Find a server, click it, mash enter like you're trying to mash potatoes. Alternatively, run a macro that auto-clicks enter then go take a shit, come back to a loading game.

The idea is to survive, like you said. That's the core. Other players are a risk to your survival. That's why you kill them. That's why most people kill them. Not just because. Moron.

False. Destroyed vehicles do not respawn. False, destroyed vehicles do respawn. This bug was recently fixed, about a week ago. However, they don't respawn where they were last saved. They respawn at their specific map-based spawn location. If you found it at its original spawn location, that's where it will be. If you stole it form someone, it'll respawn where they found it. (again, assuming they found it at its original spawn point)

Based on the quote from the reddit thread, where the admin blatantly admitted to shutting down the server on purpose after being backstabbed, I'd say this deserves punishment. Another admin coming in and try to excuse it away is really pretty BS. It's obvious these guys were mad because someone got the better of them, and they didn't want to face the DayZ repercussions and abused the fact that they were hosting the server and had the power to reverse any damage done.
