Looking for Asians to join my dayz group

I put the "Cauc" in "asian", if ya know what I'm sayin'.

    Eagle Eye DayZ

I'm sure this admin is as bad as you say, but your post makes you come across as a little unhinged yourself.
  3. Characteristically cynical! For every urban legend, red herring and wild goose chase out there, there's a thousand opportunities for what the community calls "emergent gameplay" which can be pretty fun, or so they tell me.
  4. Ubernaut

    What do you die from?

Oh, what, nobody dies from zombies or starvation anymore? What about player melee? That happens a pretty good amount, too.

I can punch a grill in DayZ?

I see you're from Brazil, so I'm gonna let this slide. OP is asking if he can hit girls. Yes you can hit girls. Most of the girls are really guys anyway. :P

Kids with guns...don't forget the safety switch

This. I have dialed down my expectations for the DayZ team quite a bit, seeing how much effort they have to go to in order to make seemingly (to a layperson) simple upgrades to the game. There's just no way.

    In the name of god.

I just like how it's the one with the trollface avatar that's being trolled a little bit here. :)
  8. Hah, even your TL;DR was TL;DR. Just kidding. I agree with pretty much all of this, so beans to you. I am starting to believe one thing: DayZ may not end up being able to fulfill its ultimate promise. The concept has been introduced, though. I'm starting to think it may be up to another developer years from now to really nail down the Zombie Apocalypse. There's been several games that really came close, and succeeded in a lot of areas, but none to the magnitude that DayZ has, and still it falls short. What I'm really looking for, honestly, is Project Zomboid in a gigantic 3D world like DayZ, with crucial things like vehicles.

    Dayz Mod's essence is dead.

This is a side effect of a community that is made up less and less of newcomers and more of old, cynical bastards. It was inevitable.

To the dude at Balota airstrip today on low pop server

It is this kind of intensity (and honestly little else at the moment) that makes DayZ so appealing.

    make death a worse experienc

The amount of whining we've seen from others who died while fully geared means your opinion is not how most players feel about dying. If you want to make dying suck more for YOU, try imposing some rules on yourself, like no respawning for 24 hours of real time. That's just one idea for you. The sky's the limit. Additionally, when vehicles and player storage are added, you'll have a lot more to lose. Be careful what you wish for when you tell the devs "more suck plz".
  12. Ubernaut

You are fully geared, would you shoot these people?

I want to see more polls like this.

    Where are all the players...?

Eventually you'll find a player. The way it'll happen is you'll be running along, not paying attention, and suddenly your screen will go black.

    Action in Svetlo !

Dude, tactics. If you know there's a sniper, why aren't you behind cover? Running straight at a sniper nest is a bad idea.

    A quick salute

A bit of an uplifting story. Maybe you'll recognize yourself here. A day or two ago, I was poking around Berezino and began hearing gunfire. It sounded like a single survivor shooting zombies. Now, I've made it a point to hang around whatever populated city I spawn in, just to maximize my chances at player interaction. I've been avoiding it during much of my time in Chernarus, and I think that forcing myself to be around randoms more often will reduce my jitters in a PVP situation, should it arise later on when I'm playing in earnest. So here I am in Berezino, without any ammunition in my SKS. I figure it's a good idea to head to the police station and see if there's anything of use. When I get there, there's a dead guy on the second story. I pause and listen for footsteps, check my surroundings, and then try to check him for loot. I end up accidentally hitting "Open Door" on the wheel menu, and there I am face-to-face with a player crouched at the far wall, Mosin aimed at me. There's no time to react, and he fires, clipping me in the arm. I turn and dash down the stairs and get on the mic, asking him to cease fire. I hear him ask if I'm the guy shooting people in town, to which I only reply "I don't even have any bullets!". I get to the woodline and patch myself up, noting a fracture. Great. My vision is blurred too. Good thing I had a backup roll of bandages in the medkit in my pants, because the one in my shirt pocket is ruined. I spend the next 10-15 minutes running around half-blind, looking for sticks to splint my arm. I'm not being stealthy anymore. Then, I hear a voice behind me. "You. Stop." Well, shit. Time for my first experience of getting handcuffed and fed rotten fruit. The player who halted me is geared the same as the one who shot me in the first place. I am resigned to my fate, but decide to talk to him. Turns out, I was able to trade my SKS for a shot of morphine and his Mosin. He apologized for shooting me, and I didn't hold it against him. How could I? I believe his handle was "Owner." Thanks, bro. Also a half hour later, I met a random stranger at the Berezino construction site who was fully geared. Not only did he hold fire, but he gave me some actual AMMO for the Mosin. TL;DR: Random Heroes do still exist. Faith in humanity (slightly) restored.

    A quick salute

He was aware of that possibility, and as soon as he dropped the ammo, he was around the corner and gone. I was ducking behind a dumpster as we talked. It was about as tense an exchange as I'd ever experienced, but it turned out to be legit. When you hear a person who sounds rational and mature on the other end, it can help a lot.

    Wear your helmets, folks

My life was saved by a helmet 30 minutes ago. I was looting Polana and a guy got the drop on me with his fists. I had a helmet, some basic gear, and a pickaxe. He had a rifle on his back, but since he was going with fists, I figured he was probably without ammo. "Dude, leave me alone." I sound annoyed but non-agressive. He's already landed a couple hits, and I'm bleeding. He says something unintelligible, so I try to sprint away. He lowers fists and sprints after me. After a few seconds of this, I get on the mic again. "Come on, don't make me fight you...okay then!" He continues to hit me, drawing more blood, but I raise my pickaxe and hit him twice, aiming for the head. He drops unconscious. "Hey man. I made it very clear that I wasn't in a fighting mood. Now I get your stuff." I patch myself up and grab that rifle. Nice. I actually have ammo for it. "There's not much there." Is all I hear him say. Verily, he didn't have much else. "Nice rifle. All right, now I think I'm gonna patch you up, because I don't know why. I guess you'll wake up when you wake up. Bye!" He got better than he deserved. I even left him his cowboy hat. A lot of good it did for him. Helmets FTW.
  18. I will judge people for wearing Payday masks and no pants. I'll always avoid a fully-geared guy if it's an option. If I know someone has detected me, I'll talk to them. Since I'm almost 30, I have the benefit of sounding like a reasonable human being, and not a high-pitched KoS kiddie. A lot of times, it has worked out for me. But just as I always try to sound sane and non-threatening, I listen to other players voices as well. There's a lot you can reasonably assume about a person from what their voice sounds like. I think I've got a good idea of what a treacherous douchebag sounds like, and if your voice gives me that gut feeling, I'll up and vanish on you.

The importance of staying calm - fail

Wow, yeah. I understand the jitters. That kind of panic and confusion is one of the hallmarks of DayZ, though. This is a prime example.

We enjoy this for different reasons

I am surprised by how much of this I agree with. Beans to you, OP.

    First ever KoS...

The English alphabet. The signs in Chernarus are in the Cyrillic alphabet. That's why the letters look strange to most westerners. Edit: Here. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyrillic_alphabets

    First ever KoS...

Pretty sure that's Kamyshovo in our alphabet.

Imagine if chenarus had a living personality: let me explain

Something like this that includes audio would increase the zombie apocalypse feeling that we're supposed to get from DayZ. I don't know about you, but I'm not really feeling the horror right now. I *want* to feel the horror. Desperate, garbled radio transmissions would be sooo awesome.
