Why are people being so biased? Why not add in music regardless, there is the option to turn it off anyway, it'll keep both sides happy?

To be honest, what makes this game for people like me, and also other people is the tension of coming across bandits, and there is nothing wrong with killing other players because it's a pvp style of game, whether rocket intended this or not... does the game deem playable when it's only PvE even when the zombies do not pose much of a threat at all? The "Fun" Aspect of the game for many players is being number 1 in the wasteland and that is perfectly fine, there is nothing wrong with players killing eachother, infact, people who want to be friendly should go and meet friendlies on forums to play with rather than risking everything they found to die at the hands of another player. If you don't like it, then you should try set up a group for PVE servers and make friendly fire impossible, but if that wants to be playable... there will need to be something like zombie hordes, night time zombie buffs and random forest- zombie spawns to make the game a challange, other than that, the game is going to primarily stay pvp.

So far, the only thing that affects the M4 is the Bipod and the Scope, and even at that, the scope only gives you a better FPS view with absolutely no range advantage.

you dont lose blood for no reason, there is a valid reason as to why you are losing blood but it is certainly not to being tired, have you perhaps been hit by zombies without realising? remember it is quite buggy and they can hit through walls.

let a friend know where you are or if not, leave it on while you go eat or something and then you will die eventually, however, i'd try every way to try get out.

Well, I live in Belfast. Belfast is in the North of Ireland, in fact it is the capital, however, houses little over 1.2 million people and is not a huge place, yet, on day z with hundreds of servers, HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF PLAYERS, 191 DIFFERENT COUNTRIES, 10000 DIFFERNT STATES 7 BILLION PEOPLE IN THE WORLD, I JOIN A SERVER WITH 1 PLAYER ON IT, HE FINDS ME IN A BARN, IN THE MIDDLE OF BOB AND KILLS ME WITH A PEN, AND MOCKS ME IN MY OWN ACCENT, WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH THE WORLD.

I guess they should start bringing out Happy Meals to hit Americans with.

I was running pretty much for like half an hour across a field of foreboding, awaiting the apparent distant appearance of buildings, or even perhaps an illusion to keep me occupied on running to a certain location, so i hopped a derelict fence into a random cottage-filled area and took 20 swigs of water from a water pump. I then kept running where my guy continued to make strange noises and got a message saying "your stomach is more full than usual"... i then attracted lots of zombies to my location, i kept running and then i literally threw up white stuff everywhere and fainted and zombies ate me.

Am I one of a handful of players that has not encountered any reason to b**ch about on the current state of the game? I'll be honest and say that I convinced my 3 friends to buy this game and none of them has played it with me since the release day and I'm having a blast... even if it's lonely and very melancholy to have to travel 40 KM inland with nothing but a shovel for defence, but it feels nostalgic, like before i played the dayz mod.. back when i saw those videos of people playing it thinking, "wow this game looks so great i will buy ArmA II and OA TO PLAY THIS!!" Well, I am really loving it, the gun play is great, the zombies are creepy, however, the only thing i will say is, i am really sick of hearing the same old zombie groans from the mod, you know, the very high pitched 28 day later kind of screeches, give them real zombie sounds, like resident evil style and you'll have your players genuinely freaked out. keep up the good work DEVs Sincerely, A satisfied customer.

It hasn't happened to me yet, i'm sticking to the same few servers/hosts that i usually do, i'd say you should do the same so you don't lose your gear from transitioning.

Depending on your hardware, operating systems can only go so far in terms of multimedia software and the like, but you are best doing a quick review of your specifications and perhaps put them on here so we can have a look?.

I understand this, but literally you will see newsletters and stupid tabloid news that nobody listens to because they make false figures, and what they have to say is that "DayZ standalone has launched and it's a bit unplayable... click to read more" etc; DayZ Standalone has NOT launched, they are informing the gaming community that the game was launched half-baked as it were. Sure a guy could do a bit of research and make his own mind up, but i already know a couple of guys who turned a blind eye to it because of what they heard... people just can't appreciate what it's like to be a part of a growing community.

i've already found all possible loot 2-3 times over. I think that i am enjoying the game in alpha as much as i enjoy other games, but i would like to see more guns added in with extra rarity, which would give players a good incentive to explore further out to more contested areas, such as the barracks situated north of kamenka and NWAF. Not only would this throw the players a bone to pick at whilst you work on your bugs and what not, it would also keep players more active on the game. Good luck with the patches in the future.
