Hey Aussie Chick :) Actually, for me it is always a kind of "liberation" if you separate from highloot. Whether this is voluntary, is done by a bug or a losing battle as irrelevant. At the end it is again "hunger" to new and different items and a different character design. Until one again is highly equipped and the game starts over. Unfortunately, there is currently still no real late game and it remains the thrill any time of losing the previous Captured. Themselves simply kill without a fight comes to me voluntarily in question. For the time investment has been too good and also it may well be that a good fight one delivers and wins in the end ... and then STILL have more Highloot. ^ ^ Anyway, try to risk more and run in Berezino, Elektro or wherever around and clean Sniper Hill, the hotel prior to the fire station or other campers positions available in the game. Always with the knowledge in mind that it may be your last action with this char. That is: Give it your all! :) best regards

Hey all together. :) I have after weeks of not playing DayZ reingeschaut again and somehow still lacked this "zombie factor" in the game. Sure, I follow the forum 1-2x a week and also look busy at reddit and the Devtrackern generally pure. However, despite the published roadmap, I have my doubts that there is again this Zombie Survival Feeling that I had hoped for. Even in the mod that was unfortunately only accessories and not really well implemented. I am speaking here not of such detailed things like "zombie hordes" or further into the matter following improvements, but just from the basic things such as animations, appearance, behavior, reactions, etc. Now there are in Experimential patch as a first step Ragdoll, but there's so many things are open in the base game (such as cars, base building, etc.), I do not think it is still large time possible to implement something in DayZ. General, I fear that it is simply too much content to is what is planned and what is hardly feasible in my opinion in this period. Especially in relation to bug problems, problems with the engine itself and the coordination of the different associated areas in the development team. What I hope for is a zombie creatures which of course to sounds, movements and smells responding (eg blood) and then hobbles depending on the degree of decay or Zombie style, crawling, running or even phased runs. So the zombies are then partially to real danger or maybe not if, for example, just crawl like it was in the mod. I honestly hope that you can implement most of what you have set out to do, but right now I doubt (and my friends with whom I had already discussed that) seriously because so many more implementation work are open, the pressure from month to month (also because of the "competitive" as H1Z1) rises and the time is less. Anyway .. hope dies last well known. So much power, nerves and success in programming the developers. -
Hey I believe that DayZ SA would be a great game in about a few months. At end of the year, maybe january, february at 2015 in the latest. BUT...but...now, it`s still alpha, it have no long-time features in it and for me, it`s not one of the top3 games to play atm. I really hope DayZ Sa goes more in the survival, difficult area and is not that easy like in the mod sometimes. The last issues which where found and almost fixed in the last weeks, makes this project not easier, but i really like Dean`s outstanding engagement and information management @reddit. He is my hope for a game that would be one of the most played and liked games in my life, DayZ SA. But he and his team have a long way to go and he will leave it at the end of the year... ..so i`m full of expectations like we all are more or less. :)

Please dont forget...chernarus is in a post-soviet country. These "modern" cans are a higher consumerservice and i knew alot of cans here in germany who didn`t have that. Because its a little bit cheaper to buy cans like in dayz. I think these type of cans fit perfect in this post-apocalyptic ex-soviet state and makes the survivalfactor more interesting. :-) greetz

yeah, that would be cool. :) Also i think that there are too many military-buildings and it is too easy to survive atm. A stamina/ weight system (like someone wrote before) would be awesome. I think there is something like that in a DayZ-Mod. The mousecontrol from the experimental patch is very good in my opinion. I like it and maybe the team make it a little more realistic and it would be a good mix to play. :-) DayZ could be more realistic (yes, i know it`s still alpha) and not in the casual-gamer direction (like ex-war z). So atm i`m very optimistic, because of the aktuall exp-patch and the released roadmap. greetz

i love this scenario, the postapokalyptic zombie-world (as a huge zombiefan). to play with my buddies and meet other people or kill other people, go together trough hell and you never know what will happen next. maybe you get killed by another squad? or, when you play alone, you meet "friendly" player/ a player and you never know if you can trust them/him. do you kill them/him first or watch and maybe get killed later because you trusted them/him? it`s not always easy and the most of the time i dont want to stay a long time with new people, because..hey, it`s dayz! never trust anyone. but sometimes..you meet very nice players and sometimes (like yesterday) you meet players who kill you as an naked freshspawn and saying "i make me fear!!1, that`s because i kill you".. ;-) Yeah..so there are many reasons why i live this game and the mod before. I really hope its getting more like the world from j.l. bourne or max brooks. =)

damn, i`ve just red the news yesterday und was excpecting a huge sh*tstorm, but THIS...wow! I really have to say that i like Dean Hall for what he have done with the mod and that he pushed this standalone. But also i think he is not that big leader oder boss who can handle this game or lead it into the right direction at a point where it gets to the finalversion and when you have to set priorities. Even he says that he is a boost things and let people believe in things to start with, but he isn`s the character to manage this huge expectation into the programming of dayz standalone. When he said that he wants to go back to new zealand and try to make his own studio and this stuff...i absolutely believe him and respect this risky step. This interview with eurogamer is the maybe not the best way to warn the community, but it is alot better than be like Persson from minecraft who ends suddenly and unexpected. I hope that Dean could insert alot of his ideas into the standalone the last 10 month and wish him the best for his next dreams. 10 month is enough time to implement many good features and bring that game on the line to a game he. we dreamed for. And still after he leaves, i trust many of the crew to make this game worth to play and be better and better. So for the cash i paid, i got already enough fun to play and got ~130hours of playtime. I haven`t played SA for about 1-2 weeks now, because i`ve wait for the new stable-patch which brings new stuff, maybe new experiences. So no panic pls to all the players here...DayZ SA is already a good game and will be much more better in the next 10month (with Dean) and i bet also after he leaves. :-) Greetz -

I`m a Frankie & Jack "Fanboy" since they started with DayZ and would say, that they aren`t maybe not the best help für bambis. They are really progamers in DayZ, BF3 and some other games. They are entertainer, very good storytellers and calm, no arrogant YouTubers. I would say that frankie isn`t a hacker oder something like this. He is really that good and sometimes we can`t explain things or are a little blended by our emotions when you got killed (or in this video a whole big squad). I like him and his quality Stuff on YouTube. Jack`s vids too. But there are better DayZ tutorial-videos fpr bambis than frankie`s. =) I think the best "tutorial" ist just to play and learn. play, play, make errors, learn from it, play, play = winning! -
okokokok.. I go shopping now and buy food and stuff, then go play the new DayZ-Version! fap,fap,fap* ♥ Dean. It`s the right step in the right position, so i`m fine with it and want to play DayZ after a short break about 4-5 days.

A few stories from yesterday and today. I was on an experimential server yesterday and found no loot..only 1-2 beans, nothing else. Not an axe or even baseballbat, whatever.. I spawned on the east-coast, walked to Berezino saw a player , nearly full equipped, on the side of the road... ..there lay an axe and other meleeweapons behind him and first i thought this would be a trap or something. But when i saw that he probably in his inventory i take the axe behind him and killed him quickly. I died twice before becaue of starving..the experimential server was already empty, no loot, the most of the player suicide oder died without food.. So it was a surprise and good start to test the new features. Another story from today. We walked through this awesome town named Polana... My buddy and me looted almost everything and suddenly i saw an survivor with an axe only and no backpack.on. I, normally not this friendly, greets him. My buddy was behind him but not seen from this guy. Covers me. Then this guy (russian) asked me if i can give him something to eat. He put his axe on his back. I said "sure, i can give you sardines and tuna", open the sardines... ..and (oh wonder) he puts his axe out and tries to axe me, but got shot to death from my buddy. It`s DayZ and you have to have an plan B... Been this friendly is not always a good option and normally i will leave or handcuff him or maybe kill him if he didn`t leave.. Never trust anybody but if you meet someone or a group which you can speak on teamspeak etc.with, THAN it`s very good. With a group or best buddies, DayZ is one of the best multiplayer-games in history in my opinion. Even if the SA is not final. Hi :-) I could play on 2 Servers (one german, one swedish), both hardcore. I`ve met a few other survivors and the most of them are "friendly". But two guys tried to axe me on the waterpumps but i was too smart, so i could easily spot them when they ran towards me with their fireaxe. After we ran a few metres, i speak to the guy that i`m faster than him (because of fist up and he has a weapon in his hands) and i will kill him the next time i see him. So he got lost and i could explore the new, really beautiful city in the north of chernorus. Hey buddy :-) I had the same experience about one week ago. random-server and i was on the way to elektro to meet my comrade and then, suddenly, 10-12 zombies came out of nothing and try to attack me. I was really suprised but it was fun and first i thought it was a hacker, but now i think its a bug or idk.=) The feeling was just "wow, concentrate, one-hit shots and move, shot, move,..." They were easy kills but because of this i could mention how it would be with alot of more zombies ingame. greetz

I`ve found everything except the down jacket. I really love the full equipped Mosin, TTsKO jacket and the good damn Magnum! (TWD-Fanboy here) :-) Every new item in a new patch is like a lilttle christmas-present for me.

Hi guys :-) Normally i`m not a KoS-Player in DayZ. At the Mod i`ve tried to teamup with the most of other players. But this time, i`ve tried a few variations in DayZ SA. The last time, i played together with 4 other friends on a full SA-Server and we cover our positions at the Northern Airfield. We had all an M14 and 2-3 mags for it. + 2 Pistols as backup. I was on the top of the firestationtower where the hangars are. So i was the spotter and suddenly, when we wanna go back to the tents, where the serverhoppers spawn, i saw 4 players as a squad trough the middle in direction to my position. Then, we waited and they group up to 2 players in each group. One group loots the tower, the other the hangars. When the Hangargroup was away from the towergroup we start shooting. The towersquad was easily killed without a hit on one of our squad. So the Hangargroup split up after hearing the short shooting. One of them lays down and rob forward, the other tries to run behind the hangar and where the wall is. But he got killed after he was near to us. The last, lay down-enemy was killed after flanking and stood behind him. So he had no chance. Suddenly, after we killed these 4 player-squad, there was another 2 player-group coming from the tents at the northern position at the NW-Airfield. They didn`t see us, we saw them first and regrouped. So they walked into our trap and we got them easily from both sides and behind them. After this, we looted them and make sure that we are save in our new position, the woods. This event was fun to play and nobody from us was hurt or something. We disciplined killed 6 players in about 10minutes and got new ammunition, a few things to be full equipped. This KoS, was neccessary in my opinion, because if i where alone, without my buddys, i bet i would be killed on sight by these groups. Others experiences in the mod, where we met other people from all around the world, are nice too. But in this early level of the game, where there are so many serverhoppers and KoS-Players, its the right way in most of the situations. Hopefully, after a few months of the DayZ-Game Evolution, it is possible to meet more of the friendly players ingame, to teamup with.

Should it be easier to keep fed/hydrated?

I`ve played DayZ SA for 28 hours now (WTF?!?..this info is from steam) and had only i few startingsprobs with thirst and hunger. After all i found enough to eat and drink (easy with waterbottles and beans ♥). BUT...i would say, that it is too often that you have to eat & drink...even if you`re stomach ich full. This should be more balanced and not THIS important in DayZ...in my opinion. Every hour or so you need to drink or eat should be okay. If you run alot and you`re full of package, than about 30-40 minutes. idk but at the moment, it`s too often i think. -
fast and highly observant zombies are bad for the game

Hi :-) I wish that zombies are more dangerious as in the mod and be more different. We had the crawlers, the "hoppers", the runners and this stuff, which hopefully get back in the SA. A horde (15-20 of zombies) would be awesome. And if there is someone in a bigger city and make loud noises (gunshots, explosions), there starts eventually a bigger "horde" or like the zombies near to this (150-200metres) going in this direction. So this situation would explode dramatically into a "damn, i have to get out of here as quick as i can!". But, i have to agree, this needs a better AI and i honestly think that this is not possible for dean hall and his crew. :-/ So maybe the different types of zombies and then alot of them in bigger cities. I normally love the "oldschool" zombies like in dawn of the dead, op wwz (book), from j.l. bourne and this stuff. So, not the running zombies. But okay, it`s DayZ and there are always running zombies. :-)
