    "Damn, shouldn't have done that, now i'm back at the fucking coast!" ^ see? I want that in DayZ. - Not everything we attempt should be a success, or even a good idea for that matter. This is not about shotguns explicitly, just dual wielding as put in the title. Shotguns and pistols were my examples.

    As i said, accuracy should be out the window, a slower reload, and ofc the recoil should correspond to the firearm :) I just don't see the point in only adding the best solution to a problem.. Holding two pistols/sawed-offs would be a last-ditch-imma-rambo-this-out effort that might as well fail, but it would most likely happen at some point, and i think to some would be a natural decision to make. (after all, someone has to die in the apocalypse!)

    There's pretty much a blizzard going on outside at the moment, so i'd rather not, but opinion duely noted. On regards to the Arma engine limitations i guess that i am maybe hoping for too much, but fuck it, someone has to hope for a cool hold-up situation where you can actually point your guns at two different people at once.
  4. +1 I'd rather have less loot, but be able to take care of it (maybe fix someone else's dumped stuff), than just leave damaged shit and find some new stuff.

    clouds - disabled hdr - very low ^ This did the trick for me. Night is still night (no brightness+gamma) but you can actually see. Outdoors, anyway..
  6. Actually, i'm gonna agree on this one. I would love a bit of gore in the world of DayZ! The amount of zombies i can deal with, but i am missing that feeling of everything turned to shit. Save a few Z's and some ripped wallpaper, it is basically your idyllic countryside! Give us piles of burned bodies, give us skulls and bones from rotting animals/humans, that sort of stuff! EDIT: Even taking into consideration that there will be a lot more Z's later on..

    Any more info on this? How much accuracy do you lose, and does it apply to all scopes? (ie. redpoints too)

    Can you craft double mags with tape?

    Yup... and with the stanags, how about just turning one bottoms up? That would fix your problem and is generally used anywhere irl.

    I too find this a good suggestion :) It worked pretty well in the mod, even though it was only after combat. As long as people still get punished for alt+f4

Correct me if i'm wrong, but i've been reading a lot of posts saying the mod was an alpha, and i always understood that the mod was, well.. a mod of Arma II, and that the decision to turn it into a standalone game was made later on? If i'm right, this should clarify things for a few people out there. tl;dr: mod <--> alpha

    Suggestions - development

    Smoking. Like, a cigarette will let you ignore/postpone your hunger for a while, but when the effect wears off you will be even more hungry. Also you would get addicted and have a message pop up every ~20m saying "I need a cigarette" "I really want a cigarette" etc. I dunno if the addiction should have an impact like a vague shaking, or just for the RP aspect, but i really think smoking could be cool!
