It would be neat if the sunglasses or other asthetic head items effected the vision in various ways. All effects would be while in 1st person or Hardcore mode. - The Sunglasses could tint your screen. Colored sunglasses could give a color tint! - Gas Mask would limit vision to the lens sizes, as they do in real life. Even more realistic if vision was less clear with lens glaring. - Hats could have some sunlight blocking effects. - Doctor masks and other mouth covering items could prevent the visible puffs of breath coming out of your mouth. LASTLY, add Night Vision Goggles!

1st person only is the way to go. way more immersive.

Easy to counter by having a green glow on the face of the user, or green lighting on outgoing end like older models.

LOL, similar experiences here. I would see somebody and try to be friendly from a safe location. Everytime, the guy would approach closer, and closer. I would warn him, and tell him he's making a bad decision, but he would keep moving closer and closer to the sound of my voice. Finally when he's too close, I would tell my bro to shoot him in the back. There ARE friendly Day Z players, but they are very few and far between.

Most of the time, I play Day Z with my brother. It can be a rather lonely (and unforgiving) adventure without a friend. Last night at about 1:30 AM CST (night in game too) on a Central server hosted by MPGS, we joined a low population server of about 5 people including us. We went to Elecktro to meet up, since it was between us. As soon as we enter the firestation, someone from outside yells at us to disarm and step out. I'm assuming he was wall glitching (using 3rd person), because he stated exactly where we were.. which wasn't possible without us seeing him (or them) as well. We couldn't calm him down, so we just hopped servers to another low pop (4 including us). We were upstairs in the firestation, and as soon as my bro goes down stairs, he gets shot and killed. Wow. I didn't want to deal with that, so I went to a server where there was only one other guy. As soon as I go downstairs, I'm shot and killed. I couldn't believe it. This has happened alot, actually. I only play on MPGS central servers, and when it's low pop.. I run into one (or so) other person on the server, and it always ends up with one of us dying. Unless I'm the only one in a 1/40 server, I always have my weapon out when looting.

Of course people are gonna write horrendous things on paper. Duh! I wish they would implement drawing on paper, so we can see everyone's artistic abilities. Hint: there will be a lot of the D. Either way, can't be worse than the psychotic social experiments that people conduct in Day Z.

Night time wouldn't be so bad if the lighting from light sources were realistic. Anyone else annoyed by the phony night sky? Get the stars right!

Serves you right for server hopping. You should of either made a run from the guys originally or followed their instructions Server hopping with my flashlight and jeans. Serves me right that I get gunned down by a fully equiped player looting a firestation.

Until they optimize the game, 1st person vision is awkward and sometimes nauseating. It's not cheating if everyone can easily do it.

Every time I see Bohemia Interactive when loading Day Z, I'm reminded that this game will never be finished...

This man speaks words of wisdom. I recognize this route, because I use it to hunt players.

Countless times this happens to me: I mostly loot with a comrade. For some odd reason, I'm always the first or only target. When someone is spotted closing in on me, I take cover and try to de-escalate the situation. "You don't want to do this man." "Just keep walking" They'll either not respond or ask questions like "how do I know you won't kill me?" I'd always respond: "If I wanted you dead, I'd have done it, or would kill you now." Either way, they would keep closing in until I'm forced to kill them, or have my comrade kill them. Stupid KOS players.

While looting, I see a man standing in the same room holding a wrench. I reacted with a 180 degree turn followed by a burst from my M4. I then see "friendly" in the chat box. I hope he got a headset for Christmas.
