First vs Third Person Discussion (Dslyecxi video)

Finally; 1pp may not be the cause in a majority of situations. My brother used to get similar sickness when interacting with any aspect of a computer screen and being an electronic engineer this is a crucial part of his job. The solution? He needed glasses. Other reasons could include photosensitive disorders, refresh rates, mouse sensitivity levels, over-exposure etc. Aside from all of this again, there is medication and therapy that can help. Point is, we all have problems, myself included, but it should not be the developers responsibility or burden to bear. They have server issues to deal with! What a charitable stance you have - pat yourself on the back. So the mod and the standalone has 3pp now you want to remove that? It seems to me that you feel the need for the world to revolve around you then? So you can enjoy the game your way? I bought the game with a 3pp and expect official servers to support that. I love roller coasters. Never been seasick despite being in some significant weather on both sides of the world. So I'd put that ahead of being able to tolerate motion sickness from a computer game. Yeah we've got no idea of figures but google "motion sickness" and "video games" and you get to see a huge number of people suffering from this. That's fine if DayZ want to continue to marginalize itself further which seems to be the tone of things on this forum these days. -

FFS How many times!!!!!??? There are many of us who don't play 1pp or FPS games because it makes us feel sick, nauseous etc. Motion sickness if research is to be believed effects 10% to 50% of gamers, The effects, which are usually feeling so sick that you want to vomit and headaches, can continue after you stopped playing the game for two to three hours. It's a nightmare I would dearly love to play 1PP but I'm not putting up with 3 hours of feeling like I've been poisoned for 15 minutes DayZ time which is usually all I can handle. And yes I've tried everything. -
sorry got a terrible case of hiccups so not thinking straight but didn't we buy the game on release for $30?
-
Just seen the game on Steam and they say the price has been reduced by 15% or something but isn't it now at it's original price?
-
Yeah Blizzard is a bit different from Bohemia and kept people amused with other titles no???

No the argument has changed as most of us used to say "Alpha" to the idiots who were moaning about lack of content, bugs not being fixed, etc. However we should have been looking beta squarely in the face by now but there is nothing to suggest that's actually going to happen The game has fallen off the radar, I don't see it making any giant strides that will bring people back. They hired more folk to work on the game but it's not really changed anything. I think Rocket did a great job of keeping everyone's sh*t together and leading. After he left his replacement was poor and alienated the people who want to pretend they are living in Walking Dead Landscape and kill zombies - the majority of folk who bought the game. Also those that go on about the population who don't understand the process of building a game - true ,most of us don't. We lose interest and move on. Someone f*cked up somewhere.

It's a survival sim blah, blah, blah You had Hicks saying about 6-8 months ago he wanted a pure survival sim, Z's not important and he'd make the game that fitted his vision and it didn't matter even if only 3 people played it. Well he's got his wish and I hope his arse-kissing fanboys are happy with it too. Caboose, etc. I got a lot of stick over being against that stance at the time but I reckon I've been proved right. Even if they got someone in to try and get the project back on track people have forgotten the game. I'm gutted.

christ what are you on about?
-
Hang on wasn't that the patch where all the loot was just piled up in the outside toilets up north? Hardly challenging once you'd figured that out. So how are the HC crafters finding the game now with no Zombies? Isn't it there idea of heaven? Christ some of us that like zombies - the sh*t we took from the Hicks fanboys.

What is the best way to leave a written note? I want your opinions.
Jonah_Hobbes replied to Lorax's topic in General Discussion
I used to leave notes to a fictional friend about a nameless horror at Green Mountain, warning my friend not to go there. I'd put it in a backpack on a persistent server. -
Please, stop building villages everywhere

Strange argument, has anyone designed a living infected humaniod that kills on sight? No, neither have the devs. I have however seen a gazillion zombie films, read books, etc. So I'd be up there in what I think should be expected in The Infected/Zombies. I think the devs are getting there. I have some experience of looking at transport infrastructure in cities but that was pertaining to cycle lanes. I would therefore say I have slightly more experience than most on here about city planning, so what I says is gospel, which is the map is lovely. -
Should DayZ 1.0 feature events and world cycle?
Jonah_Hobbes replied to Coheed_IV's topic in General Discussion
Yeah I've wondered about cycling 'loot storms' to mimic a start of the epidemic with resources slowly running out over time.
