    Clearly you don't have the intelligence to comrephend much beyond "ME BUY DAY Z, ME TEST, ME NO COMPLAIN, ME MAKE FUN OF SILLY NOOBS FOR COMPLAIN, ME WIN DAY Z" You should just uninstall the forums until you get a brain. All of these measures they put in for "combat logging" are clearly affecting players negatively, don't sit there and throw up an "it's an alpha" response, just don't even bother replying.

They are game DEVELOPERS, they are being PAID through the consumers', IE you, me, everyone here, purchasing of the game (read: a test key for those too stupid to realize the game's been released for sale to the public). They should be held accountable for putting shit out that obviously didn't bother to test! Get with it! Do you really think that they actually tested this build, but apparently didn't play it for more than a 30 minute sitting to see that EVERYONE develops a memory leak? Are you all seriously that ignorant?

    The real joke is that you apparently think things shouldn't be actually double checked or internally tested worth a fucking damn before their pushed live. SOE anyone? You also seem to be not able to comprehend the fact that the internal Alpha and BOTH internal and external Beta tests are long gone. Are you enjoying the DayZ game you purchased and will never have to spend another penny on to have access to any and all of the game? Or are you really dumb enough to think the game hasn't been released to the public for purchase? Before you go and make yourself look like even more of a fail troll, http://store.steampowered.com/app/221100/ - looks to me like it's available to the public for purchasing and ownership; how about you? Why the fuck would you ever push something to live when it's broken? Why would anyone ever add broken features? Oh that's right, because they don't actually test these things themselves. Game will go so far with that kind of an approach. Keep spewing your ignorant replies though, "it's an alpha" really holds absolutely no weight.

    So they put in a log out system that treats everyone like they're combat logging no matter what they're doing, and now we can't loot corpses, because the players are logging off after they're dead, causing their corpse to disappear after 30 seconds like they logged out. Brilliant stuff guys, it's a good thing you all did some actual internal testing before shoveling this shit to the "stable" branch. What a joke. I'm sure it would have been heard to add a If Health < 1 then LogoutSequence = 0 To prevent corpses from disappearing after players disconnect...

Dean hasn't recruited anyone to PURCHASE the game, he RECRUITED people to TEST INTERNALLY when they had a beta test, you know the testing phase that happens before a game is.. wait for it, available for purchase. Which brings us to your next point, I don't know what you think you're doing, but you can't just warp around the map, spawn zombies, and set up situations to recreate, other than ones specifically caused by a player's interacting with the environment or server; what we all paid $30 for is DayZ. I don't know about whatever you seem to have going on in your head, but I won't be spending a penny more to have the "privilege" of playing DayZ whenever Bohemia decides to say it's "done", and then continues to update the game for months and or years after that very day. Which brings us to your last point, we all paid for the game. You can keep spewing your delusional testing BS all you want, but 1.3 million people have purchased DayZ and are playing it on over 150 servers. So please stop acting and posting so ignorantly.

    If the stone, 2W x 1H, is for creating fireplaces and burning wood, it needs to be changed to a "group of stones" or turned into a 1W x 1H. I'm sure as hell not carrying even two of those if the requirement for creating a fireplace is more than 1 piece of stone.

    Sounds like you're either overheating or having some power issues Eisenmaik, I'd be leaning more towards power issues. Sounds like the current is dropping off somewhere in your system for a period of time, and then recovers.

    What would be the point of wiping characters after every patch? If we were here to actually test the game and not play it, Bohemia would be hosting every single server on the current list. How many of the servers do they actually host? Less than 5%. You all can keep calling this an Alpha all you want, but all the "Alpha" tag does, is prevent people from frivolously getting their money back from Steam "because they are unhappy with the game". Read my sig, alpha came and went, the beta was a long time ago, what we are playing now, and what we all purchased, was the released game. Is it complete and done? Nope, that's what the Alpha tag tells you, literally nothing more. Testing the levels of loot and what not still applies whether people are geared up or not. If they're geared up, they'll be looking for more specific things, testing the loot... as if they were geared up players. And for the players that are'n't, they'd be testing the gear levels, as if they were.. new.. players... Anyway, character wipes are just dumb. We can easily kill ourselves at anytime during playing, whether it's simply walking up some stairs, walking down them, or doing just about anything in the game. I understand that the team claims they had enough security breaches within those first couple patches to call for a complete database wipe, but if they do that again; it's only going to make them look bad, and egg the actual hackers writing the scripts for everyone to troll that much harder. Don't feed the trolls, don't burn it down. Characters don't need a wipe.

    No you're right the current item spawning system and ability for everyone to server hop around makes it completely sensible to play the game legitimately when the majority of the players aren't. Nailed it bro.

    Amazing how you think that while you're "sitting" for 3 to 5 minutes that you wouldn't have multiple 30 second log out windows, allowing you to log on to another server, ghost around to another position, and combat log on them. You think players SHOULD be free kills, you probably have yet to kill anyone in DayZ. You're probably a horrible shot who keeps being friendly to all these jackasses, and keep getting your shit pushed in because of it. Sorry, but the game doesn't need to become completely broken just because you are a shit shot, and can't kill anyone unless they've already pressed the Exit button and are sitting there defenseless for 30 seconds. And that is the exact issue here, the facts are that WHENEVER you log out, whether there are players/zombies attempting to engage you or you are sitting there playing with your dick, this system treats you like you are COMBAT LOGGING TO ESCAPE DANGER. Explain to me why I should be at risk for 30 seconds after logging out if I just cleared this house, and have been sitting there for any amount of time? Why the fuck should I be sitting down for 30 seconds AFTER I disconnect, for a Zombie to respawn on top of me, or a player to log in next to me? You're god damn right if you're sitting down to fucking camp for 30 seconds that if they rush you, YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO DEFEND YOURSELF. If they're actually going to "combat log" which usually means they're going to try and ghost around for revenge, they won't be able to do that anymore nearly as effectively with the server reconnect timers. So please, stop spreading your suck all over this game, and let the intelligent people have a discussion.

    Bump. Like I said, I didn't figure the majority of people would be stupid enough to think that blindly rolling the dice every single time you log out as an effective log out system; and clearly the currently proposed logout system from the dev team, doesn't actually prevent any combat logging, ghosting, or anything else they're trying to "fix" by implementing it. Literally all it does is leave you open and completely defenseless for 30 seconds of which you have completely no control over. Yeah I definitely want to roll the dice every single time I log out with this 100 hours played character that's survived multiple firefights. No fucking thanks. "Oh but just run out to the woods and the middle of no where every single time you log out!!!!" If the game isn't going to have zombies randomly spawning throughout the wooded areas, this game is going to be shit. If this game doesn't have zombies spawning inside of homes, on the second floor, in the back room, behind the door in the kitchen, it's going to be shit. If this game doesn't have a entire horde of zombies that somehow got stuck inside one building, that you won't be able to see them until you open the door and see all 30 of them standing there, about to come after you; this game isn't going to be very challenging. And unless the dev team is planning on keeping zombie spawns to outside of all buildings, which I have already seen zombies stationary inside a building so far (I'm assuming it spawned in there), there will NEVER be a "safe" place to log out. You're telling me that I should think it's "safe" to log out, anywhere, when a Zombie could literally respawn 1 second after I press Exit, and spend the next 29 seconds causing me to bleed, infecting me, and possibly killing me? I'm going to get back on the next day to find a wiped character and have no idea why? Yeah that idea is genius.

    The current implementation of the logout timer is trollish.

    I already posted a lengthy topic on this, and it's got multiple pages. The dev team apparently thinks you should either A) roll the dice every single time you log out, assuming you are a combat logger, every time. Or B) You're some sort of exploiter for being able to use your fucking eyes while sitting down for 30 seconds, and using your player skill to evade a dangerous situation or encounter while trying to log out. Their logic is completely ass backwards, and pretty much non-existent. How they think that their "internal" testing which probably didn't have 200 players on 6 available servers, while telling people to server hop, while trying to test these. Somehow I imagine they had one main server, and a "server hopping" server, to allow players to log over and "ghost" around on, and then log back on to the main server, claiming ultimate failure for sitting down and logging out, versus this stupid ass logout system they're about to implement.

    Hardly 90% of the players are doing it, and if they keep fucking wiping characters due to THEIR lack of security and THEIR lack of internal bug finding, it's not going to end well for them.

    Why don't you take a crack at it and bring us your shining examples of completely sound isolated gunshots, with no background noise, wind, or anything besides the gunshot? Good luck with that high SPL microphone, it's frequency response, recording it from the right distances, angles. I think you'll find it to be a lot harder than you'd think. But what do I know? I only do sound engineering for a living.

    Probably because he didn't actually engineer or record those sounds himself, making them illegal to use as soon as someone payed even $0.01 for the game. You all really have no idea what it takes to capture gun sounds. Trying to put a gun in an environment in game? Better get that gunshot as isolated as possible, IE not outside, indoors where you won't be blowing your hearing out, and somewhere you can actually fire off a gun. I'm sure none of you are savvy to the fact that this is how they used to check sound decay of rooms, they would fire off a gun and see how long it took the sound to completely disappear. Capturing gunshots is not an easy thing to do, placing them into environments is a whole nother ball game.
  24. Freakier more infected? You mean completely broken and warping all over the place? Going from standing right next to you to all of the sudden running in a circle around you, still somehow managing to hit you as they're moving and not standing still or swinging? Yeah if DayZ SA has any plans for completely broken and game breaking AI like the Mod currently has, they're going to see this thing go down in flames faster than the Hindenburg.

    Yes, having people completely undermine and eliminate the integrity of a game, permanently, is definitely better than not being able to play it for a few hours. These are definitely the kind of intelligent posters we need giving feedback for DayZ... If you guys really think that people can't and haven't ported over scipts and menus into DayZ, you're kidding yourselves. Are they everywhere, running rampant? No. Were they ever that way on Arma 2? Nope. You had and still have the small community of dickless douchebags that somehow get some sociopathic fun out of ruining everyone else's. They never go away, that community never really gets much bigger, but it never really gets much smaller either.
