Hm. I tested with some other buddies and what I know so far: - some items stay after server-restart, some disappear - tents become buggy. Like you can't pack it up after a restart, the items inside of the tent "disappear" with the restart, but re-appear, when you put another item in the tent (like tent has to "update" itself). Oh, and the tent disappears when the server crashes or you make a manual restart. (I lost a tent again, because a server often crashes in an interval of ~20 minutes. Every 20 mins it had "No response for X seconds...") So even on stable-servers, persistence is still pretty "experimental".

that's what I'm thinking, too :D but the Sporter/Ruger 10/22 has the best iron-sights, IMO. They're very clear and also totally accurate (there is a tiny tiny little piece at the top of the diamond-shaped area of the ironsights, which shows where the bullet will 99% of the time go on 200m+. While most other iron-sights are bigger (and therefore more "inaccurate" at ranges), the Ruger translates its game-file-accuracy perfectly to the game, while the Mosin has a good game-file-accuracy, but the iron-sights are sometimes to big to take advantage of the accuracy)

Actually, the Blaze is the 3rd accurate gun in the game ;) but I think the major "turn-off" of the B95 is the lack of any attachment and/or optic for it.

Also: I don't think any items "must" be better or a "side-grade". Look at the Longhorn, the Amphibia, the Bow or the Crossbow. These weapons are all "bad". Or items like the Hoodie, Jeans or Canvas pants. They serve no "real" purpose, but exist. And I think that's what makes DayZ good and unique. Not every item is a direct up- or sidegrade, but items just exist. (More diversity is always welcome. The more the merrier :D )

I was climbing down a ladder... "My leg is in pain. My leg is in extreme pain" ==> You are dead Well, finding and then keeping a tent became much more dangerous now xD I was searching through whole Dubky and was climbing up and down all of the skyscrapers. I found a tent and was happy, climbed down the ladder. and died. and respawned near Novo.... >:( But I know, alpha alpha... ;)

The problem is: Ladders have never been a problem for me. Also, you HAVE to get up these ladders to get a tent :p again: in was on the middle ladder in the tower. and I was climbing down and as soon as I got off the ladder, I was nearly instantly killed (just 1s time to see the leg-pain-message and then "CUT", Dead-Roy-Scene No. 1 )

Base in the woods will be more crowded and a place for server-hoppers. Well, at least I know where I'll go Hopper-hunting with the lever-action-rifle in the future

stand directly under them, or walk slowly beneath them while your have your inventory open and look at the left in "Vicinity". I was able to grab a spray-can out of 3m in the air with this "trick" xDD -

players should just play on this server ;) I think it's for "simple" testing-purposes for a server. what happens, when many people connect to it, play on it etc. -
Indeed, dood. all pistols have an accuracy of 0.03 now (except the longhorn(0.01) and Amphibia S(0.02))

The DEVs already clarified, that they want to keep DayZ as open as possible. There will be no NPCs, and probably no "safe-zones", since this would break the "sandbox-game"-theme, I think, because it guarantees some kind of 100%-safety. (Safe-trade-zones could be something for modders later down the road, I imagine :D )

"Low-gear" in form of not much gear, but not quality :D The Longhorn is harder to find than the AKM & Co.

But the Longhorn is fairly accurate and has a clear scope (for use on med-long-range), which the Obrez doesn't have. In the End, the Obrez (=sawn off Mosin) would suit your play-style better ;)

Yeah, but to be honest, I prefer the helmet without the visor. With the visor it looks so "broad". Gasmask + MASKA-helmet looks very bandit-like and still awesome, too ;) (I guess we will be able to have a gas-mask with this helmet, because special-forces-helmet, etc. etc.) EDIT: I have heard the MASKA-helmet offers no protection against any bullet. Is that true? -

Okidoki. I found 1 tent. In the large appartment-buildings in the "skyscraper-city" above Cherno (Called "Dubky") They spawn IN the rooms, like desinfactant-sprays & clothes do, too. So "just" search through all the big towers :D But when 2-3 people go for 1 tower, they can search relatively organized and quickly. As already said a bit: when I get off the ladder, I hit W 2x very fast and aim at the exit. You "just" (again, "just") need the right timing.
