It's obvious really. Sports bows which is the most reasonable kind of bows to find in such a setting, are very quite, and with any sound pollution they become all most impossible to locate, or hear entirely. Being hard to hear where an arrow came from at even 10m, is reasonable. If someone comes within 10m of your group and fires an arrow unseen, you hearing it is the last thing you should be thinking about (Going about this gameplay wise seeing as you said you know little of bows) My 2 cents is, i see no reason to add an unnatural high volume to a already cumbersome weapon. -

On a slightly windy day, a bow strung 10m away can be hard to place. on a very windy day, you could miss it entirely -

So long as we agree the phrase originated from Skyrim. Which i think, is a cool way to interpret the game :) Roleplaying games do rely on us to fill in some blanks, and in this case, as you said, it referring to marriage makes so much sense. -

Nope. There is no evidence what so ever of that expression existing. -
Come one with the "Try going outside, no lights...." I frequently go out at night, both for hunting and fishing, and i know that after about 20 minutes i can see plenty. It is true that when indoors, the darkness can be intense, but in this game, with clouds on, standing outside is still as if night blind.

I would love for the game spawning system to accommodate some kind of party system. But helping two fresh spawns find eachother is one thing. But i don't like the idea of me looting up north, and my friend logs on spawning next to me. Would be way too op. For the chat part, i dunno, i always use an outside voip to talk to the people i am playing with

Well, there are functioning wall hacks out at the moment that does not get caught by vac or battle eye (Unless they are flagging for a mass ban or something) So it could very well be a wall hacker. The current multihack i know of, inclues aimbot, wallhack, teleport, among other things (wont mention the most tempting things, don't cheat guys) There is also a multitude of hacks that you get banned for after few minutes of play :) But i do fight with my friend from time to time, and he often kills me when i thought there was no way i could be seen, only to hear over ventrillo "i see a backpack" and dead screen (Also clipping through things tend to reveal me often)

@Belmarduk One of the worst feelings when doing PC support is getting your hands on a computer where some Google hero has been messing around. Some people can easily get the "feeling" needed to work with software, some people can't. Just like i could spend hours upon hours of teaching people how to repair a car, yet they will never ever get it. It is not reasonable to expect everyone to be experts in every aspect of every tool in our daily life. This is a perfect example of people not being able to stand besides their own perspective and look at something objectively

I quite agree. But i just don't see the "just learn it okay thanks" as a proper response. Just explaining people what it is the program is doing that they could do themselves, they always ask, "Why spend time doing a lot of stuff, that this one click does" And to be honest, i am flabbergasted by the question... i can't seem to explain why my complicated way is better than their one click program. Is my nerdish tingering really "THE RIGHT" way to do it?

Lets all just remember that it is ALPHA. People might need help getting settings that allow this ALPHA to play properly right here and now, but knowing the game being optimized later makes investing in new hardware, a tard, drastic? stupid? lacking in respect for money perhaps ? Not everyone that plays games understand such mechanics / settings.. i have had to help most my friends optimize their gear, and i would rather that some, "one click install" download could save me the trouble.

I am just saying, that the assumption that the FPS booster was at fault for being unlegit, is just that, an assumption.. It could very well be that FPS boosters are counted as cheats by the game (They once was by Warden fyi) So the question is still, at least to some extent, how safe are actually legit FPS boosters when it comes to BattleEye?

Old computers can be helped a lot by FPS boosting, and people with older computers are often the people not able to manually gain the effect. There is really no two ways about it, FPS boosting software is a legit form of software. sometimes it is even packaged with the drivers for the GPU

Yet, the FPS booster being the malware here, is only speculation. A lot of people use FPS boosters for their older PC¨s, can they safely do so? or does the anti cheat software deem it a cheat?

Run faster with your fists out.

A lot of people are saying that they are constantly desyncing when running with fists out. I have desynched a couple of times (Teleport way back from where i came) and it has only happened when sprinting with fists out. -
A company should always be vary when using such tools as BattleEye. Automatic bans due to flags, etc, can and will end in false positives. I think an alpha mode is far to early to introduce such a tool. I remember the good old days of VAC banning entire servers because the host was speedhacking (In counter-strike) What safety can you give me that if i, or a friend, is banned, that the ban is a legit offence, or if it is due to a bug or desync from the server? a server running a very unstable game in alpha. Alpha is to fragile a place to run such a powerful anti cheat tool tbh

Next time it happens try pressing esc. For some people this allows us to see what is around our body... This is a great way to check, if it was a coalission bug, aka, falling through the floor etc :)

Anti forum spam mechanics in a game? Yeah no thank you. I don't see anything worse being written on paper than said to a Mic. So this whole thing is stupid on it's face

also in the square on the roof. The loot spawns inside the texture so you have to jump into it and tab. Beware when exiting the square though, as you can jump off the roof from there
