I wish I had listened to my paranoia and moved veeeeeeeery far away, but instead I was travelling the coast like a noob :/

Just recently I was playing DayZ, casually enjoying the scenery as the sun goes down and of course, I start to get a little paranoid "What will I do If I get shot...Right now" "I bet there's someone waiting behind that tree over there who will shoot me" now normally it's just silly paranoia after spending hours getting good loot (had just got an ACOG sight from balota) this time however was very different. Two men in military gear come out of the grass a small distance in front of me, and just open fire. I hope they enjoy my two boxes of cereal I was saving to eat as I watched the sun go down.

It's for people to use so that they can just steal your things without killing you. For the highway robbers out there. Chances are you'll still get killed though. It renders you basically unable to move, you can't shoot back, you can't do anything you would normally do. Eventually they're meant to be adding in the ability to put bags/sacks over your head. That will certainly make hostage-taking much more interesting.

I know people will hate the comment I'm about to make, but...Sure, they're not a threat right now, they have nothing. HOWEVER, if you allow them to leave you alive there is a chance that at some point they will end up killing you. That's not usually a risk I am willing to take. I'm not saying I'll try to kill EVERYONE I meet, I have left a few people alive, usually when they have literally no idea I'm there, but 9 times out of 10, I will at least attempt to kill them.
