My general rule of thumb states that I shall not shoot a player unless I feel the need to. ie, if a player shoots at me, I will retaliate. If I see somebody shoot a new spawn, I will kill them. So on, so forth. Usually I rush the Caps Lock key as soon as I see anybody, stating that I am friendly, but if I'm armed; I'll make sure to tell you so. I'll give orders such as "I have a gun. I need you to drop your weapon and walk away. Do not turn around". If the player turns around then of course I will shoot him...

Be mindful that not everybody who kills another player is a bandit. Take - for example - FrankieOnPcIn1080p. He is a shining example of how I wish to play the game. He kills people that either A)Pose a threat to him, or B)Pose a threat to newer players (or Bambi's, but I didn't want to say Bambi incase Groover banned me ^.^) He doesn't kill in cold blood, and I think that's what you guys perceive everybody to do. Just because somebody shot you, doesn't mean they didn't have a reason...

lol why? It's just a term used to describe a new, defenseless player.

No, I think a better option would be to leave your player in the game for an extra 10 (or so) seconds after pressing the 'Exit' button. This way, If they are combat logging; the other party in the fight will have a chance to kill him and steal his loot. But yes, I do think something needs to be done about combat logging too. It's especially annoying when people leave the server whilst you're looting their body. Not combat logging; but the re-spawn system needs fixing too.

Hey guys! My IGN is ChristmasLunch and I'm very new to this whole DayZ thing. I never played the mod, and only finished downloading the game about 12 hours ago. My initial reactions were bitter/sweet, however; a few hours into playing (and after meeting various *kind, friendly* players), my whole experience vamped up and I found myself immersed in this world. I've randomly lost inventories already, but I guess that's to be expected, so I can't complain! My friends will be getting the game soon, and I will be making Youtube videos with them, making funny montages, or 'lol-tages'. I've already noticed a few bugs/glitches in the game, and will be posting them to the bug tracker at my earliest convenience, and it's nice to know that we have an active dev team/staff team monitoring bugs and such. I've come from various Minecraft (*sigh*, I know ;_; it's bad in comparison to this) communities, so I'm already familiar with a few forum softwares, and in fact - I would most often spend more time on the forums than on the game, so you could say that I'm a forum addict ^.^ For my age, I would consider myself a 'Grammar Nazi' (Not familiar with these board rules. Is that allowed? Can I say that?), and my age - for all of those who have already stuck around this long - is fourteen; fifteen in February. So anyway - I think I'll fit in nicely here!

Sorry, could have worded this better. By lost inventories I mean having items in my inventory when I log out, and not having any when I log back in.
