Changed Servers: Might as well of died.

It happened to me only once thank goodness, but one of my friends in game discovered that servers starting with a 4 - *** whatever numbers are the most likely to do this. It will be in the beginning of the server name. Some are 1-234, 2-118, 3-012 etc. Stay away from the 4's! -

I haven't tried this yet and am just curious if anyone has. Is it possible to store extra items you have in a house or other building. ex. Shed on the side of the road. Would server restarts effect this? This would give incentive (if your playing with a group of people) to "take over" a certain town or military base. Any thoughts or ideas, curious to know everyone's opinion. Thanks -
