I remember I actively sought the bandit skin. For me, it was a badge that I wore proudly just like many wear their hero skins. Usually it didn't matter to me if people targeted me for my bandit skin, because I more than likely would already be in the process of trying to kill them.

I think he kind of explained it right there. The game isn't correctly utilizing multi-cores.

Imagine when they add more zombies in 0.o The mod dealt with zombie and loot spawns clientside, meaning that if there wasn't a player in the area, loot and zombies wouldn't spawn. That was one of the big selling points of SA, the fact that this wouldn't be the case. In the mod it was easy to abuse, because you could sit outside town with a sniper and know by zombie spawns when a player entered the town, and from what direction they entered. However, the actual challenge that this presents is going to be interesting to watch unfold. I might be upgrading my computer if I want to continue playing the game on higher graphics settings as more shit gets added in.

I think it has to due with the pure amount of shit that your computer is trying to render. Consider the number of buildings and the fact that all of them have interiors, with all kinds of stuff within each building. You also can see inside these buildings through the windows. Most MMORPGs deal primarily in small, instanced areas, where you are only processing the small room or dungeon you are currently in. This game is trying to process an entire city.

Not when those are low priority items that you only carry as spares in the event of an emergency. Also, if you drag and drop on the "vicinity" panel it is actually really, really quick and easy to access something in a container 3-4 levels down.
-
Odds are you're going to have one container in your inventory to begin with. Then it's just a matter of levels of importance. If you have 4 or 5 levels of containers, you can have 2 other items on each level. It's actually quite a useful bug if exploited properly, and doesn't require unnecessary time to manage. Definitely needs to be addressed.

I don't celebrate Christmas, so neither should you.
-
Well, they already have a whole line of seasonal hunting gear in the game, so I could see it as a possibility really far down the road.

Damn, that's a shame. Would definitely weed out a lot of threads. Although I guess GD ends up being the default forum for anything game related, no matter how many subforums you create.

Confirmed, no settings tweaked to produce rain.

There is an entire subforum for this. Move along.

You can already hide bodies. They disappear, meaning you can't come back to it and loot it later.

Is it weird that the first server I played on, all the corpses I came across had no pants? I thought it was a glitch, until I joined another server.

If you drink disinfectant spray, it coats your stomach, allowing you to eat rotten fruit without getting sick.

How the world came to be. The origins of the virus.

Your story doesn't involve Green Mountain. Not valid. -
I usually shoot people based on whether or not they have a weapon, not their clothing. I tend to hang out at Balota and kill the spawn killers. I'll camp up in the woods, wait for a bambi to run onto the air field, and when he gets shot, I pinpoint the aggressor and take him out. Perhaps military garb will make you more likely to be killed once the body disappearing bug gets patched, meaning you can actually loot people after you kill them.

I wonder if they have any legal obligation to the customers to finish the game, or if they could just say "it's finished" then bounce.

The only sign that isn't in Russian on DayZ -_-

They need to include that yellow mo-ped in the game. -
Stop being retarded. Stop running down the middle of the road with your bright red backpack. Stop sprinting into high traffic areas without even taking 30 seconds to assess the current situation. It's a survival game, so start playing it like one. Perhaps you should start playing as a PvPer, because that has taught me more about surviving than anything. If you are a good PvPer, it involves not being spotted until you are ready to make the kill. Ideally, you will never be spotted. It requires you to out smart your opponent, especially when outnumbered. If you are playing smart, you should usually be able to escape the situation before being killed. If not, you should at least be able to defend yourself reasonably well. Aside from the occasional sniper, your approach to the situation greatly determines your character's chance of survival. Not some other guy's lack of punishment for shooting your ass. After playing as a PvPer for a long time, you begin to always watch your back to the point of paranoia. Keep your camera on a swivel. Constantly check tree-lines. Countless times I've been running in the woods, only to realize someone is following me. Had I not been watching my back, they would have eventually closed the gap, and I doubt they were looking for a friend. Until zombies are beefed up, players are your #1 threat. So instead of whining and crying on the forums trying to get the game changed, how about you learn how to play the game? Most of you people crying about KoS never played the mod. Many of you have less than a week experience with DayZ, and somehow expect us to all cater to your needs because you got shot and lost your bright red bike helmet! Man, that thing was so cool!

Couldn't help but crack up at this part -
I believe your stomach is just full. You filled up on water. Also, drinking water without purifying it has a small chance to make you sick (happened to me drinking from a spigot). The invisible value for your stomach should drop slowly over time. You might starve before that point :(

I was terrified by a dude wielding an axe who ran around whistling old-timey tunes over VoIP and chopping up anyone he could get near, never missing a beat whistling.

Does any one else feel burnt out already?

This dude's got it figured out. He likes to play the game a certain way, but correct me if I'm wrong, you aren't raving that everyone has to play it your way. Take some beans, kind sir! -
