My current character spawned there. Threw me off not hearing the ocean immediately lol

I was just wondering with the new update pertaining to body respawns, can anyone confirm whether or not we can pick up our old loot? You know, you die then respawn, can we venture back to our old body and pick up our stuff now with the new update? Just curious.

Killed my first player today :D Some bandit pinned me down in a barracks in Zeleno. Figured out where he was, gunned in out of there and snuck into the building he was in. He must have not seen me run out cause I walked right up to him practially and shot him a numerous amount of times. Unfortunatly, I ruined the majority of his loot in doing so :(

I really want to find one, if only to have a duel with another player.

Always be cautious. Check out windows as you pass. I spotted some other players approaching while i was in one building. That allowed me to make my steathly getaway.... which ended in them killing me. But hey, at least I saw it coming.

Awesome! Hope the Devs had a good holiday. I wonder if the despawn fix will only encourage KoS now...? Hrmmm.

Sidecar motorcycle would be pretty cool. Would be neat if it doubled as stoage space.

Someone mentioned this on the first page, but I also found one in a car.

From a lot of videos and things I've read, it seems most players seek the mosin over the M4. I understand it's more accurate and probably has better range. I'm also assuming it does more damage...? But, I'm curious does everyone prefer mosin over the M4?

Don't know if this has been suggested, but you could try and find a smaller server. I decided to play on one to learn the ropes. There hasn't been more then 12 or so people on at one time and it usually averages around 8 or so. Only time I bump into players is around military bases, which is to be expected.

I read somewhere, might have been on this forum, that fires aren't implemented yet. I didn't even think cold had been implemented yet.

I think I've found three LRScopes with my current character. Have a pristine one equiped to my mosin atm :D

In my experience, if you are able to get the drop on another player, as in sneak up on em and hide within earshot, then make your presence known, they may just log out. This has happened to me maybe a quarter of the time when I bump into other players.

I've had a similar issue. Couple days ago I tried logging in and out of a couple servers I did it maybe 4-5 times and the last time, character got wiped and semt back to coast. Think the next time I played I tried something similar and maybe on the second or third serever it got wiped again. Don't know if it just didn't like me going in and out of servers or like Karmaterror said, maybve some servers bump you back to the coast. (shrugs)

At night. Village near spawn. Had a near deadly run in with a Zombie. Saw a dude runnin around with a flashlight. Walk up to him... He switches to fists and knocks me unconcious with one punch. ...Then I woke up on the beach...

I have been carrying fire wood for SO long now. I don't know why, I wish I knew this earliert :(

Hey everyone! I'm new here and new to Dayz for that matter. Picked up the standalone a few days ago and I think I've got the basics down. Just wanted to introduce myself. Also, as my first serious adventure, I'm trekking all the way from the southern coast (Balota-ish) to Devil's Castle. I've got my trusty-thus-far water container, plenty of food, and an M4 with plenty of ammo. Was curious if anyone new of some cool high-loot areas along the way. That's all.

Sounds about right. I play Neutral Goodish. I'm always friendly unless the people I bump into prove to be otherwise.

thanks everyone! holylance yeah I've been zig zaggin my way up hitting towns for any supplies/ water I may want and I was planning on hitting that airbase you mentioned. Also, was wondering what you mean by "not safe" is it a popular player spot or is it highly populated with zombies? For anyone who may be wondering, I just reached Pustoshka, so I'm about halfway there :D
