone and you found a player isnt so good when you're playing with other people, this is because you know that if you die, your friends will hold on to your stuff and kill the other man, so you dont really have anything to worry about, but when youre all alone you know that there is a risk of loosing all your stuff for good. But then again, going with other people is more funny. Ive had alot of fun playing solo, being terrified because i just saw a group of people walking past me, finding good loot and preparing for a long trip all by myself. But being with other people is great too, finding a vehicle is awesome when you have friends, and its not so lonesome either :)

all these ideas are shit. they dont make sense at all, there is no point in them, they are useless. spawn 3 zombies on location of player that got killed by a bandit. wtf is this, this doesent make any sence, nor does it make any better, it just makes it retarded. make guns and ammo even harder to find, so that people will kill even more players. Poison Blood bags and offer to people when i can just put a bullet between their eyes and save me time and blood bags. zombies spawn after 5 seconds if you dont lit them on fire and notify all the players around you that youre here. oh and if there is a pack of zombie after you, you will never get rid of them because of them respawning as you kill them. you sir are retarded.

I usually hit up Elektro, i sprint trough the Supermarket looting alice bags, map compass perhaps a winnie some beans and some soda, then i sprint over to the apartments and crouch run trough all the rooms, then over to the hospital and fill my bag with medical supplies then run over to either the orange brick house or offices if i havent gotten a wep yet, if i still havent found a wep yet i check out the church then south firestation then i run to the north firestation before i run up to the barn just north of the north firestation, and then i continue my journey from there on towards either zelenogorsk or stary sobor, if i want to i'll just sprint trough NW Airfield while running zig-zag and running 360 circles randomly so that the snipers have a hard time hitting me. Being silent is Overrated, only time you actually should stealth is when you are about to encounter a firefight with a player. What do you do when you spawn?

step 1. See outside your window. step 2. Is is day or is it night? step 3. Find out which timezone you're in. step 4. if your timezone is gmt+0 and its night, that means that servers that are gmt-8-6 have day. Most servers have the Timezone in the server name. step 5. Join a server that has day. step 6. ??? Step 7. Profit.

I usually just sprint in, most people when they see you they will walk slowly, so if youre quick looting, sprinting trough the rooms you can actually get all the good loot in 2 minutes without getting shot at, i do this all the time and it actually works, snipers have a hard time sniping you if your sprinting.

just go to the hospital, people will kill you if you give away your coordinates.

its popular because people mostly go trough it if theyre going north, it also have a supermarket. Many people set up camps and tents west of zeleno since it has little traffic right there. second favorite town, first one is elektrozavodsk :)

sure its not a hacker? hackers usually pull of shit like that. mostly teleporting them to otmel island, you might find some bodies there if you know there has been hackers on the server. :)

FN FAL mags are rare/extremely rare according to wiki, they only spawn at heli crashes. Here's link to the wiki http://dayzwiki.com/...p?title=FAL_Mag Heli crashes spawns randomly outside of towns and cities, mostly in fields or close to a forest. mostly up north from Zelenogorsk - all way north.

I prefer Zythons idea, It wouldnt be too hard making a safe zone, and it would be more realistic. ( this is my 100th post, wohoo! )

Some rumours have said that Dayz will go to Arma 3 when it comes out, and in arma 3 every house will be open, but right now they wont make a patch so that you can go into more houses, since DayZ are using a map from the original Arma 2 Game, rumours also said that arma 3 will be made in a way that it makes Dayz even more compatible to the game, like better night, all open houses, better combat etc, since DayZ is 50-60% the reason that people actually buy arma 2, when dayz came out the sales went rising incredibly fast, so Bohemia Interactive will most likely be cooperating with rocket to make DayZ even better at Arma 3.

scroll up while looking at the tent while you're close, scroll to gear then left click, then you will open tent, just press the Left arrow on things you want to put in.

tip nr.1 - Turn of bobbing in Options, running in 1st person while bobbing makes spotting other people really hard. Dont use post processing either as it blurs out the distance which makes things harder to spot.
