what do you think am I doing very often? I rarely find rope. Some days ago I found 2x PU-scope(pristine!!) in 1 garage, a hacksaw and leather-jacket in the other 2 garages! (but I already had a sawn off Mosin and leather-jacket, of course). THAT's my luck :D

Then make the items needed to craft one harder to find. I personally prefer the idea of needing to craft a suit, rather than just running to XY-location Z-times and then simply finding it. Or "punish" the use of a ghillie-suit. Limit the inventory-space, for example. No big backpacks, pants or jackets. Or just allow a backpack, but no pants/jackets when wearing a ghillie-suit, since the suit itself takes up the Chest- and Leg-slot.

Craft a gun-strap out of rope? Yes, but ONLY, if rope-spawns are increased "dramatically". I mean, at least every 2nd or 3rd house shouold have 2-4m of rope somewhere. Right now, rope is harder to find than a can of soda, for example, even though in reality a house is much more likely to have rope than a can of soda ;)

I don't really understand, how people want "more attachments" for their weapon, even though there are still some items/weapons in DayZ, which have gotten NO attachments at all. (Like the Blaze 95, Ruger 10/200, CZ 527, P1-pistol) Ghillie-suit has been suggested already many many MAAANY TIMES. ;) No clear answer from the DEVs. I personally don't like the idea of ghillie-suits, but well... ;) I think a ghillie-suit should only be able to be obtained by simply crafting it. For this I would suggest: 1 burlap sack + knife + sewing kit: Craft: Top(chest+arms), Trousers(legs) or "Hat". (For a chest-piece you'd maybe need 2 burlap-sacks). Then: Add either grass, spray-painted rags, kindling/sticks or coloured threads to it. Additionally, Ghillie-suits could degrade over time (=loose grass, rags, etc.), so after a certain time you'd need to "refill" the Ghillie-suit-item with either Rags, Grass, kindling or thread. So all in all to craft a total ghillie-suit a player would need ("level" of difficulty to obtain a certain item): Burlap sack (3-4 pieces) (medium - hard)Sewing kit (or heavy duty sewing kit) (medium - hard)Knife/Machete (easy-medium)Grass, Sticks, Rags, etc. (very easy) The DEVs clearly stated, that they want to keep the UI as simple as possible (So no names above players, no big menu to pick actions from(=that'y why F1-F8 are used for gestures)) Chris Torchia said in a stream, that the DEVs will probably implement a "heavy duty sewing kit" to repair items, which are made out of harder material, like backpacks or the leather jacket.

^this^ DEVs said, that they need a better hit-clip-detection-system on a better "engine" for coats/dusters. But now, that DayZ's engine will be changed, I think this will come surely somewhere some time in the future. And yes, we NEED Ponchos. A Poncho would increase the bad-assery-level over 9000, increase Revolver- and lever-action-firing-speed by +20%, increase damage by +15 and the Poncho-wearer is immune to stupidity and irony. and with Ponchos, animations like this:

I would like to quote you here: "Use search-function" ;) Has been suggested multiple times already :P But I think this is nevertheless a good idea. However, I would also like to "change" the inventory a bit, because a bandage is not as big as a bullet. Or a soda-can is not as small as a bullet. A road-flare has not the same size as a chemlight or a pen. Dividing every square in the inventory in another smaller 4 squares would be cool.

Blaclava has been confirmed already. Also civilian balaclavas (=ski masks) military goggles are in the gamefiles already, named "TacGoggles" ;) -

THAT was my thought behind this, too. Switching the scopes would balance the game even more than leaving the situation alone like this right now. EDIT: Mosin&B95 have the same dispersion, 0.001. Overall, many weapony have the same dispersion and are more accurate now. M4, AKM, AK101, Ruger10/22 and SKS have 0.0015 -

While one side of me wants you to screw the "realism"-freaks, and just give the CZ527 and Blaze 95 (especially the Blaze) a damn optic ASAP, I also understand your thoughts behind that ;) Actually, I'm quite happy that the problem of (long-range-)-KoS is always kept in mind by you guys (But of course I have to say, giving the B95 an optic wouldn't be as "dangerous" for the weapon-balance/KoS, as giving a 75-rounds-magazine +bipod to the AKM, which makes the AKM basically as accurate as the Mosin (Moisn has 0.001 dispersion, AKM with AK-buttstock, plastic-hadguard+bipod has 0.0009) -

Man. There are different Teams of DEVs. And the ones, who add new guns/clothes/items are not the ones, who work on bugfixing or lootrespawn. Even if the DEVs would follow you wish. Then the Art-developement-team would work on optimizing the game. And so what? They are not "specialized" for that. Also keep in mind: The DEVs hired a whole new small studio in another city, I think, who worked on the Navmesh. The Developement-process is always getting faster, it seems. Look at the last patches 0.46, 0.47 and 0.48. Hunting was added, animals were added, fishing, chopping down trees, mining rocks, fireplaces, loot-respawn, tents, item-persistence...

There are already somewhere models of rabbit-snares in the gamefiles, so I think the DEVs have the idea of traps in mind (as well as hunting-, but maybe also "human"-traps with Nade+rope or something like this)

Man. The AA-12 1. is 'murican. But many people (me included) want weapons in DayZ, which fit the setting. And these weapons are mostly eastern/"russian" or "soviet" weapons. What mag has the AA-12? Normal one and the drum-thingy? Damn. Having the AA-12 with a drummag and 20-30 shells.... This is like another spray-weapon (it's not even spray'n pray, just spray) for "CoD"-kiddos, who play DayZ to KoS and "rambo" around with AKM+75rounds or M4 with 60roundmag... But the problem is, that every shot from the AA-12 would be a one-hit-kill under 15/20m for sure... and that with a Firerate of what? Simply put: AA-12 would heavily influence the weapon-balance (to the bad, I would think) Yeah, why not also add a .50-Cal-sniperrifle to DayZ to throw gun-balance completely out of the window.# Add .50-cal-SR: increased the Kill-on-Sight-range to 50km? Check increased PvP-action? Check -

AA-12? Why=? just because it's an AA-12 :P Flare-gun is already in the makin', PKM will probably also come as a vehicle-mounted LMG, too. -

..... ;) Balaclavas are already in the making and confirmed. Military and civilian balaclavas, too. They'll be added in 2-4 weeks, I think -
Leather jacket(with a sawn off shotgun in it, of course) & Brown/Summer Hunterpants. Once safe and working persistent storage is in, I'll also wear either a Chestholster+Revolver or the normal UK-vest + an improvised backpack (either the Boar-skin- or the Leather-sack).

that's what I always want: ;) Being able to cut leather/animal-skin into stripes and using them as ropes/strings for patching things up and crafting items. Maybe also combine 2-4 leatherstripes and make a more solid rope out of it for a weapon-sling, etc.

Thanks! Because "god" is not as forgiving as I am. Srsly, sorry, dude. I only read the latest offers, because the previous ones were not suited for me (and I bet there are some other people, who also just have a look at the latest trade-offers and will not browse through previous pages ;) ) The "problem" with capslock is that usually you assume the guy is "shouting". Often capslock is used by people/kiddos who want to make their text look "more important" than other texts. And trading with such "kiddos" can be danergous. (that was my "train of thought behind your text). But I don't know you, so I was wrong, as it seems ;)

Something like this is already there on exp.-servers, AFAIK. EVERY items there is persistent, but normal items lying around degrade and then disappear fairly quickly, wheres items stored in containers (Yellow boxes, Ammo-boxes and medic-bags) degrade way slower and survive more server-restarts (But I don't know the exact number of restarts, sorry)

Sorry man, but you seem to be rather dangerours to trade with ;) Being Cap'n Capslock, just shouting around "I need X, I want Y". If you want to increase the chance of finding someone to trade with, also tell us the items you offer to trade, so everybody in this thread can have a look at your trade-"options".
