Just wondered as in my work I occasionally have to deal with injuries. Just wanted to know if there was a link to loss of color vision and shock as I couldn't find anything.
-
can you provide a link to this statement as I'd be interested to read about it, the Blurry, grey-scale vision is a common symptom of pain-related shock.bit.

Final Thoughts from an Early MOD player....
Jonah_Hobbes replied to xalienax's topic in General Discussion
There is a split between those wanting DayZ to be be the ultimate survial game that includes making stuff and farming/harvesting just to stay alive with less attention to pvp. They are called Bear-Gryllers, Harvesters, Hobos, Hickians. There are the others that want the ultimate survial game that includes a bit of crafting, hunting, etc but not at the expense of damping down pvp action and zombies. They are called Whiners, Casuals, (even though the ain't) or The Game is Not For You-ers. Both want slighty different things, both however want a a really tough game and a very similar game. The majority of real casual players want the current game but with less bugs and a pretty easy game at that. A game where they can run around the coast and try and eat each other whilst wearing dresses. Both of the the above camps reckon most of the casuals will move on from the game when it gets too hard for fresh spawns to survive. Both camps probably need to stop arguing on here, (myself included), and sensibly let the devs know that there should be room for both types of players in a single game. -
Yes I'm in total agreement.
-
I'm not a casual when I joined a recent whitelist server, I was in the top precentage with the amount of time I'd put into the game. Yes I know there are players who have racked up far more, but just cuse I don't want to pick apples all day doesn't mean I'm a casual. Also we know you love Hicks and that's cool - but change the record.
-
You half a dozen guys on here that keep saying the game is not for "you", (those of us that don't want a farming/harvesting sim), Sorry but I think the game is for us. I bought all the Arma stuff just so I could play the Mod so I have a right to my opinion. I bought the SA within the first day it came out and have put in around 550 hours. I only keep a very occasional eye on dev tweets but to be fair I find social media tedious and would rather be outside watching my pumpkins grow and wrestling bears in my underwear than listen to the gobby Hicks and his defenisve unprofessional threats. I too prefered Hall. Most of us Farming Sim haters want a tougher survival game, we want rare loot, we want it to be super hard to find a gun, we want stupidly tough zombies and we want extreme violence involving other players. We want to explore the map. We want to see "You are dead" and to start over again. What we really want is to keep the game as a Survival Horror game, not a Survival Farming sim. Surely we can have both?

Not in the fishing industry but I know several kiwi chicks who don't wear many clothes.
-
NWAF even on a server with broken loot. Shot in the back having a drink from the pump.
-
Sorry I don't get off on the w*nkfest that goes on when one of the devs breaks wind. And yes I am witty that's why the chicks love me.
-
So we basically want the same thing then. I rarely pvp but love it when I run into someone. I don't hang out on the coast and I get bored of the game if there is too much loot.

DayZ 0.55 has given the sentence "the coast is clear" a true meaning
Jonah_Hobbes replied to Mental Burner's topic in General Discussion
0.55 scared the shit out of the devs, even though it was just a messed up loot system that put everything in toilets in the north. The Bear Grylllers were celebrating even though there was a ton of stuff up north, but a lot of folk f*cked off. So the devs rolled it back which seemed to make some servers empty of everything apart from shitty xpolsions of rubbish stuff. Even though Hicks is apparently saying" f*you shareholders and lame/whiner players - we are going to be a HC crafting game" - according to 3 people on this forum I don't think it's the case. I don' think this is what he wants. He wants to keep the game a Zombie Survival Horror but a hard Zombie Survival Horror. We've just got to hang in here on this forum,. keep commentating and not leave the game up to the handful of nutjobs that want to run around in rabbit skins with spears. (which they should be able to do in the game if they want). -
What?
-
Yeah because in this current economic climate companies are happy to support projects that make no money as long as the employees are happy. :)
-
He's a developer and I'm guessing does not speak for the shareholders. If this does not make anymore money because it's become boring then Bohemia will pull the plug or bring in people to make it profitable even if the DayZ side of things isn't the companies biggest earner. That's a fact of life, doesn't matter what a developer says. Incidentally my point is that the game should not be some pure crafting-hunting game because apart from a few people, it will be extremely boring. If you read what he said he does not mention removing the zombie/pvp side of things he just wants to make the game harder. Most of us on here, myself included, all want the game harder. A lot of us just don't want a crafting game. DayZ should be big enough to fit all. My greatest fear is the Bear Grylls wannabes, like you, get their way and the zombie/pvp element gets toned down. This will kill the game and that would be a terrible shame. Be careful what you wish for as you might end up with Hick's 10 people playing.
-
Yes I'm sure Bohemia's shareholders will totally support that stance when noboby is buying the game or playing it particularly with the competition out there.

Here's a link that might be helpful in controlling your baby-rage. Hopefully you can find someone to take on the parenting role. http://www.webmd.com/parenting/guide/preventing-temper-tantrums-in-children No matter how they jazz it up sunshine, picking berries is never going to be as fun as killing Z's or other players. You also have to understand that this is a game that is driven by money and shifting units. As far as I'm aware Dean whatshisface was a creative consultant and will have little or no control over how it ends up.
-
Surviving off of berries and apples for hours is not brutal it's boring, it's not challenging, anyone can do it with a basic knowledge of the map. There has to be a balance of some loot, so you get a kick out of finding an item you don't yet have but not stacks of loot in every other house. The Z's need to be more prevalent and stronger. There needs to be enough guns and ammo lying around so other players can get armed after some effort. There is nothing better than having the to sh*t d scared out of you when you hear a nearby gunshot. I Had this today I ran for higher ground and spent 15 minutes scanning a town, looking at what the Z's were doing trying to find the gunman. He had a MP5 by the sounds of it and I had a Blaze. Never did find him but it was high-intensity and great fun.
-
Only for everyone to KOS each other at the meet up point. Actually it's sounding like a good idea... :)
-
You usually know pretty quickly if folk wanna kill you or not. If the do, it's often from behind and you never see it coming. If you have a weapon in your hands and the other guy doesn't then just put yours away.

Do Zombies Dream Of A Good Nights Sleep? (Zombie feedback)
Jonah_Hobbes replied to SmashT's topic in General Discussion
sounds like the wife. -
Nah I like the shaggy look from behind.
-
Thongs?? What we are getting more clothing? I'll only be happy with thongs if they spawn next to clippers so I can give myself a Brazilian.
-
The last thing I want is some sort of endgame instance. I basically got kicked out of a WOW guild, back in the day, because I wasn't prepared to commit the 5-6 hours every sunday for raiding. There are plenty of guild based games out there. Lets not turn DayZ into one.
-
I still got murdered at the NWAF even though there was nothing worth looting there. Seems old habits die hard. There has been a big drop in people playing though and they need to fix the loot ASAP as i'm bored to death finding worn brooms and sh*t. Might take a break.
-
That's not strictly true. One of the reasons Scott died on his his final mission to the south pole was that the ate too much Pemmican which is too rich in protein to be eaten all the time. The lack of variety of food almost sent them insane.
