I think I found the rarest item in the game so far

I'm sorry, did I read the words "press vest" and "rare"? Yes, I blend in surprisingly well in urban areas lol.

Food in DayZ Too Easy To Get

I've actually just survived being sick. I accidently clicked to eat a rotten kiwi while taking fire and zombie hate after dropping my axe. Was a hectic moment, don't ask. I somehow picked up the kiwi. Anywho, I had no cure of any kind, I just kept drinking water, and eating tuna while crouched in a copse of trees. When not eating due to stuffed, I sat down with f3. When I moved, I lost all color and went through all the stages of dizzy, faint, etc. finally, after a couple in game hours, I broke it, and am now sill going strong. Sadly, my healthy status has yet to return, but it'll come eventually.

Food in DayZ Too Easy To Get

Finding it's not the hard part. It's managing your inventory with how much you need vs space for how much other goodies you want. Head to an airfield, see how long you can keep other people, who are there starving just to camp gear, from taking it from you ;)

how much of a coward was this

Part of the realism this game provides, is that the are always cowards. Someone will always run and escape certain death somehow. Whether you crawl under the dead, and hold your breath, cower behind a tree and cry, or slip away through the trees, zig zagging and praying a stray round doesent take you. In fact, in a heavy survival situation, you should always flee, and save your rations, ammo, etc. only combating someone when you have the upper hand, i.e element of surprise. Logging before a combat scenario arises is cowardly, but not completely despicable. You didn't engage, neither did he, therefore it was not a combat log. Would have been better had you slipped past his field of view, and either put him don, or scurried away. Would of made a better heart pounding moment.

Please keep this game as hardcore as you can!!!

No to your hate of tpv, unless you come up with a way to see our chars in the world without it giving a tactical advantage. Some of us use it for immersion, not for combat.

What happened to 10 -- 15buck$ alpha pricing?

Let's see shall we. Completely new gaming experience for me, as I've never played the mods, and hardly watched in on twitch. Check. Still log on every day for upwards of eight hours after work, check. Over 100 hours played so far, check. Amazing graphics which I run at a steady 40fps, providing vibrant and beautiful gameplay, till I get shot, check. Heavy survival mechanics to keep me from getting bored, check. All for Thirty dollars, when the new releases of late 2013 couldn't provide me with any of the above, let alone at a higher cost for less entertainment? Check. I'm happy

How to OPEN A CAN with BARE HANDS

My question is why don't we have leatherman tools? Or the ability to simply open a kitchen drawer :p

are people trying to make the SA to friendly?

I'm actually taking beans from you for this simple fact: It's all religions junior. Now then, could care less if you all kill each other till oblivion, new spawns should be given a chance from your hyperactive coast killing asses.
  13. That a Magnum in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me? Ah, the things we give up for the blue...... Edit: It spawned there, it wase'nt mine :P

Changed my mind, wearing the blue :p
  17. Outside of what i saw of the mod on Twitch, i knew nothing of the game. When i saw it on steam, i knew a new gaming experience for myself had arrived. i have yet to be disappointed in this game, some 70 hours later. Things you should know first. Give the game a second chance with your friend. pick a low populated server, one with civil or pve in the description is best, as most players there are focused on loot, and not you. once you both spawn, forget about meeting each other for now, find a damned well. drink till you get the full message. what good is finding each other if your both starving and dehydrated because you didnt take the time to prepare. hit a few buildings, find a few cans of food if able. Tuna, rice, cereal, powdered milk, and fresh fruit are ideal, due to them not needing a can opener. head north to the next town asap. the wind always blows to the east, so look to the sky, see which way the clouds are blowing. stay in the tree lines off to the side of the road, as this is good practice for populated servers. once you both have gone north by about two towns, then work your way to each other. pick up any form of axe that you come across, as well as a mosin rifle, canteen, waterbottles, backpack, storagespace clothing, etc. dont bother with zombies unless you have an axe. a baseball bat to the head works well, however its best to just avoid them if you cannot properly defend yourself. when you two finally do meet, you will both be prepared, and better off then sharing a busted open can of beans to get you to the next town.if you do spot another player, stay out of sight. just good to practice this when able. this game is very enjoyable for new players, you just need to take the same precautions you would in real life. health first, friends second. avoid people, yadda yadda.

Northwest of Lopatino. Nice little looting area with a school, garage bays, etc. no well sadly.
  19. Just found myself stuck inside a building room/wall that normally does not allow entry. Now seeing the rise of church related glitch posts, I Googled my solution. Found it in a snappy fashion as well. Get close to the wall as possible, log out. Find a high ping server, minimum 300, and log in. For some unknown reason, it port's you out. I held down the forward key the moment i selected the server just in case. Worked well enough for me. Thank the folks who discovered this idea if you come across their post in need.

Why i can´t use Scopes as binoculars?

Grew up hunting, and asked the old man the same thing. Something about over handling scopes can throw off their ranging, etc. Didn't pay attention, was 30 below.

    [suggestion] Weapon maintenance

Long as a strange man in a funny hat isn't standing nose to nose with me asking if he said eyeballs, I'm fine with it. Would like to see assembly and oiling of parts tho. Give realism a kick.

    20 Plus Million Dollars Later...

Buying the game entitles you to nothing. Say it with me, nothing. You paid for a copy of an in progress game, your able to play, that's the end of it. They are no where morally responsible to have any communication with the player base.
