do you people know how large some of the packs that those who serve in the armed forces carry? Most of the time they will carry anywhere between 50-100 Lbs! although it is a lot they can still do it or how much a fire fighter suit weighs? the usually carry 60-70 Lbs while being nimble through a burning builder. Should you get tired faster the more you carry? yes, but if you are being chased by a zombie you should get an adrenaline boost. This is my 2 cents on the matter -

your best bet is to look for a clan/gaming group. I play with a clan and we don't always SOS we have actually dropped food and water for new players. And then again not many people want to tangle with 5-10+ people all armed to the teeth -
Can you put it in a backpack? and if not can you destroy a gun so others cannot use it?

I know I and my friends in the clan I am in try to help people and not always shoot on site, we're a pretty scary bunch as usually we roam in a group of 5-10 people all armed to the teeth. But sometimes we come across a new person or someone who re-spawned and we will drop some food and water for them and usually say go on your way and don't follow us (you can never be to sure). So don't get to disappointed there are some good guys out there.
