Once. I roll around with a survivor playstyle. I stay away from military bases. Managed to loot a Mosin and some rounds for it. I have a medkit, backpack full of canned goods, 2 canteens and 4 tin openers. I figured there's not much more to do so I went to Zeleno to find friendly players who need tin openers and food. Then I saw this fully kitted guy, by his movement looked to be scavenging for food. I thought that was my guy. Turns out he's deaf, blind, and dumb (not sure with dumb). I said helloo in voice and typed YO. But he's deaf and blind so I followed him into one of the houses, expecting he'd exit through the back door. Big mistake, he went to one of the rooms and I'm now between him and the exit.Tried to communicate via voice and was pretty sure he'd hear and see me this time but he still appeared to be deaf and blind. He went to the corner of the room and even proned to peek under the bed. At that point I figured guys like him would freak out when he sees me and shoot on sight. I didnt wanna turn my back cause he has an m4 so I waited for him to line up with the sights on my mosin. He popped through the door but then I missed. He ran around the room like a maniac, he exposed his body on the door again and I popped my mosin. Misfire. No rounds. He unloaded half a clip on me when I was crouching then another half while I'm already dead. lol I guess my backpack gave him a merry-xmas. But seriously how the crap do I reload a mossin? Before that little skirmish in Zeleno I knocked down a couple of zombies just to get a feel for the gun. Not sure if it's a bug on the Mossin's reload (I've seen a post about it) or there's a special way to reload guns in this game.

I can model, texture and animate. I have a full time job but I mostly do compositing. As much as I would like to be part of this, doing so would be an insult to my colleagues and myself. Maya $3675 dollars, zBrush $795, photoshop, tablet, PC, electric bill, and of course my time. Just not worth it. Good luck anyways

some might say this is an overkill but I'm also new in DayZ. I don't use a compass because I haven't found one. lol. I use the sun and stars and I also learned to read basic Russian/Cyrillic alphabet. It's not that hard. I thought I already edited my post. My bad. I can see SG servers now. The issue was my filters. For some unknown reason I get 270ms on asian servers. Probably it's because of my net and the holiday season. Never seen any Thai server. Good luck!

I'm not sure about you guys but I disable mouse acceleration by dragging it to the left. Gotta keep doing it everytime you reconnect though EDIT: my bad it was the 'smoothing' setting that I was dragging to the left

That kinda sucks but it's fine. I don't play the game to dominate the server at the moment. I'd play dota 2 if I ever feel like that but who knows man, maybe I'll start to like the whole bandit thing in the future. :)) Philippines. Oohh I kinda know how to tell direction using the stars but I'm on the other side of the planet (no wonder I didn't recognize it was a real sky). I'll see if I can apply what I currently know or if it's time to learn a new night sky. And I can't see the moon during sunrise and sunset, might be hiding in the trees though

I don't wanna be accidentally heading south, as of the moment haha. The wind always blows east? That's kind of an immersion killer but this is Alpha, and for the sake of exploring the map I'll use that one :D @matiman Ah nice tip with the moon. So I bought the game yesterday. I'm having issues with my latency but that's fine as I already expected it (not sure why Asian servers got higher latency, I'm from SEA btw, but it's probably my net). I'm kinda getting the hang of it. Though I only managed to get one weapon on 11 hrs of gameplay, ironically I get tons of food and can openers. I have no problems with that, loving the game so far. Being new to the game I'm still relying on the tip "head north" and I use the sun and the shadows to orient myself north. That works fine until I have to take a break, come back after a few hours and find myself disoriented cause the sun is already on a different position. Problem could be solved if I have a way of telling the time in game, do watches exist here? Bigger problem when I come back after a few days on a different server in the middle of nowhere. Maybe I'm missing something but using the sun and the shadows is the only way I could think of how you guys navigate your way around Chenarus, until you memorize the map of course but I'm a long way from that, lol. Educate me. TYIA EDIT: Maybe it's just me being born in a tropical country, I have trouble distinguishing sunrise and sunset in this game. LOL

bump. I bought the game yesterday. Can't see any SG servers. I'm in the Philippines btw. Usually I have 40-90ms ping on other games/servers hosted in SG. I'm still having a blast playing on LA servers with 230ms though.
