    Pending Update: Build 1.7.2.6

A server side reset is needed. We need everybody back to square one, start again - sure hackers will probably hack in more and more items but server admins seem to be stepping up their game and banning much more quickly. Also, in relation to that point, there must surely be a way to disable the spawning of specific weapons that are not in-mod. There isn't a fool-proof way to attack the hackers until the standalone but hacking is so rife now that all the people moaning that they don't want a reset probably have hacked gear. I'm not saying all the people, but if you have a character that is over 30 days old and you have not once encountered a hacker then you are being dishonest. Wipe the servers, it can only do good. Standalone is coming, you shouldn't get attached to your items, inb4 QQ.

    Speed up the boat(s)

Title says it all really. The boats are nigh on useless because they are so slow. What makes it worse is that they slow down immensely when you try to change direction. Please, please, please make them a little faster.
  3. Just remove the barbed wire and tank traps completely. I'm really quite astonished that this hasn't been done sooner. The graphical bugs caused by the military corpses seem to have been fixed for me; however barbed wire sticking through walls still causes massive artifacts. Just remove it already, please.
  4. MSI Afterburner - beats FRAPS and Dxtory hands-down. Edit with Sony Vegas Pro 11

    Nerf bandits!

    No, just no.

    Pending Update: Build 1.7.2.5

Would it not be easier to remove barbed wire and tank traps completely? They serve no purpose in the game as it stands now; other than to block off loot spawns for server hoppers. Just remove them, please. Edit: Also, the duping of items needs fixing too, urgently.
  7. May I be the first to say that the new loading screen is much, much, much, much better.
  8. I'm running 95417 and 1.7.2.4 - re-installed both to make sure. Happens with every server, including ones that run the same version.
  9. Only BHI could release a beta patch and not have their native anti-cheat support it <_<
  10. Just a quick idea I just had. It would be great if there were some sort of status display on the loading screen, so you know if you are not going to get into the server. The amount of times I've left my game at the 'Loading..' screen for 30 minutes or more and still not got into the game. Some sort of status report, or a literal view of the communication with the server so we know if we are waiting to get in, or waiting for no reason.

    Kill Log? Why not?

Ahhhhhh yes, and then the hacks stop and the admin abuse really begins. This is a bad idea.

    ...killed by >player name<

But you wouldn't know in real life who killed you. If I set up a little camp in some trees and snipe you, and then my name shows up anyway, what's the point? I think the opposite of this should happen, 'Player was killed' messages should be removed all together.
  13. This is probably a simple fix that could be made. Firstly, I think the server message detracts from the uncertainty of killing someone. If you shot somebody, you wouldn't wait for a message, you would have to keep your gun on them until you know that you're in the clear to loot them. This would also add to situations when you hear a gunshot, but don't know your friend has been killed. Secondly, the murder count in the debug monitor. I don't see a purpose for it, of course the murders of somebody should be tracked so the "heartbeat" system can still work, but I don't see reason for it being in the debug monitor - if anything it gets used as a scoreboard to see how many people somebody can kill. Both aren't essential to the game and it would probably be a slight improvement if they were removed. I would probably go further as to say that the debug monitor should be removed all together; the only important aspect of it is the blood count, and this could be transferred to just the blood icon. With it changing colour as you lose blood (Green to blood red, as it already is) and flashing when you're bleeding. The monitor isn't needed for anything, apart from the testing phase of new updates and even then only the devs need to use it.
  14. I'm fairly certain though that the devs could enable the debug monitor when they are testing new patches and then disable it when they release the new .pbo's. It's probably just a boolean like ShowDebug.False/True

    Hello! Noobie grief.

What was the point of this post? You started by saying the latest patch improved gameplay, and then ended with crying over bloodpacks. Try to be constructive. Also, nice spelling bro.

I had no idea where to put this.

Shouldn't this be in Suggestions or Troubleshooting?

I fell 4 metres and died

Get used to being extra-careful around the edges of roofs and ladders. The game doesn't have a physics engine; this leads to somewhat "buggy" characteristics.

    Pending Update: Build 1.7.2.4

I assume that when you exit the game by pressing "Abort", the client sends the server some sort of logout request. If you Alt-F4, the server doesn't receive this message, therefore, your character will probably stay logged in until the server realises it's getting no data from you.
  19. There is no mistaking that the only options when you're kitted out with everything is either hunt for a chopper that may not exist or hunt players, that are everywhere. EDIT: After reading a few replies, I have realised that something as drastic as the original idea of individual "factions" will not be implemented and may not need to be. A much simpler option would be to receive benefits when helping other players, when you heal another player you get more total blood. Simple? Thoughts?
  20. Yeah, as I re-read the post I realised how simple it sounded in my head, but how hard it would be to implement. I've changed the suggestion to just one of the features I suggested which is to benefit players who heal other players.
  21. Ok, so you're kitted out, have everything you need, what do you do next?
  22. Be constructive? But there is, once you have reached end-game numerous times there is just nothing to do. This doesn't change the basis of the game, it just adds a little more complexity.
  23. The only reason you would ever drop dead from anything other than a bullet or loss of blood is if you run into a variety of objects at a 'funny' angle. Sometimes going prone near objects like bushes or walls or ladders can cause broken bones and death in some cases. If you were shot you would hear the shot, even if it is a silenced weapon there is still a distinctive sound that you hear. This game engine is buggy, try not to walk into awkward spaces with a mish-mash of objects surrounding you. Also, avoid bushes at all costs xD

  25. Lol the massive ban-wave by BattleEye seems to have ruffled some feathers. The only thing slightly annoying about all this is everybody calling these people "hackers" Renting a decent bot-net doesn't make you a hacker, it makes you a rent-a-bomb faggot.
