Rolling Changelog: Stable Branch: 0.32.114557
whoops replied to rocket's topic in News & Announcements
You seem like not have bothered to read my message. I've been waiting for DayZ SA for the whole year, bought it right when it had became available and now have 200+ hours in-game (and I am happy). I do not want a rocket launcher, I just do not tend to call every single point in new patch note SUPA-DUPA-AMAZING. What I am trying to imply is that where is so much work before new things will become useful. If everybody like me just gtfo as you propose than there would be no sense in further development because you fan-boys are just extremply happy with useless frying pans. Maybe that is you who'd better quit forever? (Oh wait, before you quit, I must test my brand new camo-single-ammo mosin with compensator attached and you will be my burlapsacked victim!) -

Let's talk about usefulness. New shorts and berets are cool, but are they useful? New town is amazing, but can you call a town "useful"? Moreover, we were talking about new loot. Burlap sack for kidnapping is useless because it doesn't prevent people from logging out while you kidnap them. I do not say the patch is bad, it just for some reason has been released with some noticeable bugs which resulted in only couple new useful items — a shotgun and hacksaw. I do not think I am overreacting or being too much skeptic if I state that ATM there is no sense in including such items as frying pan and cooking pot if we can not cook. -

Check if you are on regular or hardcore servers. They have different character DBs now. -

Server rejoin fixes your broken legs. Rejoining server and running forward while your game is still loading gets you out of textures. -

Yeah, yeah, you are right, but isn't it the only useful new item at the moment? EDT: Ah, wait, speedloaders and shoes/pants... -

For all these «DAT'S ALPHUR!» criers: Yes, this is alpha. Yes, we expect some massive bugs and lack of content. Yes, it would be stupid to ask: «Ah, this game is so raw, why do they price it at $30?!» and demand to fix all the major bugs at a time. On the other hand, it is equally stupid to say this game is fine and demand complainers to GTFO. There is a thing called constructive criticism and shouldn't you be afraid of it. As for me, I like DayZ mod, I like DayZ SA alpha and I believe some day it will reach its full potential. However, I am not a fan-boy who sits in front of monitor with saliva dribbling from mouth claiming this game is perfect. I had tried last patch in experimental branch and I do not understand why it has been released to stable with some obvious bugs. Public ETA was Friday, so what is this rush? «Bugged berrypicking? Ok, let's just delete berrypicking. Bugged mosin paint? Ok, let it be. Weapon cleaning kit causes pristine mosin to become worn? Seems legit, time to bring this patch to public branch». What's the point in testing then? Nevertheless, thanks for new fixes and much more content. However, I would prefer patches coming to stable to be less buggy. -

It is not your corpse, it is just the corpse of your previous character. You sure can run to it and loot it. Yes, logically, you should not know where to find that corpse, but listen, this is a video game, we should not expect total realism. Would you maybe prefer to have your game being deleted from hard drive after in-game death? Would be sooo realistic! -
Being Able To Carry 2 Rifle Sized Guns Would Be Nice

you just confirmed what I've said abou russian army, lol -
We play in a large group, often more than five person running together. We hunt in busy places like Balota and NWAF. All wearing same military loot (ttsko plus helmet). Yes, sometimes we kill eachother but that is EXTREMELY rare and happened only twice. It is the matter of right way of group communication and constantly telling your mates where you are and what are you doing, you know. Like "Charlie, moving to the second barrack" stuff. Your group mates shall use same definitions for same places, tell their position in right way (not like "that's me, I am in these trees"), know what azimuth is, and you will be alright (at least you won't kill each other).

The only problem now is that m4 and mosin both have item size of 7x3 (axe is 1x5), so you could carry them if you could have items "rotated" in your iventory. I find it rather justified if you can carry second large firearm only in largest (5x7) backpack and having only 14 more free slots left in it. Regarding "army argument": first, we are not soldiers and have much less strict rules and roles at battlefield, and second, afaik some army units wield two large firearms. Russian army snipers, for example, often carry SVD and VSS "Vintorez" at the same time. -
I saw a bunch of servers named like "we kick don't join" as well as password protected servers. Hope these bastards will get their ban.

IMO making zeds tough as hell won't decrease KOS but only increase it. See, if your group have too choose between going to a military base and risk your lifes by fighting a hoard of ass-kicking zombies, or just ambush some other small group for their loot, what is easier and safer?
