My way of dealing with the "frustration"? The first 2 years, i`ve read almost every article at my sources of gamingnews etc. Watched alot of Streams, YouTube (jackfrags, Frankie, Silo, Septic Falcon, ...), played alot with and without friends (who got frustrated easier). With the time i`ve noticed or atleast had the feel, that something is going into the wrong direction or was missplanned. Like there was/is alot of timewasting or would be a better chance to use the ressources (...time!), to push the game forward. Idk, i lost the big hope step by step and just looked into the forum and 1-2 websites to inform me with the latest threads, updates. One of the things which dont let me go was the developer-board with the work in progress screens/videos/sounds...like the new zombiesounds etc. After i dont played Dayz for a couple of month now, i am not "frustrated" anymore, but yeah...(like i wrote in the other thread) disappointed, if it wouldn`t be a huge step in the next 1-2 years of DayZ SA. That`s my way to deal with this "problem", which i don`t think is a real problem compared to reallife things. ;-) But....i really wish and hope für Hicks & Co., that they are/still be focused on the core of a zombieapocalyptic surivival game with different kinds of ways to play and individual styles for the playerlook, weapons, bases etc. That`s it - Bye :)

Hey :) At this stage, even with all the positive things since start - compare to the expectations AND announcements from the DayZ SA Team, it would be a disappointment for me....to be honest. I personally need more Zombies, real Basebuilding etc. in DayZ...what is still missing in my opinion and will be hard to implement by time i think. I still have hope in me and looking forward for Version 0.60, when i will play the game after month again, to see how the feeling and fun it is.

Same for me... Laggy as hell (because US-Server) but i could catch up some new things. Also the zombies seems more accurate to react, when you go stealth. http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/394423135486387149/385C24CE70BE828126D9FA7547386F22C6684F4A/ So, yeah...TWD starts in a few minutes and i will try the EXP later. Atleast something new for DayZ SA so far.

Is it worth buying Dayz standalone yet? [With Developer responses]
nebuuuu replied to Blade4777980's topic in General Discussion
I really believe, that the Devs wanted too much and spread in too many directions. Yes, they have teams for each part of the game (mapcreation, zombies, graphics etc.) and only the mod in a new engine wouldn`t be enough for the most of the players i guess. The delay is nothing new in SA and even when i wait for a few month (like now), there are always new bugs coming or atleast the version is unstable, so they have take something out (loot, zombies etc.) to start from the bottom. That`s not bad and i think normal for a non-beta Game (Q4 2015...). But i really think the relatively low gamemakers-experience at the beginning and switch from first thoughts to another and then get bugs and now they have experienced new problems, caused the delays until now. I don`t say, that DayZ is a bad game or this has no future. But they did make som huge mistakes at the beginning and after Dean`s Goodbye, they tried to started fresh, but now struggling with hard bugs or fragile gameparts like the loot or now zombies. My hope is not gone and i`m always interested in DayZ SA, read every 2-3 days in the forum, Dev-Blog etc. So i really believe, that the interest for that game, with that potential is still possible, like it was at the first 6-12 month. It "just" depends on the developers and how they get back to the road and make DayZ SA a compact, balanced (Survival-PvP) Game with a better stability (FPS etc.) as now and atleast features like in the mod. I would say, they have just a few month to reach that goal or it`s getting worst and worst for the interest for DayZ SA. It already started, what makes me sad, because i still have hope and wanna play with my buddies. :) So come on Hicks & Co...you can do it! -
Dark nights? Where'd they go? Also: Thunder?
nebuuuu replied to VVarhead's topic in General Discussion
I would really like to see weather like strong rain with storm and bushes, gras are blowing in the wind...maybe heavy thunder and stuff. The atmosphere is too low for a zombie-apokalyptic game in my opinion. I know that they are doing the environment thing and it`s still early alpha... (after ~2years), missing zombies and all the important things. But yeah...it`s allowed to dream :) -
Do Zombies Dream Of A Good Nights Sleep? (Zombie feedback)
nebuuuu replied to SmashT's topic in General Discussion
I must honestly say that not everything was wrong, what has been written here about zombies. How much they are missing in DayZ, And is placed too little focus on them. Clearly, there is much more than this game content, but basically must be in a zombie survival game. Especially the zombiemechanics and -numbers ... That's been (in my opinion) seriously neglected, is for me also in an alpha and beta phase soon, with it. Would it be a random game, where it rather comes to Survival and there is only a loose story about any rumors like zombies, etc., then okay ... it wouldn`t be so important. But in a game where it is dark at night, you walk around with a torch and pays attention to every perfumed. Or try to get medicine, to approach food etc. and find a way to bypass a Zombie Horde there... Since there are just thrilling situations where you possibly meets people, then interrupted by zombies and a completely new situation arises where you might be dependent on each other or stop other falls in the back, which would previously (without zombies) quite different can run , Taken too little bandages or shot too much in the city? Now you're sitting in shit and hear arrive you know ... Decide wisely. Decide quickly .. Hopefully this is from the beta phase and moved more greatly improve the focus on Zombies. PS: Yes, I know that there are different teams that work also different and you can not throw everything into one pot. :) Zombies should be the basis for DayZ and always, similar to The Walking Dead, always a dangerous to the survivors around. One wrong decision and it avenges itself perhaps. Insufficient Bandages..upps...you`re in trouble! Google-Translater and mixed by myself ftw XD ♥ -

Is it worth buying Dayz standalone yet? [With Developer responses]
nebuuuu replied to Blade4777980's topic in General Discussion
There were in average about over 15.000 Players in February, playing DayZ SA. In May only 6.500 Players in average left. Also the peakplayer-statistics getting lower. http://steamcharts.com/app/221100 Even if there are crybabies and this is early access, alpha etc., it`s a sign to the developer to speed up a little and hold up the interest for DayZ SA, because other games are nearly published or in the line. -

nebuuuu replied to Blade4777980's topic in General Discussion
yeah old days maybe never comeback..and for me, that wasn`t the reason to buy the standalone. But i searched for the special feeling from the mod and the mods from the mod ^^, the whole environment, the stuff from dayz mod and the mechanics like basebuilding, vehicles, loottours, pvp, maybe missions vs ai like in overpoch etc. All this stuff is hopefully coming in the next months/years...or atleast in the mods for the standalone. The big reason why i paused dayz standalone for quite a while now, is because of the missing persistence. I don`t wanna repack all the stuff every wednesday. I just wanna craft, loot, search for other people to steal stuff from them, to build my own little base, somewhere in the woods. With a little fireplace, maybe a truck, tent and yeah...i would be happy. (even if i lost everything to thiefs and have to start again.no prob) This content is not in the standalone, so i have to wait and hope, that the development of the game will be steady and late-game-stuff will be implemented soon. But yeah, alpha and other probs like fps, mapchanges, serverarchitecture etc. are more important. I understand it and have to wait for the real game-content, to come. Like much people said in the last weeks, months: just wait and give feedback, to play standalone again. The game is not dead, the developement is still in progress and dayz standalone have big steps to make to be a awesome game at the end, but atleast they are on a good way, in my opinion. Like the new zombie ai, the already good apocalyptic feeling and different ways to build your char up etc. Don`t give this game up. The potential is very high and i still believe in the future updates and the team. There is no reason to be dramatic. Just pause the game and look for it in about 1-2 month steps. Cheers :) -
Hi guys :) Okay then...I will break the lance and write my opinion down here (by using the Google translator and my low English skills ^^)... At first, i think DayZ SA is still in the BIG timeframe and they can still make a very good game out of it, before it is released as final. Only the mistakes they made as in selecting the graphics engine, the partially serious bugs as invisible zombies/players and a number of other delays such as currently the lootprobs and especially since the beginning of the performancedrops in cities (which at last seems more into focus now), have DayZ a fair bit thrown back. The development could be significantly further and in my opinion, also have to be part, if there is a clearer course would have prevailed from the beginning. Without Dean`s Legend to destroy and also in view of the overwhelming early success from standalone, there were surely decision problems, which are almost corrected now (it seems), but cost a lot of time and also resources and patience of the players. Basically, I would have been expected to be implemented at this time: persistance of tents, cars, items on the servers (so we can build early bases)a minimal functioning looteconomybasic, simple craftingsystem like hatchet -> tree -> boards for nailing houses, as an alternative baseSure, this things are not implemented at the latest by next year, but still lack important core elements, which I have deliberately omitted. e.g. animals, zombies, AI, extended basebuilding, details and variety in items around, zombies, weapons, player status etc. I have the opinion that the DayZ SA development is about 4-5 months behind, what they could be. I fully understand that the teams working also separately from each other and therefore, for example, the weapons team can work etc. farther and faster than, for example the engine / server people. As I said, I think it is still justifiable developmentally, but it is felt they need to catch up. Nevertheless, there has of course not even reached the official beta and i understand that. I hope they continue chosen path of the last 3-4 months, with the communication and transparency-policy as now. Like the Developer newsblog/timeline-board, -forum etc., to see what really happens to make this game good. Thank you for that@DayZ Team and Bye to all survivors. See you soon in Cherno ..if someone is there. ;-)

So I'm at about 300 Playtime at the moment. Just looked on Steam. I'm waiting for the important content for me. Such as primitive base building to create a separate area. Where to cultivate crops. Builds up the tent or 2-3 smaller tents + campfire. Possibly a truck next to it, or even a bicycle, small boat. Somehow, something like that. Crates for storing food, ammunition, clothing, etc. But would like gesagt..ich already satisfied if things remain on the server stored permanently and you can count on. Simpler base building can just order to build up something and then possibly lose again and possibly elsewhere plunder. Just fight for survival amidst a zombie apocalypse. Of the zombies to mention. But who are, after all, so slow in the extended development. An incoming zombies with stealth option would have been a start in this regard. Otherwise, I watch the days back in and n, there will certainly come back again to at least 5-10 hours. But I'm just missing that the new, fresh things atm, since I already have everything experimented ingame as good as possible.

Nope, it is my TS-Server (he is a guest). We played for several hours for 2 days straight. We make fun about us in alot of another situations. Even he makes jokes with rotten food (where we need medicine) and there wasn`t any problem at all for us. And i take one ammo pack out of 5-6 he had, to secure the team (because i had no ammo). We shared everything and even he wasn`t handcuffed for a long time. Maybe just a few minutes. And after that, he gave me no chance to give him the ammo back, because he shot me in the back AND insults me even when i warned him to calm down and listen, that it was only a joke between all the others these hours we played as a group. Even the others think he overreacted alot and couldn`t understand him. So sry about that, but if this is your morale standard after you get alot of things from your playgroup and couldn`t stand another joke for 5-10minutes, shoot one of your teammates in the back...idk, it`s not my type of playing Dayz SA. He got handcuffed for just a few minutes, had alot ammo back, is a guest on a teamspeak-server, got alot from the other teammates (also the one who take 1 ammo from out of 5-6...), shoot one mate in the back, insults him in a very rough language... ;-) yeah, but i agree. We propably had different opinions about that, if you think i had to look at my own behaviour. :)

Hey ... do not even bother. I once played (at the beginning of DayZ) with a buddy from my buddy. We have more than 2 days experienced adventure together. I have I healed, delivered food, ammunition, everything .. As 5er team it came to be that I've handcuffed him for fun. Everyone laughed about the situation (because it was almost new in DayZ), but he tooks it deadly serious. I took 1 Pack Mosin ammo, because I had no more ammunition else. he had 5-6 packs of it left ... At the end, I freed him, he was pissed and wanted me to give him his Mosin Ammo 1 again. When I just wanted to say that I otherwise could not protect the team to help because no ammo ... Suddenly I was shot in the back and he insulted me on TeamSpeak. Games can have an very strong influence on a few persons. Similar to many other things in life too. Anyway, I exhorted him to leave the crude insults already, otherwise I would have quit playing together and kick him from the TS (he was a guest). Then the thing was done for me. No problem. He did not listen to and bang ... a shame that it had to happen. In retrospect, I can not quite understand why some still freak out like that. I mean, we have each other helped us, protected, etc., and then he will not leave 1x ammunition from a total of 6-7 packs, so then I can not help if it comes to an shootout? But it is and remains DayZ .... only very few can be trusted in the long run.

nothing special ^^ i just like the beginning feeling of basebuilding.
