1) 48 hours is really long 2) Easy to get around 3) In (time) people could either do pretty much everything or get constantly killed by bandits 4) Or would it be in a SP thing? That would misrepresent the game 5) Could you just keep playing said (time) period?

What stops you from logging out if you are being robbed?
shenanigansmc replied to acekaze's topic in New Player Discussion
I hope that was sarcasm. -
I try to go help people, but usually get killed. So, now I am usually too paranoid of death to play, play other games then have my items reset because of some bug or update. Then, rinse and repeat.

What stops you from logging out if you are being robbed?
shenanigansmc replied to acekaze's topic in New Player Discussion
Nothing is physically stopping you, but soon there will be incentive not to (kill if you logged out in this situation ect). Currently, there is only your own mind stopping you. Be a decent guy and don't log out. -
I knew there was loot on top of the fire station, but usually I do not go and check because it is so easy to get sniped on.

I thought of this while playing, and would love it. There would need to be more things like this around the map though so everyone is not just around the train.
-
Couldn't you still take pictures in game by clicking on the item and clicking inspect?

Petition: Wipe of Characters on Next Update.
shenanigansmc replied to Clarkeh's topic in General Discussion
Infinite food Infinite water Infinite ammo Great for people who want to snipe a hotspot or kill newspawns. -
I was trying to get at the "they do not have to update it right this moment" as they would if it was a on games full release and there was a exploitable bug. It helps speed up testing on the player side, but is not stopping it. If there was a bug that, say, crashed the game after a few minutes, then there would need to be a hotfix or a way to prolong the time until said crash ect. This just stops you from looting some bodies of dead players. I have played the game perfectly fine up until now without needing to loot a body.

It's a alpha. Game breaking bugs like this can stay in all the way up to release if the devs wanted. And, being alpha, the devs can leave it more than ONE FUCKING WEEK DURING A HOLIDAY SEASON WITHOUT A UPDATE. It's basic things you should be aware of when becoming a open alpha tester. If the devs know about it, we need only 0 forum posts about it. Post below is correct, you can still play the game with this here.

I have experienced this so many times, but not got any video. Usually I open a door and BANG I am dead, or something else along those lines of "I don't know until I am dead", so I do not hit record fast enough, and nvidia Shadowplay (a thing by nvidia that records the last X time of your game) does not appear to work with SA. They would not be particularly interesting as not many bandits do anything interesting but KoS anyway.

What sacrifices would you accept to help Dayz Sa performance?
shenanigansmc replied to Jaygoon's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
I do not really need to sacrifice anything. I have killed my post-process blurriness and blominess to make things clear, and it also really annoys me. As development moves on, so will how well optimized the game is. If more PC intensive things are implemented, the devs are sure to spend some time on optimization so everybody can run the game who used to be able to. -
Sometimes my character doesn't save and I come back as a freshspawn!
shenanigansmc replied to treirk's topic in General Discussion
Make sure you were not killed, unconscious or in handcuffs when you left. Characters are sometimes reset (its a alpha, this is needed) or you may be connecting to servers not on the public hive (I think some are hacked so they are not connected). Some servers are also known to wipe your inventory on logon/logoff. -
Storage Containers/MedKits Redundancy
shenanigansmc replied to Mallow88's topic in General Discussion
I found this out while playing before, but had the decency not to exploit it. Go report it where narko said. -
Why do you have your esc options open in each screenshot?
-
Just about make it. Either contact the devs (email?) or wait a bit until the game is more optimized or turn down your graphics settings in game or using a guide (cant find the link, but it involves turning down some numbers in documents/dayz/dayz.cfg (open with a text editor like notepad to edit)

More than likely, yes.

Force mic chat: skype etc.. thru dayz?
shenanigansmc replied to sai (DayZ)'s topic in General Discussion
(referring to background noise) Yes, it does in some calls. But, just because it happens in some calls and affects them people in said call, does not mean everybody should hear it around the squad in game. A idea that was meant to implement more realism, is taking a load more away and annoying people (you do not hear non-existent people speak in the real world, non-existent dogs barking or music from non-existent music players) (edit: typo) -
Assuming you can keep up with the higher demand of water/food while running, go and run as much as you want. My tactic is usually go for the wilderness and find a inland village first, they are generally less visited = less of the buildings are clear of loot. You might say going right inland is bad, but I have memorized the direction I need to go from each of the (few) spawn points, plus you do not loose anything but a few mins of jogging if you die.

Never used the flashlights as I avoid night like the plague. If can confirm this is not you messing something up, stick it into the bug report section.

If your pc does not meet the minimum requirements, then there is a extremely low chance you would get a refund. What are your specs?

Any chance of implementing Santa hats in the loot table for christmas period?
shenanigansmc replied to Jaygoon's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
Probably not. Unless, the model is bad or glitchy. -
Pretty sure it is on the hive, otherwise anybody could just use a backup file to give them self great gear or teleport them somewhere.

Force mic chat: skype etc.. thru dayz?
shenanigansmc replied to sai (DayZ)'s topic in General Discussion
It could stop you from muting your mic through the game, but many headsets have a physical button to mute. Mine has one about 15cm down the wire from the headset itself, which has 4 buttons (mic mute, sound mute, volume up, volume down). I am pretty sure it does that all in the little box, and the PC never knows (at least about the mic being muted. Never found any traces of it being muted anyw -
Deconnexion = avoid to loose stuff in a fight
shenanigansmc replied to Wildust's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
This is called Combat Logging. It's a alpha. Soon, there will be a ghost of you around or you will just drop dead (not quite sure the specifics) if you disconnect and the server thinks you were in combat.
