For those who finds pointless to review alphas, it's being explained. I also believe early access versions should be reviewed by means of current state compared to developement time and possiblity of keeping promises.

Servers with connection issues to central hive

As far as I understand (I might be wrong tho) the broken or wrongly set connections with hosters cause overwriting of existing characters. When server can't reach the main hive character it just creates a new one and overwrites the old one. It was also happening before, it's just all the time now due to patch. So my question is; is it possible to warn player when logging in, that the server is incapable of accessing the main hive and the old character will be overwritten if proceed. So player can just "accept" or "cancel". I understand that wipes will be every now and then but at least this way we can reduce random wipes. Is it possible? -

Hey Rocket, got a quick question: I didn't update the game yet thus never logged in after the patch. For those who didn't update yet, is it safe to not login till it's all fixed or are we just screwed anyway? -
Terrible terrible design choice. Instead; - Add an option to spawn in the same random town with your friend. - Distribute the good loot all around the map randomly. - Make zombies faster than player, not by increasing their speed, but by slowing down player when tired. - Zombies don't hit with their hands, they tackle down and bite humans to infect more. That should be the way to go for dayz zombies. (never gonna happen since dayz is not a zombie game, srsly)

When a person dies, 100 second timer kicks in. At 100 seconds left, there is %50 chance of getting revived from dead to unconcious situation, along with gaining just a tiny amount of health enough to keep you alive for a little time. Every two seconds decreses the chance by %0,5. Your bleeding etc. won't stop. Using defiblator has a 30 second recharge cooldown so you can try it 3 times max each with a decreasing chance. Defibbing someone also has an animation like forcefeeding so user should stay constant for 5 seconds. Defib also makes huge charge sound. - Will help dying from stairs or bugged falls, your friend can immedietly help you. - Can't do it during firefight because standing still for some time unprotected and charge sound that gives up your position. Also revived person will be unconcious for a long time and still losing blood. So no instant revive. - Won't turn the game into battlefield because that's pretty much how defibs work. (sorry fanboys)

It's the fourth char wipe I experienced today. Is this something wrong again? Should I stop playing for couple days till it gets fixed?

Should we be able to carry two rifles?

The existing system is almost perfect except; - The second rifle you hold in your hand sometimes get deleted when you log-in. Should be fixed. - You can easly lose your second rifle due to netcode issues and disappearing items when you drop. Or the server might get a restart when it's on the ground. These should be fixed. - It should be possible to put rifles into backpack vertically while it covers a huge inventory space. -
I was ok with bugs killing me for no reason, teleporting me into the ocean or developement fields. I was even ok with char wipes. Until I read the next update content. Adding collectable berries, paintable mosins, more shoe colors instead of fixing huge issues... That's nowhere related to alpha. That's like spitting on players face.

I noted all the bugs I experienced in the first week, then I saw all of then were already posted on bug-tracker.

got 2 more wipes today. -not server hopping, just logged back in after server restarts -joined with my friend, he's fine. I joined after him. -ping is fine -full gear on both wipes -playing on gameservers.com servers, so they're legit That's it. I'm not playing anymore till this is fixed. I spend the whole day to get geared and like a slap in the face, this is what happens. good luck with your pink mosins.

How to fix KoS and banditry with this great system

Thank you for explaining how KoS and Banditiry is different. A lot people here is simply too ignorant to realise non-kos players have nothing against banditry. They usually be like "YOU WANT FRIENDSHIP AND PVE ONLY THEN RIGHT? FUCK YOU THIS IS DAYZ"... geez at last there's someone logical... thank you for that again. Now back to the topic, I totally agree increasing zombie threat is the way to go. Zombie hordes rampaging when they hear a gunshot, that would be really cool. But I'm not sure devs can achieve this since they already expressed how extremely hard (lol) to implement zombie AI and I don't expect them to overcome this. So we are left with sanity system. I don't believe sanity system combined with drugs could punish bandits. Considering only killers would carry drugs to reduce the effects of insanity, bandits now should kill other bandits more then innocents to survive. Why would this be bad, bandits go for pvp already. btw I just read the rare ammo idea above and that's also better. But then again we will see kids crying like "YOU'RE RESTRICTING ME FROM KILLING OTHERS, ITS A CHOICE THIS IS DAYZ I CAN DO WHATEVER I WANT!!!" -

As I discussed above, this game is clearly NOT alpha. Real alpha versions used to be unplayable and only for demonstrating the main idea of the game. You don't put 1 million testers in alpha. You only hire testers as a full time job and pay them to test every aspect of the game and this mostly happens on beta stage, not on alpha. (it's ok to make open-betas for free) Also you don't PAY for alpha versions. The only reason they label it "Alpha" and open to sale is because it's been 2 years and there's no finished product yet. So they release whatever they have on a playable level and name it alpha to avoid bug complaints and missing promised content. So, we have every right to EXPECT more from a paid product. No. This post prooves YOU have no idea what alpha is instead. Read above.

O'RLY? dumbass Although I agree it's much more playable then "old" alphas, 2 years of developement time is still too much for preparing this alpha (which is based on an existing game and engine) So imagine if they didn't have chernarus map and all the other stuff comes from arma, how long would it take for alpha? 5 years? I feel like they even intend to slow down developement pace since they don't need to finish the product in near future and there are fanboys around who thinks they are being mature and wise by defending devs. In fact, they're just making everything easier for Bohemia to just lie. If we don't push to get what we were promised, why would Bohemia care? I'll be laughing my ass off when there'll be kids around posting "it's alpha" on these forums.....at the end of 2015.

Game is out there for one month, first large update incoming... Testers expect at least one of these below to be fixed to some degree: -rubber banding -building glitches -performance issues -weapon and view inaccuracies -or char wipes instead we have paintable mosins.... "it's alpha" is the shittiest excuse to keep complex issues unsolved and still blocking players from critisizing how lazy dev team is.

I'm really concerned about how developers choose to add more items instead of solving huge issues such as character wipes, animation, building and netcode problems. You can always add more items and other content, what we need is a playable game for now. -

Title says it all. Devs should give some kind of code or something to streamers to make them access to press vest. The PRESS text on the vest should be erased when it's ruined so players won't be able to loot and use it as intented when streamer is dead. How's that sound?

I don't know why people freak out about the idea. Press vest is useless compared to other vests, on that sense streamers would be disadvantaged even. What the fuck is with equality like it's a godmode item or something? I don't even pickup those vests. I also agree with press hunters, but that happens anyway so I don't think vest really matters. -
