OK but this is a AAA title after selling over 1 million copies in 1 month. What the OP is trying to get across is the way the Devs are handling information is really bad.. Go find Rockets last stream video. He didn't even know paper and pens didn't work.. I believe and hope that things will get better but right now it is chaos and needs to be fixed..

This has probably been covered ALOT but I am going to put my 2 cents in also.. Hot Spawning, Ghosting, Combat Logging. WTF Bohemia/Dean.. First off, can someone please explain to me why this wasn't fixed before they even released this game and can it be fixed now that the game has released? I have heard some rumor's that this cannot be fixed with the type of network architecture they have.. If that's the case then I will have to ask for a refund and I think alot of people will do the same because these are game breaking bugs. Combat Logging isn't as bad as the other 2 but it still suck's when you know that person is stuck with no way out and you wait and wait and then finally run in to find out that the person already logged out or you miss that first shot from 600 meters out and watch the character go "POOF" and disappear before your mosin ejects the round.. Hot Spawning A.K.A. Server Hopping is a big one.. Now the server i play on restarts every hour. After almost every restart I get at least 1 kill because someone Hot Spawns into NEAF. It has actually got to the point on my server that Hot Spawner's are spawning behind me on sniper hill and looking for me before they go into the airfield, which has got me to change my position often to avoid being ghosted and killed from behind by an axe. It is almost impossible to avoid being ghosted by a good player because of all the wonky sound bugs. I just don't get what Dean or Bohemia was thinking when they released this or were they thinking about this at all. It make's me laugh now that i think back to all those video's Dean was saying if i am going to release this game then I want to make sure it's done right. This problem just seems to basic, like something any MMO would take care of long before an Alpha Stage.. I actually did a Google search for these bugs and Holy Sh@@ did i find TONS of stuff about it and it all points to these problems not being fixed correctly.. I am not a game designer but I can see these bug's will be this game downfall or Private Hives will be the only place to play. Edit: For everyone that is going to say or already has said "This is Alpha". I understand this is Alpha but that doesn't mean Dean shouldn't have learned from previously problems in the mod. This is a problem that shouldn't have been a problem in the first place. I also understand that this is a big issue and has been talked about by who knows how many other people, but if you read the first few sentences, i specifically asked if anyone could confirm the rumors about these problems not being able to be truly fixed and if you trolls out there actually read this then you would have understood I am talking about how these problems should have been addressed before the release considering they were BIG problems in the Dayz Mod.. Edit: Someone actually decided not to troll and gave me this info.. I don't know where he found this but I wish I would have seen it a long time ago.. Game Exploits* Combat logging protection not workingCurrently many of our features such as queued loading, combat logging timeout, etc... have been disabled as there is the possibility that they will cause additional strain on the central server. Once we know that we can handle the load we will begin implementing these. I like First person View for FPS games but for Dayz I think 3rd person view is better..When i get into a gunfight i always use First Person View but for running around or just looking around in general i like 3rd person. What I do hate is when players that play only on the Hardcore Servers say they are better players because they only use First Person View. I understand it may be a bit harder but that doesn't make you a better player than me because I like 3rd person in this game.. -
Now this is why alot of people can't find stuff.. Server Hopping is an exploit that shouldn't be used.. This is why I camp NEAF and kill every Server Hopper that spawns in..

I agree with the OP.. This entire setup is complete chaos. Example: I recently started a post about Combat Logging, Ghosting and Server Hopping. It took 2 days and 3 pages of troll comments before someone was nice enough to give me some info that Rocket said about it. I don't know where the info came from and evidently 1000's of other people have never seen the info because there are TONS of post's complaining about the same thing. I even had a Forum Team Member troll me and tell me I didn't know what I was talking about and that he didn't know whether to close my post or merge it with the thousand other post's about it instead of giving the info that some random other guy gave me..

Well the problem with this is the range of the Radio's.. I was told that the range is 1000m. I have only tested it to about 300m, so unless you have radio stations all over the map then this would be a problem.

They have a fix for combat logging but they won't turn it on until they are sure the server's can handle it.. I recently started a thread about Combat Logging, Ghosting, and Server Hopping where someone gave me the info about what Rocket said about the combat logging.. -
Yeah there are a few bugs like that.. I have found people useing the wall exploit in NEAF where they can hide inside the building and shoot anyone around the building or inside of it.. I actually figured out how to do it yesterday trying to kill a guy inside the wall but he was deeper in the wall and it wouldn't let my bullets reach him.

Lol.. Someone gave me that information about the combat logging precautions being turned off ATM in Dayz SA after I made this post. Obviously you don't know what your talking about and your just another Fanboy that screams "It's Alpha".. -

Yes they did add timers in, but for a while there wasn't anything to prevent combat logging.. But the information that i edit in says they have the timer's and precautions for combat logging, they just haven't turned it on yet.. -
Most of the map runs pretty smooth.. The new town up north that me and some of my buddies call the New Berenzino, that town runs really bad. Worse than Elektro on the mod.

Thank you for posting this.. I was looking for something like this to explain why these bugs haven't been fixed. So they have been fixed just not implemented.. Well that's good to know. Thank you.. I wish I would have found this message before I made this post.. Would have saved alot of grief. -

Yeah i understand the game is being tested.. None of what I said had anything to do with me dieing.. Dieing is part of Dayz and i explain that to any new player I meet. How are none of these bugs not critical at this point? How can the game be properly tested with these bugs going on? Comabt logging to me isn't really that much of a problem, it is the server hopping that really annoy's me. Server Hopper's are hopping to as many server's as they can and takeing whatever they can before anyone gets a chance to test anything out. If I understand correctly wouldn't alot of people switching back and forth across many servers 100's of times a day put more strain on the servers? -

I see that your a Forum Team Member but what specifically in my post say's that I don't know this is Alpha??? I never said anything about the game not running good or unplayable. What I said was that the Devs made the same mistake twice and since this post is covered SOOOOO much then it's obviously making alot of people mad.. I asked 2 specific questions at the beginning of my post and then i went on talking about my experiences with these bugs. This is feedback but just because It's Alpha doesn't mean that the Devs didn't make the same mistake twice in almost the same game and regardless of how many posts people have made about these really bad game breaking bugs, they have yet to be fixed. I am not saying that these bugs will never get fixed, i am saying these bugs are to big to not have been fixed before Alpha testing.. How can Dayz be properly tested and how can players give proper feedback on the game when these type of bugs exist? -

I wasn't saying the game is complete. I am saying that combat logging was a big issue in the Mod, so why wasn't this bug fixed before the Alpha was released, instead of making the same mistake twice. Dayz is released. It is not complete but it has been released to anyone who buys it... And by the way, almost everyone eats some of the batter off the mixxing spoon before they cook it.
