First of, nice updates and fixes!! Does this mean that there now is loot in the dark woodlog cabins and the high rise 1st floor type buildings? Have you fixed the doorways? In some buildings you get stuck in the door opening while standing, but when you crouch you can get through the door. Animation/hotbar, when I take an item in hands it goes on the hotbar or when I put stuff from my backpack onto my hotbar and I drink or eat a one time use item the item ghost stays on the hotbar and have to manually remove it from the hotbar. Oh and please implement a "consume all" option.

@TopicStarter Yup, I've noticed that as well. question is "are they going to put in filters for the gasmasks?" (like in Metro 2033) and "are there going to be areas where you need them?" :)

I like the M4 for close range, but I hate the recoil on it...if we can have so many modules on the M4 why not give us a front grip/stubby grip for more stability and have a fire selector to shoot of one round at a time. I mean it's nice to tap the mouse button and hope it shoots of one round, but like in RL the M4 has a fire selector..so lets also include that PLZ. but the discussion about Mosin vs. M4 is not really to be made, since it's an Alpha and 2nd it's like compairing apples with pears. Sure you can use the Mosin for close range if you lose the scope. They did it in WW2 so you could do it in here as well, but I rather have a Mauser K98, M1 Garand or M24 instead ;)

Make it just like in the MOD as a server option, not hard coded removal. If you don't like 3rd person, then play on a server that doesn't have it. I really like 3rd person, because I don't want to go firstperson all the time and like to check my surrounding when I walk. I can't see how 3rd person is unfair if everyone has it. why didn't the TS(topicstarter) include a poll? ;)

I have to agree, it also depends on how you died. 1on1 fight=no problem, sniper out of nowhere=grrr, fall of roof=doh! :P

Not to make this into a flame war, but maybe: 1. not to get attached to your char and stuff, if you die you can have your gear back within the hour if you know where to look 2. read this http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/158101-how-to-not-be-killed-on-sight/ at a certain period in the game me and my friend are just hunting for all pristine clothes and items, all have the same clothes so we look the same and act as a fearful squad...just for LOLs (no KoS)

ATM you don't have any skillpoints or whatever, if you would then they should be simple. If you make it to much like an MMO with skill tree's and lvls up to 125 or whatever then you character is not equal to an other and if you character dies you feel really bad. or you would need to have tier lvl zombies that match your lvl...nah to complicated. Now it's simple you die, you recollect your stuff, join your mates and go on with your business. Your skills are the skills you give your char. Maybe in the future with what clothes, shoes you wear. Wanna be a heavy packer or a light runner/scout etc. You should leave it open, but what if you want to change your "class" now you get other stuff and your good to go. I like it, it's simple and you can do whatever you want or want to be. "Sandbox" remember?

"not common on that side of the world"? you can buy them at any surplus store and we have military bases, tent camps, airbases, etc. and I don't believe the Russian army doesn't have them for their troops. then again what are US weapons doing in Russia, then US ration boxes can also end up there as well, be it a US supply drop or aid. You can also make them as supply drops scattered around the woods...

As we have yellow hardend cases, med packs, ammo boxes, then why not have Ration/MRE boxes?! Wich hold, canned food, can of soda, a candy bar, biscuits and other stuff like matches,liquid heaters, powdered milk etc.. And as with the other boxes it's a 6 slot box wich takes 4 slots in your backpack.

What if you worked at Google as a IT specialist ;) Then what good would you be at? Apart from when the power would come back on. :P We all start blank, but we become a class by picking our kit or by what we collect, as the fact is you can't collect everything. So you would have a medic in your group, an ammo guy a food&water guy, an urban combat guy, sniper etc.

Oh yeah, I agree. We were a group of three just browsing the area and looting, us three were in a big barn with highrise. One of us went outside and got shot at. came right back in. The other guy didnt know we were three (I think or else he would have run away). All three of us were fully packed, locked and loaded, two M4's and one sniper. We locked down the barn from the inside and the guy made a mistake by trying to get in the barn, because we had a spot on him running around the barn and the moment he stuck his head around the corner...there was only one shot, one body hit the ground and us three popped a can and celebrated. Or me and a friend on top of a hospital having a 'safe; snack and all of a sudden a guy comes climbing up the ladder and started punching me, it didn't take long for him to drop to the ground with an axe in his back by my friend wich he didnt see (I think)

It's a box radio receiver/transmitter behind a fallen russian statue in the forest going from balota airport to the military base, near a valley with a little stream. I didn't try to pick it up because I thought it was decorative. It didn't look like it could be picked up.

If you get stuck I would say OK, but it's a bit weird when you just surived and you kill yourself?!
