Seriously? I'm playing with a team of 8 mates, lookup the other thread i posted in "bandits & a**holes". Im alive for 53 days ingame now and I'm playing every day if I like to. And that was just a question, I'm getting the best gear now and just wonder if the work is worth it or not? I understand now, why anyone is shoot on sight - u don't have to be careful anymore if u know that u can't keep ur stuff? :D

I heard from some seperate DB running servers already, but I don't know how I should set up such a server. Yea, but with another DB (seperate) you have to start all over again. So - my point in being afraid of "lose all my progress" is still here.. :s

Exactly that and all the survived days and stuff. And what about the files for a private server after the release of Arma 3? So we can play Arma 2 DayZ ahead or whatever. I'm already thinking of scavenging here and finally its really for nothing. :s

One thing. Bandits don't ever travel in groups of just 3. We're in a group of 8 guys now. 4 snipers, 4 "assault"-guys. We build 4 teams a 2 guys and split ourself up. If we spot a guy, hes getting a bullet in his head. Don't matter if friendly or not, because we're too far away with our .50 cal snipers. If we hit em and kill em, the 4 "assault"-guys heading to his body to take the stuff (especially food and drink for the snipers, they have ghillies and never leave the forest). While they heading for the dead body all 4 snipers are paying attention that the scavengers don't get killed -> if another one comes, hes got a bullet too. That's not assholish or anything, it's just a super organized team.

Sometimes my Hatchet doesn't have "ammo" after reloggin. Have to drop it or just switch it to toolbelt and back. No problem so far (:

Actually the first thing I do every time I respawn is move to Cherno or Elektro. Theres some good starter loot and decent guns (for the start at least), you can find a nice backpack and fill it for a long journey. So don't avoid these towns, just be aware of some SOS-guys.
