EDIT: scroll to bottom ;) Heyho and hello, as some of you may have already thought, i really like westerns and old fashioned guns, etc. There are several things implemented/will be implemented soon, that make me think of DayZ like a Western-Game from time to time (Compass => Desert Hunting Backpack => Old Scout/Trapper backpack Magnum .44/Model 29 => Revolver => Clint Eastwood/Dirty Harry Western/Leather Holster => Model 29 =>.... Sawn-Off shotgun => Mad Max (I & II), Apocalyptic world, no rules, everyone fights alone or together, oil&gasoline are important and reasons to kill...) One Shot, One kill. Group together or stay alone to survive. Know, when to hide and when to go. Seems, like DayZ and things like that got a lot in common. And then i thought: Why not trying to post this and suggest it? Maybe the people/DEVs will listen maybe not, who knows? :D So now let's come to my suggestion(s): #1: Sawn Off shotgun & Leg Holster: When we already are going to have a Sawn Off shotgun: Why not bring a leg holster with it. Made out of leather, like Mad Max's? (if you haven't seen Mad Max I & II, or at least Mad Max II, then go, watch it nao! (Or as soon as possible) But watch it!) #2 Revolver, leather holster, poncho and hat anyone? I'm talkin' bout Clint Eastwood-style (Sry, not John Wayne. He's also famous and very cool, but his clothing is a bit too stereotypical for westerns, IMO)? We already have the Model 29 and the holster, so again: Adding a good looking western-touched and a poncho hat would give DayZ a lot more Western- and Apo-feeling. Maybe the poncho is already in the making, such as a raincoat or so. Then, the poncho-wish is useless ;) In the end, i "just" really with for a leg-holster,a good hat with style and a poncho :>. The leg-holster could "drop" in police-stations at a very rare chance, and just a little bit more often in military-barracks. The hat, on the other hand, could be found on farms (Farmer-Joe-style), i thought^^ Maybe my "wish" looks a bit odd or childish, but i'm just into this stuff ;) If you think this would be good, cool and not childish/counterproductive, support me ;) Comments and productive criticism are appreciated^^ Greetings and bye bye, Roy (tante) EDIT: What we(i ;)) wish for DayZ summed up in the spoiler: What we get/is confirmed:

16GB is a bit too over the top, i think. Because 8GB, which works together with the CPU is better than "slow" 16GB. (but that's just ma opinion on that)

Would be really cool. I am also sick of dying because of this. Am on top of roof, but after relog "u r dead", friend finds me dead 30m further away... Laying Mosin in the ground => "Connection lost" i know, it's alpha and all. But som ting leik 'dis should be eezy to implement

Oh dear. When i hear multiple gunshots, i think: => there are at least 2 people, because normally no-1 shoots, when he's alone (rednex excluded, ofc). => grab my stuff, and run into the woods. Maybe i see him/them again, and follow (and eventually kill) them (when i'm sure there is no danger). But luckely(?) he won both fights, good for you. P.S. I will never use the mountain backpack. Hunting is much more stylish and effective xD I'm curious, how it would have turned out, if the 1st guy wouldn't have had a M4 ;)

Hm. So when you get hit by a bullet, you just can go on? No knock-back, unconscious? Even a slingshot hits hard. So when you get hit by a bullet in the chest, of course, you should survive. But still, broken ribs and breathing probs. could possibly to happen. EDIT: Oh, and it should slow you down. I don't think any-1 in complete riot-armor can run very fast xD

Yes. It must take some time to draw a weapon out of the backpack. but an SKS, M4, Blaser or Shotgun in backpack + "insta" ready isn't fair. Having a handgun/sawn offshotty in the jacket, pants, holster or vest is Okay, i think.

yep, they said, that for every color they need another model. And that would be hundreds of new models... Would be hard to load and download, i think. but still a cool idea, tho.

^Yep^ Right now, i prefer to carry lots of food, instead of ammo/guns. You can avoid players pretty good, and when i see a player, i usually sneak away, or follow them quite a long time just 4 fun xD I just like to have a gun, when shit gets serious (but i got pretty bad bad bad aim, so a gun in my hand is actually more dangerous for me, than for a bambi xD)

Which guns did you find? I bet Mosin and Blaser K95. and both are superduper mega-awesome. People these days, xD Only military = acceptable and good. (No meant you, but just some guys i know.)

but they will just make the hit-zones a bit more realistic. And still i think, the machete should do really good dmg, when in a good condition, tho. Maybe we could sharp it with stones or pieces of metal?

I play in 3rd person, because i want to see my char, and i kinda think, that DayZ is also (partly) made for this.

I got a pristine PU-scope 4 u. Just gimme a some mosinrounds, Blaser98-speedloader or leatherjacket, when it's out.
