What's sad and pathetic is you categorising me in the same boat as terrorists and rapists. I was letting the guy go - I didnt know my mate was going to chop him. Besides, if the guy had some decent stuff and actually communicated with us, we probably would have let him tag along with us. That same night - we gathered up 5 or 6 newspawns and took them to Elektro and looted with them.

Hey, I didn't kill the guy... I was letting him go - it was my friend who killed him. I didn't know he was going to do it - if you listen to the start of the video, he was about to leave the room but he came back when I told him I found somebody. I hate spawn killers as much as the next man...

To create a building in the game, it's not as simple as just making it on a 3D modelling program and plonking it into the world. Firstly, you have to create textures specifically for that building, and it's really hard to texture stuff from past experience, as in the art side of things. Secondly, you have to create coliders for the zombies. Currently it seems thats not working, but eventually they will be done properly so that zombies can path find around the buildings and don't just walk into the wall closest to you as apposed to walking through the door, and Thirdly, you have to create loot spawns in the buildings and on the items inside the buildings. So you're saying you want NO TWO buildings the same? Think realistically here... I think you're asking too much. Besides; we don't want them spending ages on buildings when they could be working on Vehicles :D

Not knowing where you are is all apart of the fun, man! I never played the mod either, but believe me; Watch FRANKIEonPCin1080p's DayZ series from the start, and you will get to know the map and the mechanics of DayZ very quickly, whilst being entertained. That's what I did, and now I know the map comfortably well :3

Don't loot anything on the server where you're on the coast. Log out and find a new server, it's just a de-sync between you, the hive, and that server. As soon as you loot something it will reset your old character. Just find a new server.

So I've seen a lot of Reddit stuff about the new update. Pictures and videos of Shotguns and spray-painted Mosins... I can't seem to download it, though. I've opted into experimental builds for DayZ on steam yet nothing is updating. What am I doing wrong?

I think you miss-understood me :3 I've been browsing the DayZ Reddit page and I've seen pictures and videos of content from the experimental update, but was wondering why I couldn't download it myself :3 Sorry for the confusion (:

Being a Steam noob, I have no idea how to 'enable experimental builds'. I tried going into Steam > Settings > Account > Beta participation Is this how you do it? Thanks.

Considering it's posted in the DayZ Mod forum and the reasons you literally just posted, I think it's safe to say he was talking about the mod.
