A helicopter has crashed in Chernarus carrying a detachment of scientists who were en-route to implement a potential cure. 2 scientists have survived the crash and have been picked up by a local private security firm (Clan TLa) after the survivors triggered an emergency beacon. Their mission was to escort the scientists to a safe-zone, and move them to the extraction zone when new transport has been arranged. Today the scientists are being escorted to a new safe-zone after reports came in of a local terrorist group (Clan SG1) who want to take the scientists and sell the potential cure to the highest bidder. With the recent events with the source code, when are server hosts going to get some serious assistance? Hackers are a serious issue of late and will be so in the immediate future. All we can do is kick them until they either get bored and move to a different server or just simply change there name? Yes its alpha and the source code will be entirely different on proper release but helping the guys that fork out money to give your player base a server to play on should be a priority? Am I wrong?

thrak's docile tones over teamspeak do put a smile on my boys faces but who cares bud, he is a top bloke so who's a keyboard warrior to say who you should play with? Take it from us, we get alot of hate on our videos from other clans, even videos of them pretending to be us :) Your doing an amazing job with everything and like you know you have our full backing, so don't stress about the peanut gallery. -
like max said, we continually kick explicit or racist names until they either give up or realise the issue and change there name, kicking due to explicit names are in the server hosting rules so they don't have a leg to stand on.

we have also had this happen, we all jumped server and logged into the NE airfield. Got into an engagement then 8 of our clan members got kicked, then logged back in as freshies. Hence now we rarely leave our own server, sad people need to do this.

A fun little gathering between our clans, played on a hardcore server with only a mosin or blaze allowed.

What can i do to draw more players into our server?

Whats worked for us has been having teamspeak and website so non-members are aware of events on the server e.g - clan wars, fight nights, even have a TLa team similar to the Reddit Rescue Force. Just do your best to communicate with your playerbase and keep everything fresh, yes this is even possible in an alpha game. -

thanks mate, this was also a training exercise for a few of new recruits so was very impressed with them. The unconscious guy woke up cause they didn't double tap but died soon after, got a lucky spawn and came straight back for his gear. -

I understand where your coming from, but you aren't allowed to kick players to make space for clan members and kicking without solid evidence is a no no also. We kicked players for racist/homophobic/rude usernames but when it comes to hackers we have our pants down until we get more weapons as a server admin.

Instead of stressing about the difference between KOS and PVE, you should be focused on getting a strong player base to carry out of alpha.

Here's the edited down version of the epic interclan skirmish we had in February, was a great learning experience for our newer members and put everyone under pressure to win and loot the losing team.

Its not a bug, they have disabled crouch while fists up, not sure of the exact reason.

Can we change our restart time from 4 hours to 2 hours?

I have my server with Vilayer, and we recently recieved access to the Battleye Extended Controls Scheduler File which will allow you to script MOTD's and server restarts, I haven't played with it but heres the link to the information page if you'd like a look. http://ibattle.org/install-and-configure/setting-up-the-scheduler
