Balota is too easy to avoid. The entire coast is too easy to avoid. I don't understand the problem. You don't want KoS'd, you don't stay on the coast and you SURE don't go to Balota. No changes need to be made. -

This being Alpha, the best thing to do is just respawn. There's no telling how long you'll be out for.

Those items are in-game, but still need to be "activated" by the devs. If you find a Portable Gas Lamp, you can use the canisters with those, though. Set it down, turn it on, presto! Instant playerkiller beacon!

I've found the books I pick up to be readable if you bind one to a key. It's the whole damn book, too. Seems Rocket wanted to add a little culture to the Apocalypse.
