Nope. Registered companies that sell online are under various customer protection laws. Bohemia Interactive as a company is accountable for it's transactions to the country in which they are incorporated as well as the accountability to Steam /which is also a registered trademark and is under similar, if not same customer protection laws. Joe Blow can sell you pixie dust and unicorn horns for hard currency and legally you'd have no recourse, As well as some unsuspecting victims could inadvertently hand over their pass codes and cc numbers if that is the type if scam that ''Joe'' is running.

Your post is quite true and reasonable, however, this is not a hopeless situation. It's just a matter of little tweaking and voila, we can haz shotguns where they should be spawned- in log cabins. And SKS and Mosins in barns all across the maps, and handguns in all houses really. Personally, I don't believe that NATO m4a1s have place on a Russian or Ukranian map apart from maybe helicopter drops or other similar scenarios. But, what ever, it's not end of the world even if they do spawn in military basis. Only an Apocalypse

As proven by the Arma 2 Dayz., modding only brings death to this game. Server owners aren't under pressure to keep gameplay fair nor ethical and so they ruin the average user experience by playing a role of the ''lord of the castle'' ingame. That's the one where exclusively server admins along with their buddies take the right to kill, exploit and cheat. Everyone else on the other hand is there to serve as bots with feelings... To add insult to injury, server owners are requesting from players to participate in micro transactions that will benefit only them and not the original creators of the game. Rocket would be a fool to allow his creation to again get hijacked by foreign incompetence. Edit option, perfect for when you're sober.
