I find the opposite, if you don't use a flashlight at night, then it's hard to detect you or anyone else. Whereas during the day it's easy to spot anyone from a number of distances so you have to stay on the edge of your seat

I appreciate where your coming from with a past in development and i think you're making some valid points Now for my two cents: I believe they released the early alpha publicly because they had to. Let's face it before the release, we had been waiting on the SA for over a year. Their window for a huge fan/playerbase was closing quickly, and i think they released just in time to capture everyone's attention. But thats just my opinion

I never played the mod, I jumped straight into SA. I think yours may be a unique scenario in which your friend just wasn't interested, because it clicked for me within the first 2 hours

I don't understand why a lot of people complain about night. 80% of night servers are very bright nights on which visibility is still pretty good

Same thing happens when a gas station blows up but a slightly different alert. Not sure if it still happens or not

There seems to be a lot of bugs surrounding the spray paint right now, obviously the biggest being the Mosin channeling bug

Either desync, or you didn't hear the gunshots for some reason. Were you near any high elevation places like mountains or buildings? Snipers like to hang around there a lot
