Characters do not get hungry or thirsty when you're logged out, it used to be that way but people didn't like it so it was removed (Hell, you even could die of thirst or hunger while logged out before.) Direct Chat works, I don't really think people use it often though. It might just be that you haven't met anyone who uses direct chat, and they just ignore you when you do say something.

I don't really like the idea of an "endgame" I'd much prefer that instead of working on the endgame Rocket just makes the journey to be the guy with all of the best gear and best chance of surviving a lot longer. After all, the journey to get good gear is more interesting than having good gear.

REAL alpha testing - Do you want it or not?

I think what Rocket's aiming for is an alpha where he can control what's going on and see how player's would play the game, and change parts of the game/fix bugs accordingly. -
Eh, either idea is kind of "Meh" for me. Underground bases don't make sense to me, and above-ground towns would probably lag the shit out of the server.

For the love of god no memes, I honestly don't want to see the same copy-pasted unoriginal memes that pop up all over the internet. I'd much rather see something that takes an actual amount of imagination or skill to accomplish, like a Fan Trailer. -

Eh, trust me. Everytime I've gotten a vehicle I found it very easy to have it broken as it is. Bumping into a rock will destroy your engine, getting shot at enough times will fuck up your car, and trying to drive over a small rock in the middle of the road will destroy a tire. Losing a car is very easy already.

I'd suggest waiting a little bit to see if Steam will have a better sale for Arma 2: CO. It's very likely they'll have a good sale for it (More than the current 20% right now.), think of how much money they'd make if they lowered the price by half?

You don't really need a feature for this added in, either actually scream into your mic or find out how to play a "War-Cry" over VON.

Yogscast spawned weapons and Admin Help?

The point of this is to express how we don't think that Youtuber's should misrepresent the game. People will be buying it for the wrong reason then, and we'd get a flood of "Those Kind" of player's, yeah you know those kind. The one's that post on the forums angry that they "Spent 20$ on DayZ and don't like it.". I mean come on, just because they're Youtube "Celebrities" doesn't mean they should get special treatment in game, or not be punished for doing stuff that's against the rules for normal players. -
I only use Six Updater for mods like ACE and I44, for DayZ since it's in alpha I use an entirely different launcher that lets me launch DayZ after I put the mod files in there by myself since I didn't want Six Updater to manually update for a buggy alpha.

Incredibly sexist, we obviously have to work against Rockets clear misogyny with a protest. Or just realize that this is an alpha, and Rocket hastily added in said female model due to a bunch of guys wanting to play as women in the game demanded it. It's not that big of a deal, if you want to put on the two rare spawning clothes then play as a male. -
Players going insane on too many player kills

This idea is terrible, I sincerely hope people stop suggesting ways to punish certain playstyles. I mean, I don't even play bandit and I think this is stupid. -
I'm very much for an idea similar to this. Although I suggest it should mainly be focused on an a few animations, generally a "hands up" animation that takes a few seconds to get out of. Handcuffs would be great though, I think giving player's non-lethal options would definitely stem the tide of the whole killing on sight mentality slightly.

Oddly enough this happens to me often, but only seems to happen if my FPS is doing terrible. Anytime my FPS is high, I'm running at normal speed.

Rocket specificaly stated that he was not going to punish either playstyle, the game's primary focus was, and always will be PvP. -

Turning it off is usually for the best, it's more immersive without music blaring in your ears and you'll actually be able to hear. -

The mod is already free to play, you bought Arma 2: CO not DayZ. If Rocket adopted a F2P model, I'd imagine the only transactions would be cosmetic items. -
For low difficulties it's suppose to represent seeing something out of the corner of your eye, or something. When translated into DayZ, it'll mean you'll be seeing a lot of white circles everywhere.

Firstly, don't ever, and I mean ever get attached to your loot. You have to realize that when you're playing DayZ, you can easily lose hours of gear in a matter of minutes. People are always going to act like this on the internet, just either ignore it or don't let it bother you. Being a peaceful player may suck at times, but it definitely has its moments if you stick with it.

I've never had problems with weapons vanishing while going to and from my backpack, the only time it'll disappear is if you put a weapon in a backpack when there's no room. Always make sure you have more than ten slots in your backpack before putting a weapon in there, coyote patrol packs will not hold a weapon despite being ten slots.
