    Unconcious Fix - Saline Revives

    Tried epi-pen and defibs on unconcious buddy and neither worked when both were pristine. Saline has never failed yet.
  2. Hello everyone! As of today, we have added care packages to the server. These are special air drops to aid the survivors in their plight against the undead and against themselves. There are four types of care packages ranging from simple survival supplies that can be found in markets, medical supplies similar to the hospital, industrial supplies as found at factories, and military supplies. They work the same as helo wrecks currently do. There are a number of them that randomly spawn throughout the map of differing types to loot for each server restart. The gear is spread out on the ground like a helo wreck - it won't be found inside the crates. Also, we have custom weapons spawning at our helo wrecks to include some more exotic weapons not normally found in game mixed with normal weapons to increase variety. As a side note we have around 80 vehicles to include the police car among others. Server info is in my signature. Enjoy!
  3. 70 Vehicles destroyed within 24 hours. Sounds like you need to worry about hackers. You should be regenerating destroyed vehicles for players anyways on restarts. You don't max vehicles because they get destroyed, you clean up the ones you have and lost. 10 choppers....WTF 0.o

  6. They used the bliss hive and when bliss came out with an update, they touted the fixes in a change log while calling it "ViCode". Totally laughable. They implemented TomWest's anticheat mission file fix and acted like they had their own custom anti-cheat. They went ahead and implemented AshFord3's dayz bug fixes and again touted ViCode. It's totally bad business. They are a shady company - reminds me of the folks working on the War Z. Pump out a product to ride the hype and don't give credit where it is due. So, yes. They do steal code and act like they did it. They took the hard work of map designers who released it open source for all arma users and then modify it and sell servers while retaining the code - not keeping it open source to Arma users in order to make a profit off the original artists work. On what planet do you live where this would be considered stand up behavior? You need to check yourself and your personal values here. Whether or not they can slime through way through the legal system is irrelevant to whether or not what they do is right. I encourage other players not to patronize Vilayer servers. Stop giving these jokers money.
  7. Vilayer won't release it because they are profiting off stolen / modified code. They continually take others work and with little to minor adaptation release it as their own for profit. Its shitty business practice and people should stop patronizing Vilayer servers.

Here is the idea to take advantage of all these new enterable buildings (perhaps a unique find in under-traveled towns): Random gun safes that spawn in a few houses at random per restart (like helo wrecks). Requires a few tools and perhaps 5 to 10 minutes to break into that makes a lot of noise. Will make people want to search all buildings, and when found, have the tools to break into Will force security to be set while working on it because of the time and noise. Possible various levels of safe quality: Crowbar work is moderately noise. Blowtorch is mostly quiet. Saw is very loud. Basic Safe: Mid Level Weapons - requires crowbar for 3 mins. Moderate Safe: Requires blowtorch to weaken for 2 mins, then crowbar for 3 mins. TOTAL TIME 5 mins Tough Safe: Requires buzz saw 3 for mins, 2 mins blowtorch for 2 mins, crowbar for 3 mins : TOTAL TIME 8 mins
  10. Dude, the torch softens the metal aid in prying, saws are used daily to cut metals and are very common for people opening a safe. Just an attempt to provide a more in depth mechanic and allow for more unique items associated with a use. Something more to do than the current routine. Google a bit to find out about how people work with metal. You might educate yourself and relieve yourself of being in a state of ignorance your entire life. Also, lots of people have acetylene torches and they are a common industrial tool. Why would you have helicopter rotors laying around. Your lack of logic is amazing.
  11. Stopped running version .71. Whenever I run it I can no longer connect to RCON and BEC fails to login. This is only when the DayZ AntiHax is running. Also, when I terminate the program, it still runs in the task manager and I cannot run RCON or BEC until I manually kill the process. Not sure what is up, but I can't use this until it is fixed. I have taken to run it on occasion to get the community bans added, but that is it. Any thoughts or ideas?

  13. I just updated to .7 and I run a bliss server. It gives me the error that it can't find setdamage.log and to ensure it is in my cfgdayz folder, but bliss doesn't use cfgdayz but instead battleye is under bliss. I looked in the dayz antihax config and found nowhere to config this setting and assume it is in a dll. How can I update where it is looking for the file to bliss/battleye instead?
  14. Reviving an old topic. I'm getting a few of these on my server. How can I tell when I look into the logs if it was something hinky going on, or just a false positive?
  15. I love how Vilayer just uses the latest bliss updates and acts like they are the ones doing these fixes and updates.
  16. I run a private hive and have been using your tool. I recently installed an anti-cheat fsm to my mission file which appears to have ejected me from my helo when I flew over the border. Subsequently, DayZ Anti-Hax banned me and loaded my GUID into the community banfile. How do I get this removed? Nevermind, i got myself off - missed a second remote exec hit in the log.

    Private hives with Sidechat

    Our server has side chat enabled. Admins are on most of the time and VOIP over side is not allowed. A good culture has grown that self regulates itself for side chat VON abuse and personal / repetitive narration. Filter for BTL or Born to Lose to find it. IP is 208.167.240.191 port 2302.

    Helicopter eating gas?

    You have to repair it or it will leak fuel. Our team has fully repaired it all the way and I still get a slight leak. Also, it takes a shitload to get the fuel up.

  22. What do you guys think of having a noob skin for brand new players such as a regular civilian clothes, and an experienced survivor skin for players who have played for a while? How it could work (open for adjustment): Brand new players with less than 10 hours totally logged in game (via the hive) spawn with a random civilian clothing skin - such as t-shirt and jeans, plaid shirt and jeans, no hat, etc. Players with more than 10 hours would spawn with the current survivor skin. This could also be adjusted to require more time, or less time. It could be triggered by some other factor that is hive trackable - such as having acquired at some point a military rifle, an alice pack or greater, looted a helo wreck (entered its spawn radius), entered northwest airfield, etc. The requirement could be derived from any number of qualifiers - maybe a 10 hour clock and having had to enter the northern third of the map. I like the idea of a new player losing the inexperienced skin if they commit a murder also. They can skip the new player skin and become a the normal experienced spawn skin if they show a propensity for doing what it takes to survive anyways. What mechanic does this accomplish: This would allow people to be fairly certain that a freshly spawned player is inexperienced and probably needs more help. They also have different expectations of the mod and are less likely to shoot you with a makarov to take your gear - they are often more interested in linking up as they have not formed bonds with a group yet. Experienced players would be more willing to "give them a pass" since they don't know as much about the game. Also, other survivors that are inexperienced could feel more comfortable making contact with each other. Experienced players often have a group they play with and therefor they are not interested in grouping with noobs or giving anybody a chance in order to receive help, because they don't need it. It is better to kill to grab some loot as you head north and protect yourself from the unknown. People can see the experienced survivor skin and assume they know the game mechanics, could be grouped up, probably heading north after a fresh spawn and are quite possibly a higher threat. This would provide a new mechanic for recruitment and training for more player driven end game content. Experienced groups can head south in search of inexperienced survivors to grow their community by taking a noob under their wing - offering protection and guidance. This would make experienced groups want to give new players a chance and probably give a better early experience for brand new players also. I think it would satisfy both needs for higher end content, while leaving hard core survival pvp in tact - and at the same time providing a meta game for all near the coast. Your forum responses: Post what you think about the idea with a yea or nay and your rationalization. If you like the idea - what do you think should trigger the change from a new player survivor to an experienced survivor? ... and give me your beans!
  23. I think there is a differentiation to be made between rewarding new skins for acheivements vs creating an in game mechanic to simply identify the very new players.

    When will the next patch launch?

    Probably Monday. The slated Wednesday launch slipped when the Gamespy / server browser became an issue.
