thanks for the answer. however i have zone alarm. i removed the battleeye from my firewall as i was having issues connecting to dayz servers. and usually when i do this the battleeye is added again to my firewall auto, next time i run dayz. however this time it is not as i have checked. so im asking how i can add it manually?

i deleted the rule from my firewall for battleeye. now when enetering the game im getting stutter when interacting with other players. i know this is due to battleeye not being in my allowed list for my firewall as i have had this problem before. can someone please tell me what i need to put in manually into my firewall allowed list?

Oh i just made a post on this same topic and just saw this one lol. Dayz is also completly unplayable for me today, rubber banding constantly and charactor wipe everytime i switch server

Hi all, i havent seen any other posts mentioning this. Today Dayz in completly unplayable for me, rubber banding is worse then it was yesterday, it happens constantly. My charactor is wiped every time i change server. This is also happening to my friend as well. I hope this is fixed soon! Please post if you are having simular problems so the creators take note

Im confused how do u add friends on day z standalone, i see the tab in the server list. Also how do you communicate with them?

Hey all, i have been wandering around dayz standalone for a few days and hardley ever see a soul, Even if i do generally they are so scared, they shoot first ask questions later. So im looking for a small clan or group of friends to hook up with as i am sure dayz is much more fun playing with others. I am based in the east US and looking for players who are online and playing during my timezone. Please leave a reply here. Oh and mature clans or players only i am 35 not a kid.

Anyone have any idea how much data dayz uses? like say per hour. Is there much server communication?. I thought i read somewhere ony the zombies were handled serverside is that correct? Im only wondering as i have a 150 GB cap on my internet and i can see me pumping many many hours into dayz

actually using the controller is fine i have all movement and combat buttons mapped to the controller and the keyboard handles the rest...works great!

Hi all, does anyone know and can tell me what the default controller layout is for dayz and a xbox 360 controller. i have figured out a few buttons but i want to remap some buttons. Which it WONT let me do in game so i am having to use an old version of xmapper. So basically i need to know the default layout so i kow what buttons im changing. And please dont start with the kb owns controller stuff. I am very adept with both, been playing counterstrike for years. Just im playing on my sofa and a controller is much more comfortable.

Hi all, my first few hours on day z. I died during my first encounter with a zombie. Second encounter... i am alive but bleeding, I have no bandages, i heard you can take off your shirt and tear it into bandages? I cant figure out even how to remove it! i tried dragging it into my belt and pockets with no success. can someone tell me how this is done?? Loving day z by the way, i never played the original mod. But as soon as i saw the alpha available on steam i had to get it, as survival and zombies are my kind of gameplay. Hope you guys can answer my nooby question!. Thanks.
