I like 1PP only servers. I don't like that 3PP exploiters can loot up and join them.

Currently EVERYONE that has played for more than 15 minutes has a gun.

The problem there is the majority of people that are pro 3PP DON'T want it to be fixed as they don't see it as a problem. Oh and you're so right, I'm just like a child with my fingers in my ears not wanting to listen to anyone else. Must be why I wrote "Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong." Wait, do people really have a problem with fixing the cheating ability of 3PP? If they ever address this exploit just watch as the 3PP community is decimated. There still hasn't been a single plausible reason why 3PP is essential given it's exploitative nature. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. More fov? nope, won't make a difference. Want to see your character? nope, can be done via 1PP or inventory. Makes you sick? nope, can turn headbob down and if that doesn't help then maybe videogames aren't for you. I do not have confidence in Dean to rectify this exploit but if he can get rid of it and still allow 3PP then I'm all for it.

I feel ya. Unfortunately, even though 3rd person cheesers claim 1st person servers completely "fix" the problem at hand, the reality is you're pretty much fucked in finding a good server. I'm on the west coast and whenever I do a search there is usually just 1 fucking server that has a decent ping and it is usually full, so forget playing with a friend easily. Then you have the issue of the (3?) servers available only being day. Well tought luck says the 3pp community, you have 3pp off servers now so all the problems are fixed for you and don't ever complain about 3pp ever again. For me the day-time only right now isn't that big of a deal because people will just cheese their gamma so they can see you even better than they could if it was day.

Cheese-Monster's Lament So I'm rolling with my buddies, we've got the maximum loot. Now someone's coming round the corner and I'm prompted to shoot. The guy's wearing all camo and has an M4 in hand, And I can't immediately tell if he's part of my band. We're all linked up on teamspeak so I frantically say, "There's a player up the street with his gun pointing my way!" With 3rd person enabled there's no need to stall, I'm monitoring his movements safely behind a wall. I can see the threat clearly, I lean and pop out. I riddle him with bullets and I then hear a shout. My buddy says he's dead, "You idiot that was me!" "I'm sorry but there wasn't an indicator to see." I'm sure you will say I should have used in-game comm, But hey that's lame, don't tell me what to do mom. The obvious solution, the one that caters to me, Would be to add name tags for my whole group to see. And hey while you're at it, make Dayz DB in-game. No loot tables on the fly is quite truly a shame. Does anyone know when we can spawn with our friends, And show them on the map, their real-time location it sends? I'm growing tired of playing like I could die any time. Not fearing losing my gear would end up being sublime. Lastly can you please increase the brightness of night? The limited vision gives me far too much fright. Implement these suggestions and all will be swell. For those who disagree you can all go to hell! Edit: apparently even if you indicate this entire thing is sarcasm in the title people will still find a way to derp.

I am 1000% on board with everything you said. I just thought I would try to rhyme out the reasoning of the type of absurd requests these types of players come up with in a hopes of poking fun and parodying their demeanor.

My feelings aren't hurt and there were a couple of people that liked my post and knew exactly what it was well before the higher-reasoning-limited people showed up to spout their drivel. You're right though I shouldn't have thought that people wouldn't be this dumb on these forums.

If they don't respond to me via voice or text or if I think they're using shitty teamspeak tactics I'll blow their fucking head off. You have to communicate in some fashion otherwise I can't trust you.

There's one person who didn't get the obvious sarcasm.

So I've been enacting a highly satisfying playstyle as of late. Basically after I've gotten geared up I start doing lonewolf raids into airfields and military bases. During these raids, the goal is to take any and everything that is currently considered worthwhile with an emphasis on guns and ammo. Once I've taken all the ammo, headgear, and weapon accessories I make sure to place my gun on my back and take any spawned guns into my hands. Next step is to run to the treelines nearby and dump everything out all strewn about. If there was anything of significance left I'll make another trip. This should make loot a little harder to find for some on that server and also reward a lucky adventurer who notices all the loot in the woods before the server restarts.

I just meant my current "end-game" in the sense that this playstyle is my ultimate goal at the moment.

The majority of people don't like 3rd person not because they think it is unrealistic (which of course it is) but rather because of the ridiculous advantage it gives. They don't like the cheese. While the realism behind the zoom feature can be debated, there isn't any unfair advantages associated with it like you're insinuating by comparing it to 3rd person view.

Whatever happened to using Voip? Oh that's right, the people that are demanding these features are the ones that only communicate to each other through a 3rd party communicator completely removed from the actual game...

He's saying that people are dumb and only occupy the coast not that he himself agrees with that decision. It's pretty clear he doesn't like it. I always go in land personally and never see a soul even on a max pop server. Pretty sad really.

The sad fact is, if they fix 3rd person so that it isn't exploitative, a majority of those same people will also stop playing. They're not interested in playing the game on a level playing field.

No one has a problem with 3rd person in the sense that it allows you to view your character. The only reason people harp on about it is how the disembodied camera gives you a grossly un-authentic and wholly exploitative advantage against other players. Remove that aspect of 3rd person and the debate dies. Anyone that doesn't think 3rd person needs to be changed to remove this game-breaking condition is obviously not interested in using 3rd person just so they can see their character but are rather so accustomed to exploiting with it, they're worried about how it will destroy their survival rate.

If loot was more randomized (i.e. you could find an M4 in a residence) then random spawns locations would work. This would also help to make people actually fucking explore the map and not congregate into 3 locations. Just make sure higher grade stuff has a very low chance of spawning most everywhere with very slightly increased chances in their respective "homes." I'm sure lots of people would have a problem with this too cause "it isn't teh realishtick" but neither is having dozens of people just kill themselves so those very same people can teleport to a different location. A new spawn that has no wish to do anything other than suicide is not a survivor.

You're saying that like it is a bad thing. Game isn't for everyone.
