Just so we are clear...Dean himself warned about new players to NOT buy the game in its current state because likely you wont like it unless you are a hardcore fan.

He may be able to pass by with atleast 30fps, further optimizations come sooner than later hopefully too

IF you the buy the game, you get the game in its state now and ANY future updates. So yes, you get he game for the life of the game.

There was no complaining, he was giving his feedback on the game as everyone in alpha should. Even going on to state he enjoyed it and will come back when it is more complete, although i dont believe he played 60 hours.

I would highly recommend if cost isnt much of a problem, to get an i7 or even an i5 which would run between $250-$350. DayZ along with many other games run MUCH better on intel processors than amd. And since you will have to get a new motherboard, it wouldnt be a bad time to switch over. A better power supply wouldnt hurt either if you are upgrading everything now.
