Recently i have had some issues with unwanted duping. Not wanting to take advantage of the bug i usually just leave the items. But other people tend to find the items and use them against me. So i am wondering if, when i accidentally dupe, if there is some way to destroy the items?

I quite disagree. At some point of steepness, it is literally impossible to run without falling over. Many of the hills in this game would certainly qualify as that steep.

Hacker just Teleported me to middle of water.
Firstbornchicken replied to DagNabit's topic in General Discussion
Depends on the country the consumer is located. I, for example, live in a country where there is only one circumstance under which you can forfeit your right to a refund. Any other reason, even if contractually signed, is void. Yet, the country south to me, has no such rules, and can forfeit a number of different consumer rights. -
Is it possible to destroy items? (duping)
Firstbornchicken replied to Firstbornchicken's topic in General Discussion
I think you are very funny.. Please continue using the same old tired line again and again.. I just keeps getting more and more funny, right? -
Holding a flashlight can actually help improve accuracy of handguns, if it's the right fit, will help you rest the gun over the secondary hand and make the gun more steady. Commonly taught to law enforcement and military personal, i am a bit surprised no one has mentioned that yet.

Exactly 032125. The effective range of a 6.5x55 is commonly believed to be around 1500 yards (1.3 Km) But various stray shots has been reported to land lethal at ranges up to 6000-7000 yards ( 5-6 Km ) Most recently a farmer was shot a few years back by a stray 6.5x55 hunting round at aprox. 4500 yards (3.6 Km) But no one can accurately aim that round at such a distance.

Comparing it to the mosin is a bad comparison. The mosin seems to be accurate at several hundreds of meters, while the M4 simply spreads the bullets after a certain point.

When will the progression loss issue be fixed?
Firstbornchicken replied to Chrime's topic in General Discussion
It's a well known issue, so please explain what you were trying to add with your comment? Do you really think it is relevant that it has never happened to you? On topic, i think the issue is being worked on (also the ingame rollbacks, where you suddenly teleport way back) but reproducing the issue is hard -
Hey. I was thinking of ways to make zombies more interesting, and i was thinking we could allow zombies to scale in power.. My main thought is allow zombies to be attracted to dead players, and if left eating the body they would increase in speed or strength. This way a dead body could be swarmed with strong zombies, and going for the loot becomes a choice. dare i do it or should i play it safe Thoughts?

Actually people have survived because of it. Drinking your own pee wont add new water into the cycle but it will help reduce loss of water. So drinking your own pee would actually save your life in some circumstances.

Blurred vision - I don't get it

You're low on blood. Go eat and drink until you get the " i am full" message, and you will regain blood. You could also get someone to give you an IV, that clears it straight up. Or you could enter the video option menu, that seems to remove it for some reason! -
Actually, if the urine comes from a healthy bladder, you're not in any real danger from drinking urine. It has been done many times to survive when lost. Also urine drinking is besides the known sexual act, also used as a alternative medicine therapy. Drinking urine is not dangerous. But i would not advice it anyway.

Dead bodies disappearing is not combat logging
Firstbornchicken posted a topic in General Discussion
The topic combat logging is very "Hot" right now. But reading through the posts i see a lot of examples that simply is not due to combat logging. The base premise is that if a person dies and his body disappears, then they are combat loggers. Which is simply something you cannot judge. In a test with two of my friends i have found respawning makes bodies disappear 12 of out 15 tries. We did not log out to respawn as some people have to(Due to bug) So the short of it all is, stop calling it combat logging when a body disappears.. You can't make that judgement, and it is more likely it is due to a repawn(or relog to be able to respawn) This is happening due to one or more bugs, and has nothing to do with the problematic combat logging situation -
Dead bodies disappearing is not combat logging
Firstbornchicken replied to Firstbornchicken's topic in General Discussion
Whaaat? I am talking about people mistaking an issue (Combat logging) With a bug (Body disappearing after respawn) How did any of what you just said apply to this post? Go brown nose somewhere else dude, you're way off the marker here! -
You addressed nothing of what i said. Robbing a car = Stealing something from inside the car Stealing a car = stealing the car itself. I think this is where we are getting it confused..

Dead bodies disappearing is not combat logging

Well reading the posts on this forum, it seems to be yes shit! People more often than not cry combat logger when they see a dead body disappear before looting them. -
Combatlogging, what it is, and how to prevent it
Firstbornchicken replied to phoboss's topic in Suggestions
Why go to such an extent instead of just adding a 1 minute logout timer? If you give the person a whole minute to stand still and logout, you don't deserve the kill, regardless of how cowardly the logger might be. -
How would a locked door or clamped wheel stop someone from robbing your car? I think it would be nice for making it harder to steal the car itself, but for protection against people robbing the car? Nah, too far fetched.

Zombie powerup (Dead players etc)
Firstbornchicken replied to Firstbornchicken's topic in General Discussion
This is what i was thinking.. I remember reading something about the zombies in days, not being traditional zombies (often defying reality) but simply infected humans, which would lead them to need sustenance -
Here in Denmark i pay around 30 DKK, per hunting round for my rifle... For the same amount of money i can buy a box of 50 .22s. This is my active rounds of course. Training rounds are significantly cheaper. Also the .22 is legal for hunting purposes in the EU, and most of Europe itself.. It is often used to shoot pests such as birds, foxes, cats, etc.

Zombie powerup (Dead players etc)
Firstbornchicken replied to Firstbornchicken's topic in General Discussion
I agree that it could lead to some innocents dying as decoys, but as you also mentioned, such is Dayz, And better killed for lure than for no reason at all :) -
Did you have a mag?

Do our characters not have immune systems?
Firstbornchicken replied to Really Old Man's topic in General Discussion
Yeah from a medical viewpoint, our immune defense is currently in a weakened state, human history wise. The human immune defense is build around learning to defend, IE, is has to fight an infection to get the cure. The control of food and environment in our daily lifes has made this immune building slow, because we are rarely exposed to anything. Which means, as we have seen so many times before, that people lost in the wild are more commonly killed by infections than anything else -
Just popping in to say i shot a ~80 Kg. Wild boar last year with a air powered pellet gun. I think it safe to assume that the most common caliber in the world (.22) would be in a game about a civil public surviving. Just the fact it is easier to find a military assault rifle than a .22, is so far fetched it is quite immersion breaking to be honest. The people arguing that there are cases of people being shot in the head etc with a .22 and surviving, all seem to forget that this is with the aid of advanced western hospitals, and not torn t-shits and medkits :) (A young girl took a close quarter shot to the head from an AK and survived btw. It happens) Without medical care, a shot in the head from a .22 is lethal, You would have a larger chance of winning the lottery than surviving.

You just have to stand just right.
